Is there a planned release order?   I poked around but can't see what order the routes will be released in.  I assume John is next?  But how long do we need to wait until we get Geoffrey? 🥺

Even an alert to say something happened and the project is abandoned would be nice :(

This is amazing.  I read the Ruben demo, then went immediately to Patreon so I could read more.  The last two days have been spent consuming each route.  Incredibly well done - I was really hesitant given the content warnings (particularly around rape/sexual assault) but its very well done.  I honestly feel for my MC and the characters around them.  This game has shot to the top of the in-progress games I am following.  The depth and character complexity you have is incredible.

You might be right.  But as someone who is a bit pragmatic - I really appreciate the variety you are offering :)

Its surprisingly rare to have a route like that - practical and pragmatic (but still romance).

Page 2 of where?  If its This My Soul, it was released in 2017.

I occasionally check the forum - but the author has gone AWOL and there is no updates on the kickstarter.  We have all tried to send good wishes to the author and hope they come back...but as the years go by, there is little hope.

To be honest, I have changed my review score of the game to 1 star.  Its in the top games list of itch.io, so I really don't like the idea of encouraging new players to get their hopes up.

Yeah, I pop in every now and again just as it keeps popping up as a game I might like on the main page.  :(

Holy heck this is a pretty game <3  I went in fully wanting Will, but damnit I ended up really, really falling for John.  Robin...nah, I'm good with John and Will :D  The art is absolutely gorgeous - seriously, I want to romance Marion.  I do wish we had been able to *see* Marion's skill, not just be told about it - or at least, she had had a bit more success in causing trouble for the guys.  I ended up not being impressed (bit like a child telling you they are awesome), that may be intent and part of content (Marion growing in her skills), but I did get left with a bit of second-hand embarrassment for her, lol.

Definitely a great start.  I like the fire that the MC has, makes for a nice change from a lot of MC's where they are polite no matter what :DI found her...belt?  A little distracting with how bright it is compared to the rest of her outfit (had to go to Lemmasoft to look at the full image to figure out what it even was).  And one small thing - you may already know - the children call the MC 'Miss Ari' even if you have a custom name.

Alaric is definitely my favourite so far <3

I initially thought the jostling was a bug.  I think it will be better when there is sound (as that will help immersion...at the moment, without sound its just odd).  I think as long as there is an option to disable it, its fine ...some players might find it difficult to focus.

As for a discord...I'd love that, at least to help encourage fan discussions and hype for the complete game! :)

Nice! :)  Have you guys considered opening up a forum (either on here or elsewhere)?

I am really intrigued that so many people are into Sinclair from the comments.  I assume the personality is mean to remind players of Austen's more rakish characters, but will eventually have hidden depths?  ...but right now it just leads me to go, "Nope, nope, nope!".  LOL

I am interested in the answer to this too!  Because while I do want to romance the person in that choice...the whole idea of that solution to the problem without true romance puts me off.

Ooh, I love historical/regency games!  I have to admit that I have only just started (still in the carriage) and I find the font very difficult to read.  I definitely would recommend font options and/or the ability to increase the font size if you really want to keep the fancy font.  I can read it...but it is difficult.

Edit: After playing it through I will say I can't wait to see the rest!  I'm impressed that the demo is so lengthy - you really get a sense for the quality of the work.  I feel quite badly for my MC - she is having a hard time of it.  And all of her options have some issues!

I've only managed one full playthrough - but it is a damn good game.  The amount of depth hidden away in that game is amazing.  I really need to commit to another couple of playthroughs (although how I am going to pick someone other than Laceaga, I have no idea :()

Yeah, me too!  I think its the main reason tbh - the soundtrack just made me want to run out and re-play Bloodlines :D

I think the big thing with this game is know what you are paying for/downloading.  I'd say to people trying to decide if they want to give it a go -

If you are looking for happy endings - this is not the game for you.

If you are looking for a romance game - this is not the game for you.

There is still a lot the game can offer - but if you have expectations of something else, then you WILL be disappointed. Personally, I thought the game was something it was not.  That is probably my fault for seeing the words "love interests" and thinking "twisted romance" still meant romance, and expecting there to be a happy-ish ending even if it was "bittersweet".

I'd have also suggested a massive warning around consent which is absent from the warnings section, but that's me.

...yeah.  The game is wonderful - awesome...but the endings are less than ideal.

From everything I have seen (on Steam and the Discord), all the endings are sad.  Someone said that they aren't bittersweet, they are just bitter and I kind of need to agree.  I haven't had any ending so far that has been satisfying.

So its now a year since there has been any updates.  I think we can officially consider this project dead :(

Not similar to this one, but here are some I like:

- Cinderella Phenomenon (on steam)

- Aloners and Wilder (on here)

- The Lady's Choice (on here) and Wayhaven Chronicles (on Steam; Choice of Games)

- Regency Love (on Apple Store and Google)

- EbonLight (on here)

- When Comes The Night (on here)

All of them are either complete or actively being updated.

Heads up - finally got the Steam Key option to appear on the downloads page.

As a backer, I am disappointed there hasn't been a response recently (I am also one of the ones that has posted on the Kick Starter asking for an update).  But I think it is a bit rude to call it a, "scam".

I think clear work has been put into it, and was put into it up until 2017 - there were the issues with the artists and sprites that caused some delays.  And clearly some personal issues from this post.  Things were clearly slowing down in 2017 and came to a halt in 2018.  ...I think the project would have benefited from some clarity about what was going on, certainly.  And definitely WILL be needed if Lee is going to continue.

Do I want an update?  Yes.  Do we need regular updates/check-ins?  Yes.  Am I disappointed with the delay?  Yes.  Do I think this was an elaborate scam?  No.

Hi again - I didn't request one, I thought one came automatically with the purchase?

I have the Itch.io download page, but there is no section (like on the images in the link you posted) to get a Steam key.  So, after the windows/OSX download links, it goes straight to "download and install instructions...".  I can send you an screenshot if that'd help?

Changeling community · Created a new topic Steam Key?

Hi -

Purchased the game the other day and am working my way through the routes - loving it so far!  However, I am not sure where I am meant to find the Steam key?  Can you clarify?
Thanks! :)
