is there a way i can send you free games keys for an update to a game you did a video on a while back (backrooms generator)?

used raycasting for the enemy AI. it roams around but if it sees the player it will give chase.

for the look of it/colors. its mainly rendering tricks and just changing material colors.

for entities, its all particle emitters, forcefeilds and rendering tricks.

trying to get a stable playground to develop the idea further, thanks for checking it out :)

this has been my experience (although i learned Java at college which really was the foundation for me).

i dont watch tutorials, just started by making tiny things and expanding them. using google to find solutions to problems in text form (AI is quite good now for that). 

Even with these compromises its been exasperating at times. but i feel like i got out the other end with my patience intact and its thanks to doing tiny projects/finding ways to solve problems quickly/not sitting through videos only to discover they are obsolete or dont match the version/packages your using.

Got mad respect for those who go big tho :)

An experiment in making a lofi infinite backrooms, just added portals and entities.

There is no real game, you are just profoundly lost in the backrooms.

The entities are there merely to be observed.

Currently all entities are made from particles, there are no solid assets except the backrooms and furniture.

This could all change , i notice people enjoyed it when it was just backrooms with no entities (which i found very wholesome) so im tempted to honour that.

The entire thing is made by an idiot so bear that in mind, Its not a professional piece of software by any means. just an arty experiment by someone who likes odd experiences.

im just happy we have at least 2 platforms which are truly wonderful places with with strong communities pushing the limits of video gaming.

both steam and itch are unique, amazing and totally worth taking part in IMO. i want to experience both.

tbh i dont use any other ones, used to use GOG.. always liked that when i had a bad PC so old games were a blessing (+ cool community).

if you ever feel like your not meant to be here or on steam just look at the top charts for games on google play. ITS HORRIFIC lol

i have enjoyed playing and experiencing stories in games made on it. sometimes im just charmed how the dev has managed to do so much with so little. its a really great scene. i suspect the limited but vivid and fun system makes for some unbridled creativity.  and i dunno... i just feel good playing them ;)
