After 4 month of development, I am happy to release the first public beta of Midnight Railway.

Midnight Railway is a horror game about you, an employee of Le 112, the most popular railway company of your country. Your goal is simple : you are the inspector of your train, and you need to maintain it, free of fraudsters and disrespectful people, and also free of monsters.

Inspect the tickets of the passengers, give fines to fraudsters, and hide when monsters arise.

This game is in beta and early in its developement, so expect bugs and issues. Also expect changes to the gameplay in future updates.

Go get the game herehttps://cacahuete-dev.itch.io/midnight-railway

Update: it was not taken down

Thanks for taking the time to play my game ! In the future updates I will try to make the goal of the game more clear to avoid being too lost like with a tutorial or something. :)

thanks for the review, these ideas are great and I may add these in the next update !

Thanks !

Here is my game (it is really close to 20 ratings) : https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1680289

I'll surely do your game !

Thanks a lot !

Play my game if you want (almost 20 ratings) : https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1680289

I'll really appreciate if you play it !

Thanks !

Great game ! I love that neon bloomy style, and the music is neat ! Great job !

Pretty good game ! Maybe a bit too much of chromatic aberation that makes the levels hard to see. Overall, great job !

Thanks !

Thanks ! I agree with you, we need more than the levers in the game, and I think that mechanic is very basic too. That's why there is more level planned, as I wanted to expand the game further. And yes, the enemies aren't as aggressive as I planned, even if this game is the only one that I made where the pathfinding works correctly xD. This game certainly needs more work. I already thought of the "hide" mechanic, but I ran out of time very fast in this game jam (especially for personal reasons). I have planned an update at the end of the jam who fixes bugs and adds what I wanted to add in the first place. Thanks for your useful comment anyway !

The spookiest, really ? Thanks a lot !

I had someone having a similar problem too, that's weird... Thanks anyway for taking the time to try playing it !

Thanks !

Thanks !

I just rated your game !

Check (and don't forget to rate) mine : The Running Fan

The game is good but the controls seems very hard to get too, and I think the texture are a little bit too stretched in the UI. Overall, great game !

Good game ! I love the player's face !

Ur game is very cool : good music and good graphics ! Great job !

Beautiful game with a good music ! Maybe it is a little slow sometimes, but overall, great job !

Great game but I think it needs to be more obvious when we run out of light and restart thats it's because of the light. Anyway, good game !

Great and unique game !

Great game with a good artstyle !

Thanks !

Very... Dynamique jeu xD

Non le jeu est trop bien, la musique colle trop bien avec le délire du jeu, il est dynamique, tout est trop bien !

Bravo !

Thanks !

Really ? It crashed when playing or when the game launches ?

Thanks ! The large levels were intentional (especially the highschool one) to give the player large areas to run from objects

Good game !
