I quickly checked on my computer, the answers seems to be working.
Could you send me your responses so I can check what's going wrong ?
You can dm me on twitter @azertinv or discord Azertinv # 7015
Only log I got about that in Player.log is https://pastebin.com/zgnFuwx6 which is chromium telling me he tried to open it in an already opened chrome session but I didn't see any opened tabs when alt-tabbing.
It's trying to be a creepy pacman but I didn't get into it enough to want to finish it sorry.
I never got creeped out because the SFX give out too much information to be surprised by what's on the screen.
One good idea is that black robe guy on the second level that stand just outside your field of vision.
Also maybe a "coin-collecting horror game" isn't a good premise or engaging.
Sadly couldn't play on linux, the game doesn't run in proton 4.10 or 5.0 https://streamable.com/3m7cx8
Since I don't have a windows computer I probably won't be able to test your game sorry :(
Played solo against the bot and got bullied so I tried online instead, really cool game, once you get used to the windup you can really start going hard on tech and movement.
Apart from the impressive netcode implementation a lot of care has also been put into each characters, they all feel different and viable, I didn't play long enough to have a real opinion on balance but it looked like it was ok.
The hitbox rect are really essential so I don't know what kind of art you want to put in but I think it's gonna be hard to make it feel good with only art when you can't see the hitbox.
I don't know how you programmed Homura's ult over the network but it's impressive.
Also maybe put the energy meter under the players because I never had the time to look up when playing.
GOOD GAME
Feels like a finished game, everything is polished, the art is really good, the controls and user interface is intuitive and most importantly, it's FUN.
Great game, good job.
I played on the linux build here are the bugs I encountered:
The health count down animation is too slow, 95% of my time was spent waiting for it.
The dragon design and art is really good. I finished the game but I think it was thanks to a bug making me immortal against the dragon.
Overall nice ideas and game loop but I felt like I was playing a clicker game after getting the legendary sword.
Bugs
>Avast
God dammit, do you have the exact thing he detected ?
I'm using godot-rust to make the bridge between the calculator implementation and the GUI and he loads the dll at runtime, Avast probably doesn't like that.
EDIT: probably godot, they are using a compression method commonly used by REALLY old virus https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/3665 which is stupid for released game but whatever, I'll see what I can do, thank you for the report.
This is the tutorial of a bigger game with a full computer, I didn't want player to get too lost so it's supposed to hold your hand a bit.
I do want to have different difficulties. One of them will be "1MA" where you don't get your answers checked and the only way to finish the game while be to solve the true riddle hidden inside one of the computer's program.
The difficulty is not where I want it to be at the moment, a lot of people are having trouble getting the hang of it.
I'm thinking about having a tutorial to explain the best way to handle the leaf but I fear it would impact the general mood.
Anyway, thank you for the feedback, I hope I'll be able to make it enjoyable to play next time.
Really fun action platformer, once I got used to the controls and the physics of the character I had fun just moving around using the right-click to go at light-speed and killing monsters.
SFXs give enough information about what's going on, maybe add some spatialisation to understand where it's coming from.
I kinda got overwhelmed when I got in the main hub, maybe don't show everything available the first time (I just saw that's it not supposed to all be unlocked so you can ignore this line).
I only tested the singleplayer. Also I didn't find a quit button when ingame so I had to Alt-F4.
Overall it's promising and already fun to dick around with, Good job.
Pretty nice 2D platformer, a bit too hard for me maybe, I only managed to get to the first boss once in 30 minutes.
I don't mind the speed of the game but sometimes I wouldn't have the time to react to certain obstacles like lasers or spikes when entering a room or when you are falling.
I didn't understand what the slot machine was the first couple of time, maybe add a slot machine sfx.
Overall pretty nice, reminded me of VVVVV.
Hi I'm looking for a composer to collaborate with on my game. Orchestra music is exactly what I want and I would like to discuss my project with you.
