i like the idea, would be a nice puzzle game on mobile too if you get the controls right.

Developer

I was thinking that too once i get the PC version done to do mobile, since the input is just up down left right it would work great for swipe controls

yep, keep up the good work :-D

Very fun game, I love how you implemented the game jam theme. The level start animations look very clean, and gradually adding more blocks makes thinking about movement quite interesting.

Interesting design! Fun vibe and excellent music. I can imagine that background moving like we're on a raft in space. Got my brain spinning as I got bigger while still having to go fast :D Like a puzzler while also being realtime action, feels difficult to make work but I feel this is close!

I love the intro animation of the board!! I would try 5x the speed to make it really pop and amplify a focus on speed.

Good luck further, I heard you're making a steam page! <3

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, yeah I have tons of ideas for levels and themed levels going forward.

The intro animation is supposed to be MUCH faster, for some reason I just couldnt get it to run faster in web build but in the editor its easily adjustable as its just using a delay in a coroutine. I couldnt figure out why webGL wasnt changing the speed though. It really bugged me how slow the load in time was but I ran out of time trying to figure it out.

I loved this game :)

Polished and Finished Game :)

I managed to get to level 6, haha.

I loved how it has a puzzle element; I liked it when it had bigger cubes that were challenging to move around.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing, I am planning on continuing on with it after the jam.

Great game! It really felt like a complete game rather than a jam game. Well done. I liked gaining back lost energy over each next level. Game over at level 10. How many are there?

Developer

Level 10 is the last right now in the Jam. I will be making a ton more after the jam and different themes as well as things like blocks that move on occasion to change the existing level up and many more shapes for the player to play us.

Great game! A lot of fun and makes you keep wanting to play.  Great job

Thanks, I am really glad you enjoyed it.

Fun game! I like how for the theme of last stand, you took the wave defense aspect of it but turned into a puzzle game instead. It’s ingenious! The game loop felt satisfying and fun to go through. I like the pacing of progression with more cubes being added in, as it tends to happen, right when getting used to how the current set of cubes moves and turns around the grid.

Playing this admittedly gave me some bit of nostalgia for this one block puzzle game I used to play a ton. I remember how fun it was to go through that and this pretty much hit those same spots for me.

Great game and well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun making this one and want to try completing it after the jam in to a full game.

Well done game, would like some other shapes to play but other than that it's nicely done!

Developer(+1)

There will be many more in the full game I plan from this now. Many many more

Great submission! Simple, dynamic and repeatable concept that is so addictive. :-)

Really polished and unique game for the jam, plenty of levels and nice way of tweaking the play throughout the game. Control scheme was nicely simple but with the movement mechanic with multiple blocks there was enough challenge to want to keep playing. Worth building on after the jam.

Developer

Thanks and glad you enjoyed it. I definitely plan on taking this forward after the jam to complete. Been taking all the feedback and notes from it.

Finished the entire game! Really polished piece of work, including the cartoon-shaders on the blocks!

Gameplay was simple, but got hectic real quick as the player's block gets increasingly difficult to pilot. Seems like a good base already to add other mechanics like different enemy types and dynamic levels.

Really impressive entry! Well done!

Cute minimal art style! It really pops! The mechanics to me are very novel and different level designs provide different choices, especially as the player object grows in number of blocks.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it

Very good game I couldn't stop playing!

Developer

Glad to hear it I was hoping it would be fun like that, cant wait to add more to it. Thanks for playing.

This was one of the most fun and polished games I've played in the jam so far, really fantastic! I knew within the first 10 seconds of playing what I was supposed to do. The control scheme and mechanics felt crisp, and all the visuals did a great job indicating the gameplay. I started really having fun at the levels where you controlled two blocks. I made it to level 10 but now I got to play again and try to finish clearing it.

Amazing game!

Developer

Thanks, I was really worried about a tutorial and explaining the mechanics of the game so its to nice to hear from people that it worked out well and there was no confusion. After the jam I will do some tweaking on the early level design to help with that more yet.

Fantastic game.  This feels retro, fresh and new all at the same time.  I could see myself losing a lot of time to this.

Excellent submission, well done.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words and trying my game.

This was a really cool game, I beat lv 10. It reminded me of another game I played many years ago that was basically this concept (not a bad thing, was more nostalgia for me ;) ) - The music, sounds, game flow, cube animation and progression felt really nice and super clean. Awesome job :D

Guess I left my review in the other comment. So uh... good job!

Very nice and polished game ! Found the game very easy with the triple cube as I could just turn around the center and never let anything pass. Maybe you can add a cube to block turning around the middle ;)

Overall very good game, good job :)

Developer

Yeah I didnt find out about that flaw until after it was submitted it never came up on playtesting before that, will be really easy to prevent with some simple level modifications after the jam. Thanks for playing it. Will be many more shapes to come in the next update.

Very nicely polished game.  I especially liked the loading and level transitions!  Full game loop and ever increasing difficult just by adding another block to the player.

Developer

Thanks for trying it out
