Hi all,

Just a quick update to say as part of the remake and the new DLC, Winter's Fair has been removed. I think it's still showing up on the store page, but it will be removed in the coming days.

We are doing this for a couple of reasons:
1. We wanted to prioritize our remake time to build the new DLC, Return To Otherwere, so it hasn't been remade
2. DLC is now going to be made available as part of the core app, not as separate games.

If there is interest, I may upload a DRM free version of this at some point.

Awesome! Thanks, Godc. You've inspired a change in my build pipeline lol.

That's very kind, haha. But yeah, it felt wrong to charge for some reason.

Hey Godc,

We've uploaded and tested a fix. Could you let me know if the issue still occurs for you?

Best regards,

Curtis

Hey Godc,
Thanks so much for reporting this. Working on  a fix now.

Hi Mac players,

Some of you may have difficulty launching Newfound Courage and Winter's Fair.

This is due to Apple's security and the fact that our apps lack Code Signing.

Therefore, the best way to play Newfound Courage through itch.io is to download the itch.io app launcher (https://itch.io/app)  and play it through there.

An alternate would be to disable various security settings, as some Mac gamers probably already know, but it's much safer to use the itch.io launcher.

I will look into Code Signing for our applications and will update this thread when I find out if it's feasible.

Hi, sorry I'm late! If possible, please include my project in the bundle: https://newfoundcourage.itch.io/newfound-courage

From the swooping magpies of Silverpine to the red landscapes of Otherwhere, Newfound Courage is heavily inspired by our home, Australia. That’s why 100% of the revenue earned by the game in January will be donated to the ongoing bush fire recovery effort.

If you'd like to donate to support the recovery yourself, here are some great organisations you should consider:

WIRES: https://wires.org.au/donate/emergency-fund
RFS: https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/
The Red Cross: https://fundraise.redcross.org.au/drr

Loved this! great work Brady and team!

Hi there, I just wanted to say this message made my day. Thank you so much, and awesome video! :)

**SPOILERS PROBABLY**

Lorebook

I know a lot of people want hints when it comes to completing the Lorebook. As the creator, it'd feel wrong for me to just tell you exactly where they are, so here are some clues for each book. While some books are available at various times throughout the game, they are ALL available at the end. Keep in mind, that one will only be available when all the others are completed.

1. Check the trees outside Nora's cottage
2. Do Siena a favour
3. Help reconcile Nora and Kay
4. Find a way onto the roof of the Vault
5. There is a room to the left of the Vault's entrance. What is that thing in the middle?
6. Deliver a letter, maybe!
7. Beat Marge at a game of Two-up
8. Solve the puzzle outside the Vault, make sure you keep track of how many flowers are around those statues!
9. Empty the returns box one last time
10. Find the writer of the Lorebook in her office (unlocks when all other parts are found)

Agreed! Please do this!

Edit: I just tried to add this to a game of mine, and it appears that the "+" character is not supported in tags.  I've added LGBTQIA for now.

Newfound Courage will run on screen sizes smaller than the minimum supported resolution of 1920x1080 so long as the screen resolution is at least 1280x720 and the aspect ratio is either 16:9 or 16:10.

The reason we do not officially support smaller resolutions is because at those resolutions, the game may not run as smoothly or be "Pixel Perfect". Also, the graphics could "jitter" but you'd be very unlikely to have any game breaking issues.
