You can access messages you receive from the character menus. E.g. if you receive a message from Saki, you'll get a button at the top of her page labeled "Messages".

There are repeatable sex scenes (and non-sex scenes) in sandbox (they're different from the ones you get in the actual story events).

Personal preference. Linear mode covers the full story and just cuts out bonus repeatable scenes (be it repeatable sex scenes or just small bits of dialogue) that are used to raise your stats with a character in sandbox mode. You can switch between both modes at any time from the settings menu, so if you're not sure, you can start out in sandbox so you don't miss out on anything and switch to linear if you're not liking that (you can always switch back to sandbox to check out any of those repeatable scenes).

That said, linear mode seems to be the most popular of the two among the people I've talked to on the Discord server.

I haven't announced a concrete release date yet, but expect it sometime around early January for subscribers and 2 weeks later for the public release.

Being able to pick between a harem ending or an individual girl is disappointing...? What?

There are some choices that do/will have major implications for character stories, but nothing that would majorly change the overall main story. There will also be multiple endings (harem and individual girls).

It's a known bug that will be fixed in 0.11. Also happens if you go back a line of dialogue. Thanks for reporting anyway!

Thank you! V0.11 should release sometime in January at the latest.

Because yes.

0.10 isn't out yet. Release date will be announced soon.

I presume you mean the upload feature in the saves menu? Can you describe the problem you were facing with it? It's supposed to generate a temporary code you can then use on another device.

Saves will remain on your device until you uninstall the game, so if you simply update using the new APK without uninstalling, your saves should still be available.

Thank you! I'm not looking to add any languages other than English in the official releases, unfortunately. As much as I would love to support as many languages as possible, as it currently stands this would only serve to slow down development significantly, even with outside help. Anyone is free to create a community translation though (Ren'Py should make this fairly easy to do, I've seen a few MTL ones around already)!

LiL was indeed one of my primary sources of inspiration. Glad to hear you're enjoying the game!

Thank you! All the girls will get plenty more content with future updates, no worries!

I usually drop public releases between 6PM and 8PM CE(S)T, depending on when I get off work etc.

Thank you! Always love hearing about people being able to connect with my writing!

Thank you!

Windows/Linux/Mac: Simply download the new version and extract anywhere. Your saves should transfer automatically.

Android: Download the new version and install. As long as you didn't delete the old version, your saves should transfer just fine.

There's one mom. :)

Hi! I presume you're playing on Android? Could you give me some more info about the device you're playing on? (specifically how much memory it has, as that's my immediate guess as to why that sequence specifically crashes)

Thank you!

I'm aware of the Kurumi library and train scenes being out of order, and that will be fixed in the next update. Are there any others you noticed that I messed up?

This dev who is definitely British thanks you for your kind words.

All the warnings on the game page didn't give it away? 🤭 Glad to hear you're enjoying the game!

The game is still in active development. We're only at the start of chapter 2, with a total of 3 chapters planned.

If you're on PC/Linux/Mac you should be able to just continue from a previous save (even if you deleted the game, saves are stored in a different folder). If you're on Android you can also just continue from a previous save unless you uninstalled the game, as that will take any saves files along with it.

If you're absolutely certain you've completed all the prerequisite events, could you send me your save file so I can take a look at it and figure out what's wrong? You can find it in "Lost in You/game/saves" (if you have Discord, joining the Discord server would make things easier but feel free to just send the file here if you want).

Something you could try is changing the game to linear mode (under "Gameplay" in the settings menu) and then skipping to the next time slot, that should automatically trigger whatever event is up next (you can change it back right after that).

I'm personally not the biggest fan of Python (largely because I generally dislike whitespace sensitive languages), but Ren'Py itself has been pretty nice to work with. It has its issues, which I sometimes have to work around, but all in all a great engine purpose-built for visual novels.

As for the horror tag... Unfortunately itch.io only allows up to 10 different tags, so I'm trying to optimise for tags that drive numbers (whilst obviously still being applicable to the game). If I recall correctly, I originally did have it, but it didn't pull the numbers the other tags did so swapped it out for a better performing one. I'd love to add it if this restriction wasn't a thing, but alas.

Hey! I'm aware of the incorrect order of events, and this will be addressed in the next update. Thank you for letting me know though!

I actually use an engine called Ren'Py, not Unity. 😉 It's specifically built to make visual novels like Lost in You.

Thank you! 😄

Glad you're enjoying the game!

No worries, it's a happy game, trust.

Should I take that as a compliment? 😆

God god no.

Some sound effects, but no voices.

Thank you! Repeatable events are the short generic events you can trigger in the sandbox mode (either through visiting a location when there are no story events available there at the moment, or through the phone for certain characters) that you can repeat to raise affection/lust with characters, but have no impact on the story itself and are not listed in the event tracker.

Later today. Should be out roughly by 8PM CEST. 🙂

There are reasons Kurumi's development is slower than others, which will start to be addressed soon (she has 2 events planned for 0.9, hint hint).

In regards to updating the game, depending on your platform:

Windows/Linux/Mac: Saves are stored outside the game folder, so deleting the game folder should still keep your saves. It's also possible to just overwrite files in the old folder with the updated ones.

Android: Installing the new apk (whilst still having the old version installed) should overwrite the old app and keep your saves.

0.7 contains the first chapter 2 events and has been public since March. 0.8 releases publicly next week on the 24th.
