Ah cool! Thank you for the hint with L/R. Now exploring the world is quite easier! I now found two artefacts, one boss and discovered 80% of the map <3

I really enjoyed this game very much. I played it from start to the very end and enjoyed every stage of it!

I love the graphics and colors of this game. The level design and gameplay is clear and easy to understand but still challenging and motivating to retry even if you fail at one part. The simple story makes you feel to really go on an adventure instead of just rushing across various levels and even a challenging boss has been added to the end of the game. The game uses a lot of particle effects which are technically not that easy to add my opinion. Effects like the "perspective" effect really polishes up the game.

Overall the game is a really great game and I'd be happy if there'd be a sequel to this game.

If I'd have to name some improvement ideas it would mostly be (for me personally), that I think some kind of "checkpoint" would be great in some stages. The last stage was quite challenging which was a little bit frustrating because I didn't know that it was the last stage at that point. For a last stage it was actually great to have a last challenge xD. Also I'd love to see more points where I could use Ernesto.

But overall a really, really great game which I'd really recommend to everyone to play it!

Thank you for this great submission!

I played your game now for over two hours and at least discovered around 40% of the map and one of the artefacts. I think everything in your game fits great together.

Even though at first the game seems to be simple, it contains a lot of difficult techniques for SNES development so you really did a great work on putting all of them together.

Mostly I'm missing some kind of hints about the items you can buy before buying those. For example, I bought a laser and tried to shoot at different things but except for rocks breaking nothing happened. (Afterwards maybe because a "hit animation" for enemies is missing). I bought the maximum speed engine but still can't move blocks because my engine isn't strong enough. That's not too bad about gameplay as you can always just keep on collecting and buying other stuff, but it would have helped me to know what to buy first.

The only thing that bothered me personally a little bit was that I always had to travel back to the station when my energy level went low and that became more and more time consuming for larger distances. I did manage to buy a solar panel but didn't know early enough that I'd need a different hull to add it additionally. On the other side I know that I'm just not the patient guy so I guess it's just my personal opinion.

I'm not sure if I make it till the end until the game jam ends, but I'll try. I don't know if the theme "perspective" is something that is being revealed at the end of the game or if I just didn't see it. Maybe you can give me a hint about this?

Overall I think your submission is a really great game and you put in a lot of love and techniques into this game. The music and atmosphere of the game fits together and I'll keep on playing until I found all artefacts :)

Thank you for your great submission!

Thank you for your submission! I tried the game several times but always failed at one jump and didn't make it in time, yet. But I'll keep trying :)

If you like to keep improving the game I guess the collision detection would make a lot of differences if you work on it.

I hope you keep on going with SNES development  :)

Thank you very much! ^o^

Thank you for the feedback! I guess I developed too much on an emulator where fonts are easier to read. Maybe I'll release a patch about that after the game jam voting has ended.

I thought about a "logic" way to identify why some areas allow wrapping around and others doesn't. But I didn't come up with an idea yet.

The SFX for lasers etc are really missing. I guess I was missing some time to work on those. It's a bit different than other sounds because those would need to be repeated while you're getting hurt. But also something for a repolished version :)

To be honest, the safe TV area is something new to me ^^""" I only managed to play it on a modern TV yet and not on an old one. But shouldn't the UI also be off screen then?

Thank you :)

It depends on the browser I'm using. The game runs very smoothly with Firefox, but when I start it with Chromium (Linux) the audio playback is very noisy.  But apart from that, the game works very well for me. :)

I also was already looking for this a few weeks ago. Dr.Ludos actually uses a SNES9x port for HTML5 play-in-browser: https://drludos.itch.io/keeping-snes-alive

It seems to be this library in the background: https://github.com/humbertodias/emscripten-js-snes-games

If you look at his well documented index.html (right click -> this frame -> view page source) file, you can easily see how he did it (and leave a credit to Dr.Ludos if you use it as thanks :D).

However, I tried a lot of different JavaScript SNES emulators and most of them had strong performance issues when playing CPU intense SNES ROMs. (At least on my PC). So I'd still suggest to download the SNES ROM to everyone who really want's to play the SNES games.
