No, I wasn't following the directions.  Entirely my own fault, I didn't even realize the arrow glyphs were the directions to get through the maze. I'm going to blame attempting the game before I had my morning coffee.

I tried it properly now, and succeeded in getting all three things.  Thanks for helping, I was clearly being dense.

I tried your game here on the itch.io page.  I found it frustrating that there are rooms on the grid that, when I entered, would immediately collapse, killing me under the rubble.  It isn't that I mind environmental hazards, but there is nothing at all (that I could see or hear, at least) that indicated to me that a room might be unsafe.  It feels "not fair," in a rogue-like/NetHack sense.

I do love the graphics.  I'll check back on the game soon.

Hello!  I ran the Linux executable, and unfortunately the game loaded only part-way before crashing.  This is the error message:

Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "flyre.py", line 5, in <module>

File "engine/app.py", line 57, in run

File "engine/state_machine.py", line 274, in state

  File "engine/state_machine.py", line 92, in on_resume

pygame.error: Unrecognized audio format

The game looks great, I hope to be able to try it soon.

Wait, the QR codes are real?  I tried one and my phone didn't recognize it as a valid URL.

Works beautifully on a New 3DS.  I'm having a ball.  Thank you.

I loaded this onto a Nintendo 3DS and played through the entire thing.  I love your character design, and the first time I entered the "underworld" was a great surprise.  I'll look forward to the complete game coming out.

My first party was wiped out by a single snake on Level 1 or 2.  I laughed.  I would have burned through so many AA batteries playing this on an original Game Boy.

I ran into this same bug when playing the web version, although for me, it was when I found a holy symbol in a chest.

I'm liking this a lot.  I appreciate the "puzzle a day" aspect of it, and it's very playful.

Looks fun! Any chance you might post a Linux build? I'm willing to pay a few dollars.
