I've been using your assets in my current project, love the overall look! https://cjmars.itch.io/lunite

I laid down a lot of the foundation, but it lacks a full game loop, there is no sound, and it is thirsty for some juice!  I didn't start as early as I'd hoped to, and am about 2 weeks into it.  I like where it's going though, and I have plans to really flesh out the content and game play.  If it looks interesting, keep an eye on it because I plan to keep developing.

I like this character!  I just purchased and used it in Apple Thief, one of my previous game jam games (that I still update from time to time).

Thanks!  Could it also just be the 'head bob' as part of the run animation?

Wow, it seems like a lot of depth here!  Other than the noisy UI (I was able to manage it but it wasn't easy or intuitive) and lengthy tutorial (simplifying the UI will probably shorten the tutorial) I think there's a fun sim at the heart of this!  The overall concept and the general art direction are a good foundation.

Thank you for trying it out!  I want to add something that requires apple throwing, since as it is you could play without ever doing so.   I'll look at the credits screen - I assume it was the font that was the biggest problem? Or maybe the background image of the jam theme didn't scale?

Question about 'jittery' - was it a performance issue or a character controller issue?  I don't currently clean up the spiders that are off screen, so maybe that's an easy way to make gains if it is performance...

Thank you, I'll have to get someone to come over so I can try out your fighting game.  It looks fantastic!

Thank you :) I played your demo and really enjoyed it.  I like how each day at the office opens the game up a little more.  The coworker chat expands the game beyond the office and gives the mystery more juice, while the card game gives it more 'game' (for lack of a better word).  I'm looking forward to the post-jam version!

I thought it'd be cool to experience some 'before and after' gameplay, so feel free to share your game and I'll check out the current version as well as the improved version.  In this spirit, here is a list of my planned updates to a game recently created for Mix Jam:  https://cjmars.itch.io/apple-thief/devlog/769662/upcoming-improvements

I hope so, that was my plan!  It seems in the spirit of the jam, as long as you outline your improvements.

This is a fun game, really dig the music!

I just submitted.  this is only my 2nd game jam ever, even though I've been solo-devving forever.  Since most of my projects sit at the 80% complete phase, I decided to participate in game jams to help me break that habit.

I found an online tool that pixelates which includes a few parameters to customize the output.  I plan to revisit the game during the Improve My Game Jam.  Thanks for the suggestion!  Here's a link to the tool:  https://pixel.jingshing.com/

Yes, I could play now.  Good job on the atmosphere and lighting.  Movement feels nice.  I definitely felt nervous when I saw the spider!  If you continue to work on this I might add a few environment details to reinforce you're on a submarine, and maybe a few landmark objects for navigation.  Good job!

Thank you!  Both of those are things I would like to revisit, maybe the next time I take a break from my current project :)

I might be stuck on the title screen, but they aren't working for me...

I like the overall concept and the theme shows through, my main critique would be the ball physics maybe needs more gravity.  It rarely reached my paddle!

Thank you, I'll have to spend more time tuning that!

I liked this game, the look and gameplay go well together.  I plan to play this again!

I like this one.  The concept, aesthetic, and play loop are solid, but maybe some fine tuning on the levels/difficulty scale!

fun game!  I do enjoy monster-breeding type games and feel just isn't enough

I launched the game and it looks good and atmospheric, but I couldn't figure out the controls so I couldn't explore.

wow, impressive turn-around time!  I think for it to be a better match the level of detail also has to be brought down and maybe the color palette adjusted?  I'm not much of an artist so I'm not quite sure, lol.  I appreciate the update!

Thank you, I just used this in my 1st game jam!     https://cjmars.itch.io/apple-thief

I used this asset for the main character in my 1st game jam, and it didn't take long before I purchased your bundle!  Now the game uses mostly your work.

this is not a submission, this is a redirect to another game jam.

I think you uploaded a project export... I didn't see an executable.

My card does not work on itch.io for some reason.  Please enable paypal op[tion!

Yes, I'm familiar but I'm actually wanting the opposite :)  I like Watabou's renderer.

I love the rendering, it would be amazing to be able to use your generator to load and render our own map json!
