Damn, this is trippy.

The zine has returned once more!

If it’s any consolation, the sources are all on Jani’s Github account.

Cool.

Cool game.

BTW, what’s the music used?

Retro support!!!

Also, TIL they made a new version of SDL.

It freezes up at the main gallery.

Linux, Wine

Yay, innovation!

I couldn’t find the 14th game, and accidentally softlocked myself in a freefall trying to look for it.

Edit: Nevermind, I miscounted the cartriges on my first playthrough, and thought there was a second hidden cart.

I haven’t played this game myself, but this essay makes me think of the way certain older games like Dragon Quest II, Super Hydlide, Zelda II and Rogue feel more immersive to me than “immersive” games that go out of their way to placate the player.

Welcome back!

Finally, an unpretentious take on videogame violence!

Well done!

Well, I finished Genesis beforehand and finished several levels from Missions. IIRC I also had Golden Toree switched on while playing Jumbled Jam 2. I finished the levels the first time without getting the stars. I also found the CD in the first level before unlocking MacBat.

I’m also running this via Wine on Endeavour OS, if that helps.

I can’t leave the “You unlocked MacBat” screen. I’m soft-locked from Jumbled Jam 2 as a result.

I noticed a part of the intro movie was cut. Was there a reason?

Cool.

It’s happening!

It ended too soon.

I always come back to this zine. So many nuggets of wisdom.

When’s Issue 2 coming out?

Really cool take on videogame death.

Oh yeah!

Cool. I wonder if there's any secrets.

I miss X for speeding up text, though.

Poor Nunu.

Hooray, an update!

I really like the music.

This feels like it was made in a bygone era.

This game got me addicted to minesweeper!

Thanks, it means a lot to me.

Amazing!

It usually happens with the higher levels.

* Certain area transitions bug out with the arms equipped.

* The extended arms can "grab" conveyor belts and take you with them.

Schrodinger's bug report:

A lot of weird bugs are caused by the arm upgrade. If you're having trouble with esoteric collision glitches, try turning it off.

Amazing game. Well worth the wait.

Some other bugs I've noticed so far that haven't been fixed yet ( sorry ):

* I can't enter the UFO. As soon as the area loads, I just get teleported back to the previous area.

* After activating the conveyor belts, they move the player even when they're not on it.

I encountered a bug.

Entering the unlocked apartment next to the player's apartment spawns the player way above the room, and breaks the inventory menu ( restarting the game outside of the room fixes it though ).

Cool. How does it work?

Amazing!

One of my favourite YN fangames so far.

Oh cool, a sequel!

Cool. Feels like a proper thecatamites game, too.

Edit: Replaying the original and then this, I feel like I have a slightly better understanding of that this game was supposed to be about, too.

Remastered? Linux version?!

All right!
