Playtested the final two games, didn't find any bugs with the paddleball game.

In the car game, it is possible to wedge the car between buildings and as a result lose input. I was no longer able to control the car at all it remained stuck.

@bughuntingquest.bsky.social: "The final minigame in The People by Brigadeiro is a dark comedy about running over pedestrians! We were able to get the car stuck repeatedly in the same position, where it stopped responding to input. Love a good repeatable bug! nightfoxy25-animations.itch.io/the-people" — Bluesky

It definitely is funny to watch! If it's meant to be there that is fine, after all it's just a fun physics room.

We tried Titans next and made another post.
We found it hard to hit just the titans with our attacks and would keep accidentally losing from friendly fire.

Hey! We only had time to playtest one of the minigames today- we will try and play them all eventually.

In Trampolines the player character/camera object has collision but no physics which causes some very funky interactions. I think if possible it would be better for this object to have no collision and just be a focal point for the camera. Watching it bug out is a lot of fun though. We took a video as well!

It's always difficult to get everything done in time for a game jam! I think maybe a sound effect to show you are sticking to them but can't move would help make it clearer.

I took a video of the bug I found https://bsky.app/profile/bughuntingquest.bsky.social/post/3lgeyb7tny22e and posted it to our bluesky - after the box jumps back in bounds, I am clicking on it but it isn't interactive. Eventually I was able to get it to respond but it happened each time.

Super cute concept and I love the amount of animation on the main character. I am not sure if the dark objects are meant to function the way they do where you can stick to them but not move, it felt a bit clunky but I wasn't sure if it was intended. I did find a bug in the second room with the crate, if I carried the crate to the southern wall it would jump outside of the wall and then back inside but become non-interactable in the process, soft locking the game. I had fun hunting for bugs and this is a cool project so great work.

Very cute idea- did encounter a bug right away though where the WASD controls didn't activate immediately and I had died by the time they started working (whoops), also the game over screen did not seem to have a way to reset the game which would have been nice, but of course for a game jam project these things are to be expected. Good work!

Really impressed by how much you did for this one! In my search for bugs I managed to find one pretty big one- I jumped onto the table in the kitchen next to the glass and the controls stopped responding. Didn't quite lock the game though, I was able to get caught and game-over like normal. When checking to see if I could repeat the bug I was able to- picking up the leftmost piece of pizza on that table made my controls stop responding. Very interesting bug- great jam game. Great work.

Super neat concept and quite polished for a game jam- lots of visual and auditory feedback which I love. The movement controls are very tricky to get the hang of, I wasn't able to survive longer than a couple rounds of mutations, but it was consistent I think maybe slowing the onset of enemies could be good to let people get a feel for things. Great work!

Super cute graphics and music- love the concept. The controls are super slidey and weird I couldn't get used to them at all- also sometimes if you had enough momentum you would keep moving even if you stopped holding 'w' down, possibly a bug. But for a 3 hour project this is excellent work and impressive overall.

Nice! I was able to give it a go. I liked that the movement was physics based. I think it would be fun if you could move over the objects that had already fallen without dying- but obviously that is an expanding of the original concept. Great work.

very neat idea, unfortunately I think it has scaled wrong in my browser. My mouse reveals platforms when hovering a few cm under them, and I am missing part of the level it seems like. I really like your art and concept though.

Rarely do jam games as ambitious as this one pan out, so props to you for making it happen! I enjoyed the story and humour, I felt like the tone of the writing was a little confusing with the AI being very comedic and the main character very serious by comparison, but that is a small detail. The gameplay arc was nice, I am glad you made the choice to have health regenerate over time. It controlled fairly well too. Overall great work.

I'm afraid when I clicked play the game loaded into a tiny little square and I wasn't able to start- might be an issue with Edge specifically or because I can't use fullscreen options.

Super neat arcade style game - I really liked the premise and the controls and goal were easy to grasp. I eventually lost on level 7 almost immediately as the level began, not sure if there is any randomness to them so maybe some more tuning is necessary for balance but other than that I also liked the visuals and music choice. Great work.

It was a little confusing but very well put together. I liked the art and the twist was cool. Good job.

Very funny, great concept. Witty dialogue is always a plus. I got stuck on the third package due to a pretty interesting bug where each time I respawned the soldiers would slightly alter their marching pattern until it was actually impossible to sneak past them. Which was exciting for me because I don't usually find bugs that are cool or interesting. Wonderful work overall.

I had a lot of fun solving this one- most of the time when I figured out the solution it felt very clever and like a nice puzzle. I think the level with the invisible platforms felt a bit too trial and error, once I had worked out they were there I think it should have been clearer where to jump maybe. The final level also I didn't get until I got the hint I think maybe it needed some foreshadowing but it still make me smile and I really liked the ending. Great work!

Very fun idea, a lot faster paced than I expected when I first saw hiding in crates. It feels like maybe if the enemies wandered off or lost track of you it would be a bit easier to use the hiding mechanic to your advantage especially because of how fast you suffocate. Overall a really neat project, with a little tuning and balancing this makes for a great arcade game.

Great start. I like the lighting and music choices. Game is quite punishing with no checkpoints, so I wasn't able to get very far. I liked how you included the cheat codes, it's interesting that once you get them you don't need to find them on subsequent runs you already know them.

Ah that makes sense,

Unfortunately I thought the reset button was more of a 'retry the level' so I didn't think of this, and once I had placed one wrong I wasn't able to actually reset the whole level without restarting. Might be good to have a separate button for resetting the whole level.

Cool idea, very nice response to the theme. I think I agree that the death feels a bit sudden and maybe too punishing for some of the later parts without a checkpoint. Or perhaps resetting the clone device after a clone dies so you only have to backtrack a certain amount to make a new clone.

I am not sure if this was intentional or a bug but in the second level the stairs don't actually reset the jump of the character, meaning you can't jump until you fall all the way down. Because they are the same colour it feels more like a bug than a feature- not that it would be possible to jump back up but it is confusing in the moment.

I really liked it overall, great job.

Very fun, once I got a handle on using the drift to turn around I was able to navigate with some accuracy but the controls were definitely a challenge. You definitely nailed the chaos factor, but the game is very hard, once the drone showed up I really struggled. I think maybe making it so you could ram into them to get rid of them for a time or something like that would help give the player a chance. But I loved the concept and had some real fun with this one.

Love the visual feedback, a bit confusing to control at first but I figured it out. Nicely done.

Very cool concept, at first I thought the gun was pushing me the wrong way, because when it has no ammo you only get a visual out the back end so it looks like it should push you the other direction. I worked it out though and had some fun platforming around. I couldn't manage to get around the section with the big drop though, the timing was a bit too challenging for me. Neat game.

Really cool project, could use a bit for visual feedback for attacking and taking damage, things like that. I could see books and paper on the ground but couldn't navigate around the boxes so I had to assume they were just background elements and not secrets. Good work, keep it up!

Never seen anything quite like it! Very challenging, but I did manage to improve on my second and third attempt and get the best result. At first I was mostly confused by the controls as I wouldn't exactly call it 'Jumping' so I didn't really know what I was doing. Awesome project though, very sweet and wholesome.

Unfortunately the game doesn't scale down for browser, love the art though.

Love the art and the premise is very cute. Shame about the bug but that's game jams, and this is a great start! Really cool that there are three characters, would be neat if they had different attacks, if you were going to develop it further. Great work.

Love your character design, very funny. Seems like the game just ends after you clear the first wave (Or rather no more enemies spawn) but I assume this is inspired by vampire survivors or brotato? Lots of promise, great work overall.

Love the idea, a bit buggy though. I was able to figure out how to click on the BOING but only while I was jumping on it. In the second level with the BOING I was only able to copy and paste it once, after which I wasn't allowed to paste anymore- but hitting reset just reset the character position. I also couldn't have copies the BOING without going down to the bottom and therefore needing two to win. Great concept though, love the animation on your little protagonist.

Really cool idea, and I liked the art and music. I found it a bit difficult to tell whether I was stuck or not, UI to show where you could move to during an action would be great. Quite a novel concept though and definitely has lots of potential.

Fantastic little game, very funny. I did manage to get stuck for a bit on top of the fridge by grappling up there, but for the most part I couldn't find any bugs. Great stuff.

Great first game! Reminded me of a warioware minigame, I liked the music and it felt nice and responsive to play.

Unfortunately the game doesn't scale properly in browsers- neat idea though.

Great response to the challenge! Actually quite fun and difficult in a good way.

In my bug hunting I was able to find a bug in the level select menu where if you keep pressing 'V' it will select off of the available levels and you won't be able to go back- obviously you can just click with the mouse but I figured I would let you know.

I really like this idea, I think it's a little difficult to tell what size it wants but I thought it was a very novel approach to the challenge.

Very funny, wasn't expecting so much lore! I do feel like you could have used the A and D buttons in the menu as well to really sell the spirit of the Jam. Good work overall.

Hey. very cool concept. Definitely a game genre that could use some love.

It didn't seem like letting anyone in was ever the right call, regardless of the ID. Which is certainly one kind of message for the game to have lol. Also, it was possible to simply mash the 'Refuse' button until the day ended, and the knocking sfx would all play at once at the end which was pretty funny.

Would be awesome to see this taken further, I think it's a really cool idea. Great start!

Lovely art and great start to the project. I would suggest looking into how the UI is scaling because in my browser window (not fullscreened) the 'place tower' button takes up about a quarter of the game's screenspace making it difficult to see what's going on. Good luck going forward!

Unfortunately I didn't seem to be able to place towers ;;
