That would be great! Good luck :D

Wow, this game is really creative and fun, great job! The mechanic is cool and this game has so much potential! I would have loved some more levels, but amazing submission for only around 18 hours!

A very cute game, I liked it! The mechanic felt nice and the levels are all designed around it, good job! There were some bugs that were kind of frustrating, like sometimes I press the jump button but the character wouldn't jump, and sometimes the balls get stuck in the corners. Also, idk if the balls is the best idea for this game. There is a lot of randomness to it and sometimes the player dies immediately, and sometimes you just have to wait a while for the ball to hit their targets. Good submission though, I really like the character animations and the art for this game! The music and SFX are also all really good :D

Thank you so much for your advice, they are all noted! I like the idea of animating the character, it will bring much more liveliness to them :D I'm glad you enjoyed!

Oh wow, thank you for your tips, I really appreciate it! I was kind of afraid of making stuff on my own at first, but I realize that it could be super useful to get to familiarize myself with Unity physics :D  Thank you once again and best of luck for the jam!

I appreciate it a lot, thanks!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the mechanic :D

Thank you! Yeah even as the developer I had difficulties with the second level... that probably says something XD

(1 edit)

Cool! Thanks too :D Yeah playtesting was definitely an issue for my game too XD I just have a question with the repulsion and attraction. I really like how you did it, it feels very responsive when you launch the magnets! Did you use Gravitational fields for them or something else? For my game it feels a bit floaty and I followed a tutorial of Brackeys simulating gravitational pulls using Gm1m2 / r^2 and then for the repulsion just made that outcome negative.

I'll try to get past the level now :D Thanks for the info!

Update: I got to the end! After a bit more playing I got more used to the controls :D

This game is great! It's funny we almost have the same names and concepts :D. I really, really like  how you did the repulsion and attraction. It feels very smooth and crisp.  The controls were a bit hard for me and I couldn't really get past the first part but good job and good entry!

I liked the game! The levels complimented the mechanic nicely, so good job :D

Yes, thank you! In the video GMTK uploaded he mentioned what happens if you break this connection, and so I also wanted to include that as a part of the theme :) I'm glad you enjoyed the game, thank you for playing!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like the art, I spent the most time on that and UI design :D

Thank you for your feedback, it's really helpful for me! As of now that's the plan; working on this game after the jam ends and adding a lot more to it!

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you found the mechanic interesting :D Actually, I was planning on implementing magnetic walls, but I couldn't get it to work in the time frame so I cut it out. With more time after the jam I am planning on adding many more puzzles that compliment the mechanic! I appreciate your advice, thank you!

Thank you, I'm glad it was easy to pick up for you! Ya I learnt the topic of electrostatic fields, attraction and repulsion and Gravitational fields in physics recently, so this idea came to my mind :D Thank you too for the feedback of the click SFX, I can totally agree with you there!

Thank you so much! I focused most of my time on the art and finding suitable music so I'm glad you liked it! Yeah the mechanic could be pretty confusing at first, I think a tutorial level would help with that :D

Wow!!! This is one of my favourite games I played in this jam so far! I love the character and its animations (The squash when the character jumps adds so much to the feel)! The mechanic is amazing, the puzzles were challenging, yet intuitive and very fun! Great submission!

I loved it! The art is really great, the transition to the next level is satisfying, and the level design is great!

I really enjoyed this game! I love the art for it, the music, SFX, and the gameplay! I think this has  a lot of potential with a bit more time! One thing that would be nice is to make the movement from left to right a bit faster. Also, Ziggi teleported some of the times when hitting obstacles and it slowed me down. Amazing work!

The art is really nice and I found the mechanic to be a pretty interesting interpretation of the jam theme! I also liked the music, it was great!  A couple things to point out: The flip for the astronauts when moving left and right was tooo long. Make it almost instant. The death sound was kind of irritating to listen to every time I died. The movement felt off ( I think there was too much gravity and not enough friction). This made the platforming pretty challenging, even for level 1.

I liked the sound effects and over all polish of the game. Really impressive for only 48 hours! It was satisfying shooting the light and the walls and I liked how the enemies make noises and I think the purple ones glow so you know they are coming. The only thing I found during the later floors is that you are moving the light but then enemies come. You defeat them and a couple seconds later more enemies come and the cycle repeats a lot and could be a bit tiring and repetitive. Adding a bit more variety would be cool but to include a map, polish, upgrades, breakable walls, and all that stuff is amazing for the jam!

Thank you! Yeah I enjoyed making the art for this game and I also think the music worked great  too :D  Sorry for the confusion at first, I'll definitely make a tutorial level in the future!

Wow this is amazing! It's funny we both had very similar ideas with attraction and repulsion from protons and electrons, but your game and the mechanic feels so complete and whole. The movement is crisp and the attraction and repulsion feels right! Some levels were a bit difficult but it was great!

This game is amazing! The grapple mechanic was really satisfying and the level design compliments it well! The music and sound effects were also very fitting. Great job!

Thank you for the advice and compliments! The L/R indicators is a great idea design wise and could help with player readability! More levels hopefully in the future too :D

I appreciate the feedback! Yeah, differentiating the 2 protons and electrons will definitely add some more value to the mechanic of the game!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed playing :D Probably going to put out more levels sometime in the future!

Thank you for the comment :D Yeah for sure, with more time after the jam I could definitely focus on more levels with interesting puzzles!

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
