Happy birthday to me.

I wonder what, on an adult game, would make someone so uncomfortable to merit a change to the game. On a superficial level, some people are into things others aren't, so you have to get over things you don't like. On a deeper level, someone people have had experiences others haven't, which affect whether and how they relate to a character's experiences, influencing you to have strong reactions to things you don't understand or think you understand but are wrong about. If its not major enough to alter the overall story, I can't imagine it being necessary to change at all. You've already had to make changes that the players didn't necessarily want so that you could market your product and make your bottom line. That's business, and no disrespect to you for making sure you can continue to make your games. But to feel as though you had to change your game for the fans is significant, not necessarily in a good way. But that's just, like, my opinion man. At the end of the day, I think your games are fantastic and you're doing a great job.
You were born from a test tube in an artificial womb? You have no father or mother or both, and no siblings? You never went to school? You never had any friends, no acquaintances, no interactions with others? You never had a job requiring you to interact with people? You have never left your house and observed any other human in their habitat? You have never watched the news, watched youtube videos, you've never written in comments on visual novel pages? You never read any books, newspapers, magazine articles? You never listened to music? I don't know you, but I doubt you live in profound and absolute isolation from human contact. Even if you did you have millennia of human biological electronics and energetic waveforms in constant play within you that did not originate at the point of your birth. Despite your presumptions, you have never been on your own, and I doubt you're different. You're one more human living one more human experience. You interact with thoughts, feelings, ideas, and concepts beyond yourself, are affected by them, and in conjunction with, acceptance of, and resistance to those things, you grow. You're not alone, and don't grow on your own.
I don't know how you think things happen "on their own". We change and grow because of the influences in our lives, whether they come from circumstances or other individuals. We get into a comfortable routine and do not change. A rudimentary understanding of psychology shows us this. It is only when we become uncomfortable, or someone enters our lives and changes our routine, that we are forced to renegotiate our habits. Growing through outside influences by interacting with others who exhibit the kind of personality traits that we value does not conflict with organic change, rather its necessary for it. We all like what we like, but I think your aversion is due to misguided notions about the relationship we have with our own psychological progression. No hate, all love. I hope you find what you're looking for.
Sophie gives the same excuse for not studying and wants 250$ twice. This must be a bug.
She wants 50$ for books, then 150$ for supplies for science and her biology book, then 250$ for biology book because it suddenly increased in price. But the next time I talk to her she wants 250$ for her biology book again.
Always read the ReadMe file when available, but if you take all the files from the new downloaded folder and move them to the old games folder and overwrite where necessary, it will leave your old saves alone. Since the new game has no already created save files, there is nothing to overwrite your old save files with, if that makes sense. To be safe, you can copy the whole old folder so that if you mess it up you still have the original to try again with.
When something like that happened to me on a game, i clicked the back button at the bottom of the game screen a few times and it resolved. You can try and start a new game first and then from the new game, load your old save. That has helped me in the past, but i can't guarantee it's your issue. Hoping for the best.
I am on windows:
After I unzip the new downloaded file, I hold Ctrl and double click both the old version's folder and the new version's folder. Then in the new version's folder, I hold Ctrl and A to select all and then drag all those files within the updated file's folder into the previous version's folder. It will empty the new version folder and move everything to the old version folder. A window will pop up asking whether I want to replace or skip files that are duplicates, choose to replace (all) files when requested. That way all the updated files overwrite the old ones but leave your saves/screenshots/everything you altered safe.
I hope that helps any.
