It really just boils down to "talk to her a lot and give reasonably nice answers".

She doesn't just teach you the headpat.

You keep complaining about this game, and yet apparently, you can't stop playing it.
Again:
If you don't like the content, and don't like the gameplay, play something else.
It's a FEMdom game. It's right there in the tags:
Tags | Erotic, Femdom, Monster Girls, Ren'Py, Text based |
It sometimes gets a bit switchy, and not everything in it is femdom, but femdom is clearly the focus, and if you're not into that? This game is not for you.
The thing is, as I (and, apparently, Kotone) understand it, those are not her memories.
She isn't the old Feng, she's a new person. It's more than just a lack of memories, Kotone says as much. Old Feng is dead, and new Feng isn't her.
Rather than "Feng resurrected", it would be more appropriate to say that Feng jr. is the daughter of Feng sr. and Kotone - sired through Old Feng's flesh and blood and Kotone's magic.
That being said, the secrecy around that is still an open wound, and Feng should really be told why Kotone used her magic to animate that corpse, why she calls her a "protector" but never lets her actually protect anything, and why she's clearly both caring and distant.
To Kotone, Feng is essentially a shared child from a dead loved one: Both a dear reminder and a painful memory. And Feng really deserves to know that.
"There's a Voltin girl in the arcade who keeps telling you to go away who might have some kind of quest attached to her"
She's also the night shift entry guard for the capital. If you've met her during her work (enter the capital at night) and talked to her, you get some more dialogue with her… but not that much,
"…however, you will never lose your turn from the status effect if you're completely entranced, with the exception of some monster's hypnotic attacks."
It only seems as bad because the most obvious effect - the count down starting at 5 - is still the same.
Other than that, the effect is completely reversed, raising your trance resistance rather than lowering it, and actually completely negating most Trance effects - you still get the count down, but most Trance effects just won't cause you to lose turns any more even when you hit 0.
You still get a bunch of fetishes, but eh.
