Finally got time to play some demos. Absolutely love your game. This is what would Spore look like if it wasn't dumbed down. Amazing graphics. I love to play summoners, so swarmers were pretty nice to play with, poisons were cool too, does poison stack? Swarm flyes (maybe change them to aqua themed microguys?) stuck in the walls pretty often, and grabber made me stuck to the corner of cavern, had to unplug it and put it back on. Unlocked pincer guys and light bomber zooids. Looking forward to try out other fellows later. It was sad you loose any found elements except one. Do you consider let people save all found elements later and choose one to pick on the start, or letting keep more than one piece?
Nice, thanks for playing. I was considering at the back of my head to allow keeping adapted zooid selection through runs, we should maybe do this. That would make it less punishing to newer players as they don't know what they're missing out on.
Noted Swarmer minions becoming stuck - I'm glad you've considered minions as a viable playstyle here. It's something that we don't see often and we should cater to it.
Poison kind of stacks - damage increases max stack count and pierce multiplies "charge" count on poison. It's kind of complicated, but allows both damage and pierce stats differently affect poison. We should make it so that more stacks of poison dissipate more quickly, giving reason to keep it stacked up top. Maybe we should have a better way of displaying poison stack counts, but can't easily come up with anything.
Feels like a finished game, everything is polished, the art is really good, the controls and user interface is intuitive and most importantly, it's FUN.
Great game, good job.
I played on the linux build here are the bugs I encountered:
Noice, thanks a lot! I don't know how much you've played, but maybe you could give some comment on part (Zooid) variety and their cross-interaction? Did you feel, at any point, overwhelmed by options or lacking one?
I've tested Privacy button on Windows and it works. I see that it should log a warning if it fails to open. Would you have time to see if it does log anything after clicking privacy button? The log will be in ~/.config/unity3d/All Parts Connected/Sipho/Player.log Just click the button and look for "Failed to get data privacy page URL..."
Only log I got about that in Player.log is https://pastebin.com/zgnFuwx6 which is chromium telling me he tried to open it in an already opened chrome session but I didn't see any opened tabs when alt-tabbing.
This is fantastic! I think I played for like 45 minutes just getting lost in the game. Even though it's based on Spore's cell stage it already feels like it has enough depth to be distinct.
Only bug that I noticed was that I could push a boss up against a wall and it would render it ineffective as it had no back facing attacks I guess it's more of an exploit then a bug.
This is gorgeous and the cell phase in Spore is one of my favorite games by itself, let alone the rest of Spore. I played to the second level on a mac, and the framerate sadly became unplayable. I will have to try this on a more powerful computer, as it already seems to be a much better version of one of my favorite concepts. Extreme promise.
Hey, glad to hear that! What level was that? Game shows title of the level you enter at the middle of the screen or it could be found in game log
~/Library/Logs/All Parts Connected/Sipho/Player.log
... or you could describe what kind of environment you saw. Level order is random. Also, what are your Mac specs? Very curious what's the performance impact of recent changes. Thanks if you find time to report this!

I didn't play enough to have an opinion on that sorry.

Thank you! Looks like an engine/setup issue

Thanks! Have you felt any nuisances? Experienced any bugs?

I believe it was the venomous pit.
Yes, that's possibly it, thank you. What are you mac specs if you can tell?
