Thank you very much for playing and your feedback. I agree that some issues need to be fixed and I could fix some of them before uploading (such as the duck sound not playing loud or the collision issues mentioned) but on the last day I worked on the game until 4 in the morning and I was so done :D but it was a very nice experience for the following game jams!

Also if you remember, can you tell me the exact part where you fell through? Thank you!

I would say the rubber duck part is the most challenging. My friends who tried the game were also stuck there and needed multiple tries to pass. Since I played the game a thousand times I intuitively pass it without any issues but upon the feedback I did not want to modify it because then I felt like the game/level would be too easy :D

The duck just puts a force on you upwards, thus; I think for the part you were stuck you need to land on the right side of the duck.

The scream is a famous scream called the "Wilhelm Scream" . It is used in many movies as an easter egg :D glad you liked it.

Thank you very much for playing. I get very excited for every comment I get!

Thank you very much for playing!

Thank you very much!!!

I love it to! I got really lucky with the sprite of this one :D

I really like the art and gameplay, feels polished. Wish it was a bit longer! Also the text on your page is very similar to the background so it was a bit hard to read, I had to select with my mouse to read :D

Best game I have played so far. Very creative concept and very nice art. I love every idea, social media draining your energy, pillow makes you rest but you lose time, coffee gives you energy. I didn't quite get the scrambled thing tho. Regardless, just perfect

At the beginning I was like why does the map matter if we can just wait next to the goal, then I got two cubes and everything changed.

Hey, in the beginning I found it quite fun but I soon realised that all the aliens where at the end going in the same road; thus, I was just aiming there and shooting when they were passing by.  I think you can make more escape roads for them so that I actually have to search for them. Except that I really like the logic and the aesthetics!!!

Hey! It took me a couple of minutes to figure out too but you have to balance the table with the arrow keys. Watch out there is a beaver that comes to destabilise you which surprised me quite a lot :D my best score was 19 good luck

Thank you very much, super glad you enjoyed!

Ok this was very simple yet so good. Felt very polished and I really liked the theme and idea. The character design is very funny. Nothing to say, that's perfect! I can see it getting addictive if you could compare your best score with other people. Of course you can add power ups, more enemies etc but the amount of time to develop is limited :D

My first game after 3 weeks of learning game dev! Have fun and of course, any feedback (positive or negative) is welcome! https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2024/rate/2748270

Very fun little game. I played it because it is similar to my theme and finished it :D wasn't expecting the boss in the end

Really like the art style and I already died to the first boss multiple times, those cats! :D

I really like the fit with the theme. The farmer that takes the corps and burry it is a nice detail!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share this out of excitement! I started UE5 3 weeks ago with no prior game dev experience (except a Flappy Bird clone that I made with Unity 3 years ago)

Although the game jam was 10 days, I spent 7 of them learning basic UE5 features for the game. The last 3 days I have spent my whole days on the game and it is done. I spent 3 hours packaging the game since I always had issues and it was lots of trials and errors but the satisfaction I got was so good. I wish I had filmed my reaction when the game was finally built after 3 hours of troubleshooting at 3 am.

If you want to check the game (which is far from perfect and super short) https://bloodcatters.itch.io/01-bacteria

If you want to see my progress that I document  https://www.instagram.com/bloodcatters_unreal_progress/

Cant wait to play other games and see how the theme was interpreted by other people.

This experience is quite fun but super exhausting, I think I will take a break for a while because for the last 10 days, most of my life was UE5 :D

Hello,

It is my first game jam and I checked the game jam page but couldn't find any information. Is it fine to add a character that swears or how graphic can the content be (nudity, blood)? Are we free to put any content given that we warn people beforehand?

I can see my character swearing and on the map somewhere there might be a sex toy. Is that allowed in this specific case? :D

Thank you in advance for your answer :D nice jams to everyone

I started learning UE5 last month and I am participating in this first game jam so that it forces me to learn more and finish a game. So far, I have learned about 3D games, I want this game jam to be an opportunity to learn 2D development as much as possible so that I have an overall idea of both in UE5 :D  Hope I can make something playable. I am sure you will do very fine with your 10 years of experience! glhf

Out of curiosity which engine are you using for VR?
