How does the game fit the theme?
We interpreted the theme as "expectation meets unforeseen outcome", which is a problem regulations and subsidies often encounter: an obvious and straightforward fix, leading to unwanted outcomes, which leads to more fixes to amend the previous fix, and so on and so on...
We decided to turn that into our game loop, and made a game about regulations, subsidies, and a company that trys to maximize its profit. The game is constantly manufacturing more rules, thinking "this will do it, nothing can go wrong now", while the players constantly finding new and creative ways to exploit those very same rules.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Quirky little idea with really cool art. Didn't quite understand how the difficulty worked or how to optimise. Cool stuff!
Great art and concept, really enjoyed tinkering with it. I didn't really understand exactly how the different labels affected the outcome, the difference between yellow money bags and red money bags and so on. I could have used a little more explanation just to get going. Still liked it a lot though!
Very nice art and interesting concept, reminds me of Papers Please! I think the game could do with some sort of … meta pressure? Some other element outside of just the bureaucracy of adhering to the rules. Also, it would be nice if the label printer stayed fully on the screen so it’s quicker to use.
Love the art! Really impressed with the quality of the visuals. Great work!
This is very very cool! Great job and amazing graphic design! Reminded me of Cosmic Wheel and Papers Please - also nice adaption of the theme - there is nothing that can go wrong, right?
Some nitpicks:
Such a lovely art style paired with a fun and interesting concept. I really liked the increased regulations as the game went on. It was fun trying to find space for all the stickers, plus all the assets were so well designed. The receipt printer was a little finnicky at times, but overall, super fun!
I hope the algorithm doesn't regulate this game because it is awesome! I especially loved the bar stool girl sticker option on the end level! Very awesome and classy!
I love the art style! Its so simple yet so nice. Game itself is super relaxing
The graphics of the game are simple and pretty, I loved playing this game
Beautiful aesthetics and a cool chill game 😎
It touches the topic of how absurd food labeling can be. Reminded me of Papers, Please as well!
The art is truly beautiful and coherent. The gameplay took me some time to understand.
When placing the stickers, it most of the time just doesn't work and return the sticker back to the printer. I assume it's because the stickers snap to a grid, but still, it is something that I think should be mentioned.
Overall, I like the atmosphere and the message behind it. Good job!
the art looks so good!! really polished and truly impressive for 2 people
I really like the visuals and clean look of the game. I couldn't get past the beer(?) but the rest of the game was quite fun! Great job with the game !
The feel of the game is very good and very polished. Everything works well. The actual mechanics make it a bit hard to know how to get enought profit.
Amazing job! Very polished, niceley fitting together and interesting idea ! I didn't quite get how exactly to get enough profit from the bag of chips ^^
Really impressed with how much it feels like a finished product tho <3
