I played through a bit, I def did not get to the true beach, but...


I got through the backwards underhalls, and never was able to equip the smooth fists... So IDK...

I did notice that the mirror enemies are all "non furries, I mean, because they are completely different enemies from the normal ones.

Also, you can't pick up the super shotgun in the backwards underhalls.

So, that sucks!

I don't really want to play through myhouse again at this moment, so...

I will just tell you... stuff for sure broke! Lol.

You seem to have a lot of passion for this game. Maybe you should join the Discord Server? (Unless you are underage, then don't.)

This question of yours was basically asked by me as well on that Server, and Korp said that everything in the game files is free for anyone to use! (Non commercially) So I think you are fine posting the Pole Dog and using XDeath Dog as your PFP.


     So, I talked about how good the DM maps were in my last post. But I forgot to mention the music! Oh my gods the music is so godsdamn good! The OST for Furdm01, Furdm03, and Furdm05 are my favorites with Furdm05 being my favorite of the favorites.

     I liked that midi so much that I played on that map for an hour with just bots to keep me company, plus something else. :]

 

     I mean just look at how many bodies are in this hallway alone. Oh, and I thought it would be funny to have DOOM Guy and Daisy fight each other. Forgot to mention that. This fact will lead to the theory later...

     Anyways, there was something I placed on this map that was killing us by the dozens. And making all the Daisy's faint as well.

     It liked getting frags here the most, because it had a clear shot and the bots liked infighting on this fence for some reason... Also IDK why that Red Daisy "died" like that and stayed in that state even though she should have went into the normal "death" pose, might be a Sourceport thing. (Or the fact that I have like 12 other mods on right now, too. Probably that one.)

  Alt view of the fence. Okay, I know for SURE that that Green Daisy looks like that because she just got blasted by Blue's BFG Ball and I am using the "freeze" command to take these pictures. (I realize now that is the spawn effect and that Daisy just got Telefragged.)

     Anyways, you might have remembered I placed something else on the map with us... well, here she is...

      The Spidermomma herself. But she is a special one, because I gave her a damage increasing item, a (Player) speed boost (I don't think this one had any effect.) and a BasicArmor that was coded to have no Save Percent and Damage Factor to "Normal" Damage at zero. This effectively made her an invincible 1 shot menace that roamed the Chaingun/Chainsaw room. I have 500 frags but I can assure you, she had more than twice that amount!

     See, she can't die. This is me using a debug weapon on her that shoots like a billion hitscan projectiles that do billions of damage. "Freeze" is still in effect, but as you can see, she is still in her "Missile" state If she died, she would be in the first frame of her "Death" state, which in this Beta is just her instantly on the floor. (It looks like she is wearing a golden dress. :])

     Anyways, onto my theory. So, I noticed that DOOM Guy dies very bloodily to all these BFG Balls and shotguns and rockets, but Daisy just gets knocked out. Does this mean that Daisy is stronger than DOOM Guy? In fact, all of the FurDoom cast must be stronger (durability wise) than their Vanilla counterparts. Cybie doesn't turn to Gibs when he explodes, Spidermomma doesn't blow up at ALL, and XDeath is replaced with the closest equivalent to "Ragdoll Physics" you can get in DOOM.

     There are two theories for this, that I have made.

1.     It may have to do with the fact that all the new characters are, quote "adorably thick". End quote. Now, I know it is DOOM Heresy to say that the original cast are not thick in their own right! I mean, DOOM Guy in TNT intermission screens and the fact that Cybie is memed all the time for having a quote "nice ass" end quote. But you would have to be tripping to not realize that these FurDoom characters are thick times 100 compared to the originals! So, maybe their "thick" bodies give them immunity to taking lethal wounds, and instead all of their "thickness" absorbs lethal damage that would have ruptured their organs or Gib them! That is why XDeath is just them getting sent flying! It makes so much sense now!

2.     It may have to do with the fact that all the new characters are, quote "anthropomorphic furries". End quote. This seems to be the more likely reason. I think this because it just makes the most sense. I have seen some very "thick" people in real life suffer horrible injuries. So it makes more sense that the reason to them being "deathless" has to do with their being rather than their state. I guess "anthropomorphic furries" just have an inherent resistance to dying. I mean, why not? There are plenty of fantasy races that can do all kinds of things. Skeletons from Kenshi for instance can stand in the middle of a death ray and not give a single freak at all. Also, it seems that instead of health kits, there are "stamina kits". So maybe instead of taking "health" damage, they take "stamina" damage. That is why when anyone "dies", it looks like they take a nice nap. It makes so much sense now!

     Ditto. (Also, there SHOULD be A LOT more bodies here, I just kept quitting the game over and over and reloading this save because I was testing things for my wad and I never had it set up to work for Death Match before.)

     Another funny Daisy. And yeah, I played for another hour and a half. Your midi is SERIOUSLY that good! It is peak! Also seeing Daisy fly from BFG Balls and Rockets are just the best "deaths" I have seen in this game. I am serious that them flying is better than the Icon of Sin's death sequence. I am dead freaking serious.

     Final question for the Modder: Are you going to upload the OST to Youtube or Spotify or Bandcamp or something? I looked up FurDoom OST and found nothing. Thanks in advance for however you answer this. Have a nice one! And to any who read what I had to say, thank you as well! (I already know you will release it soon, I saw the Discord. I am keeping this here for posterity.)

You can use SLADE to edit myhouse.pk3.

You need to edit the MAPINFO file.

And replace the first part of it with this:

Essentially, just comment out the lines PlayerClasses = "ActionPlayer" and AddEventHandlers = "ChainsawRemover". This will let you start the two .pk3's together. I am not sure if this breaks anything though. Don't get too excited, it probably WILL break things!

I just noticed.

On Spidermomma's new "See" sprites, the lighter pattern on her butt makes a upside down trapezoid shape, but in her new "Missile" sprites it makes more of a triangular one (and it has less surface area).

Does that mean she is clenching her cheeks when she attacks? Because if so that is really funny. Like that attack makes her have to butt clench, it is so much work. Lel, If that is the case, that is another good attention to detail! I love it when you do things like that! It gives the characters character.

     Okay, so I played this because it kept getting recommended to me like over 100 times on Youtube. And I will be honest, at first I thought this was a coomer game, because the Video that was recommending me the game had a very inappropriate thumbnail. But, I was like, "Well, I like DOOM anyway, if it is a coomer game, then at least it will be a good laugh, like with that HDoom game..."

    I made a Itch.io account just to say what I am about to say now...

    I was not ready for how AWESOME this was going to be! This is such a wholesome way to play DOOM! Screw that stupid Isabelle companion mod, THIS IS WHERE IT IS AT! Playing DOOM without having to kill a single soul.  I noticed that Cybie smiles in his "death" animation. :] I like the beeps and boops that the enemies make. It reminds me of old Commodore 64 games where they had limited Sound Fidelity. So nostalgic.. but not really for me, because I was born in the early 2000s. Lel. (I really do like the beeps/boops. That HDoom mod was so annoying with its Voice Lines.)

     Anyways, you must be wondering, "Why is this post called POST TITLE?". Well, it is because you somehow made shooting a juicy rocket down towards a group of (cat) imps even better than it was in the vanilla game! I already loved blowing up enemies into sweet giblets, but I never once considered how amazing it would be if instead of gibbing, all your enemies were blown sky high! It is so fun to get high damage roll berserk punches and seeing them fly from that as well! Your implementation of XDeath is the MAGNUM OPUS of XDeath! You deserve a freaking Nobel Peace Prize for this!

    And of course, I would slap myself in the face if I forgot to mention one of my other favorite things about this PK3. The Ketchup Barrels! Oh my gods. Whoever it was whose idea it was to give it only 5 HP is a GENIUS! That change alone is really good game design, but that's not all you and your friends did! You made the best Ketchup stain graphics known to man, and also made it cover your screen. I love what you did with the Explosive Barrels! You turned a worthless thing that I never really paid attention to in the base game into something to rival the ecstasy from eating a Popeye's Chicken Sandwich! Compliments to the Chef for that one, because you all are COOKING!

    What were the other praises I was going to give? I like the attention to detail in the enemies sprites. Like with HypnoDog, while she is focusing on Aiming, you can see her tongue is sticking out. I like that! It gives her some character! The same thing with HypnoFox, how he closes his eye while aiming. Really good stuff. I will be honest though, I thought HypnoFox was a woman the whole time I was playing, because they have a rather large behind, especially when he goes down. (It almost feels like his butt gets larger when he "dies") And also I only caught the different eye colours of the male and female cat imps. I thought that was the only variance between them, not their entire gender! I guess it is hard to see the fine details while you are DOOMing it up.

    Also, those maps you made. Chef's kiss those are. They are really fun to DM in. (I did it with bots. :[) The design reminds me sort of the lobby from RAMP. I can't remember which one I am thinking of at the top of my head. And the Test Map was really cool too! I had lots of fun spawning in tons of SpiderMommas and seeing her fight herself. She reminds me of the Highlander Aludran Reptiloid from Serious Sam with how her arms raise up when she attacks! Imagine if her projectiles had soft homing! She would be so strong. But that would probably be broken as hell. I saw someone saying that her sight lines are not as scary as the vanilla SpiderMomma, but I was playing Ancient Aliens Map15 and I had to duck for cover or else I would have freaking died! She is my favorite by the way. She is so freaking cute! I always loved foxes. And spiders too. I guess that means the Shotgunner with the dumpy is my second favorite. And my third would probably be your Revenant concept I saw on Twitter. She looks cute, as well! Or wait, I guess whatever your Arachnotron replacement is would be my second favorite...

    Also, one last thing, I am sorry if this was a giant wall of text (it is), but I just had so much praise to give! Okay, last thing is that I really, REALLY like those decoration replacements. The beating heart of lust is my personal favorite replacement, but the crow skull plant is a close second! Your sprite work is LEGENDARY! Every single sprite is a master work, in my eyes! The code for the bound animals is super complex. I will send my thanks to Rage Spark for cleaning up that code. Thanks, Rage Spark!

    I wish you luck in the further development of your PK3. It looks absolutely incredible right now. Once you have the DOOM 1 enemies fleshed out, and DOOM 2 enemies as well, I could see myself playing this in Megawads all the time! Thank you for making this free by the way! I don't have an income, and that means I would never have been able to play otherwise. If I ever get a job, I will consider donating to you! Good luck, and stay safe!

    Also, before I forget! Is there going to be a Megawad made with these enemies in mind? I would like to see what kind of Mapsets could be made with the changes this PK3 does to the enemy roster! Okay, thanks for reading! Bye!

     P.s., next update, can you please with a cherry on top replace the "F1" graphics so that it shows who helped you make this PK3? I want to really know who I should be idolizing for what they did for the PK3. Thanks in advance.

It isn't much, but it is something.

I will explain the hanging people and the dog stuck to the pole.

In the original game, all the hanging people were corpses or at least very close to dying. The Modder changed them to be alive because this mod isn't about death and ruin like the original DOOM. (I assume that is why.) I mean, none of the enemies "die" when you defeat them, and the code for the bodies on the ground (the ones that look like Daisy) refers to them as sleeping. A corpse wouldn't go with the vibe.

I'm sorry, but the HypnoDog tied up also used to be a zombified marine that was either dead or eerily spasming on the pole. And in both cases, they are impaled by the pole.
