Fair warning - there's another game on here that's blatantly using the same premise and mechanics. Hope you're in contact with them, and that they're not ripping you off.

This is magnificent work. The bones of a proper idle game are there, certainly - but what really impresses me is all the little QoL lessons that so many other idle games should learn.
Milestone reached or quest unlocked? No worries - it pops an unobtrusive notification, and the auto-farming continues uninterrupted. Worried about choosing gear, overlevelling a summon, or overfarming a certain material? It's all good - everything applies, all the time. Summon skills apply as permanent unlocks, equipment bonuses are permanent, and excess materials still count toward Ascension. Want to respec to try something different? No cost - just redistribute the points on the fly. All actions are useful, and advance progress - there's little-to-no wasted time or dross to deal with.
Things like this, things that cater to a player's agency and convenience, really show a deep respect for a player's time and fun factor. I've already wishlisted it on Steam, and I await the full release with baited breath. <3
Playing through the newest release, and ran into an error. "If you're reading this, you either cheated Sami C5 on when it's not made yet, or Nunu has made a Boo Boo, please report it." It's during what I think is one of the new 0.38 permutations, on Saturday Early Morning.
I'm not sure if it's related, but on that particular path in the scene guide for Carla's Breakfast in Bed, Carla is incorrectly coded as Corruption 5 instead of Pregnant - her icon is shown with green Corruption 5, and red Pregnant, despite the scene (including the renders) showing otherwise.
Screenshots available on request, but I didn't want to put too many spoilers for new content. ^.^'
Edit to add: after that bit, the scene seems to progress normally, so it may have just been a hiccup? Thought I should make note, though, just in case, since there's an actual error code of sorts.
Tested it myself, but the voices can be turned off as soon as the Commander shows up on screen at the start of the game, before naming. It's just the unnamed prologue bit with the spaceship background that can't be deactivated by a toggle (nor the NPCs, such as the Saboteur that finds the Commander shaking off the cryosleep). In other words - turning off the Commander works great, even before he's named; turning off the unnamed NPCs and the untitled announcer at the start does not (presumably because there's no toggle coded for them).
That being said... one more toggle for "other characters" might be an easy way to set it up, if people just want the named characters to be voiced - just attach anything that's not coded for one of the toggled voices to that last category (including the prologue bit).
In all honesty, from what little I know of Ren'Py coding... going back through to tag all of those would be a living nightmare - and anyone that's going to go as far as wanting to mute that much of the voice acting is probably simply going to use the voice slider to mute the lot, like I did. My original post was just to bring up a potential bug, but I'm all sorted - thank you for looking into it, and thank you for such an auspicious start to a promising game! We're eagerly awaiting more (though, as stated earlier, real life comes first - it's worth the wait). <3
Muting the voice acting doesn't seem to work. Tried both doing so during the scene, and muting them from the main menu before starting a new game. Tried both options (I assume Muted = white/selected, like the other options, but checked just in case). The only way to shut down the AI voices is to turn the voice slider down entirely.
The bats on floor two don't apparently count for completing the base-level bat farming quest? I started it by jumping to floor two, where the bats are the first enemies you encounter on that floor... but after beating three of them, it wouldn't complete. Even after jumping to floor two and moving up the stairs to one to fight those bats, it still wouldn't complete. Only grinding all the way through to the bat area from floor one would do the trick. Either something's wrong with the counter, or there needs to be a note somewhere that the bats must be fought without ever leaving floor one in order to complete the quest.
Late to the party, apologies, but - you can trade junk to Ash at the Scrapyard after scavenging. Trade enough (probably scrap electronics, among other things, not sure of exact values), and he eventually opens a refurbished items shop. The alarm clock can be purchased there - then, just use it from inventory.
I'm having an absolute blast with this game, but I did find an odd visual bug. I'm running a Lustspell Witch playthrough, with an entire dungeon full of naked futanari. (Don't judge - I love my nudist hybrids, and they love their queen.)
However, each time I interact with one of the naked characters in the character inspection... their balls get bigger. It's cumulative and seemingly limitless. After several interactions, their balls are hanging below the floor in a grotesque, stretched parody of a tanuki's pouch.
It doesn't affect gameplay in the slightest, and reloading the game corrects it instantly; furthermore, it doesn't seem to occur with clothed characters. 100% reproducible - screenshots on request.
For a different perspective:
Just picked up this game yesterday. There's not a whole lot here, but these bones already have some prime meat on them, so to speak. What options there are, are already a massively enjoyable time - I've already started two different playthroughs and gone until I had a self-sustaining dungeon. Just the "coming soon" unlocks are enough to have me waiting on more with baited breath.
@keepherdev, you're doing a magnificent job at not only making a technically impressive game - what's more important is that it's a lot of fun. <3 Awaiting more with patient delight and baited breath!
Branches are a bit hard to see, but they're everywhere on the ground in the forested area just north of the ruined village where you start. Look for bundles of sticks.
Stone can be found ALL over the beach where you respawn - little rocks are strewn on the sand. (Oddly enough, the rocks found in other areas don't seem to be lootable - just these, that I've seen.)
Perfectly alright - 1.3.0.4 worked brilliantly, and I just finished binging the entirety of current content in one sitting - the story was simply that gripping, the characters that endearing and well-written. Your experience with fantasy literature shines like a noonday sun. Thank you for this gift, and I await future updates with baited breath!
I imagined it was probably something odd, considering I posted that question about twenty minutes after downloading and starting that game for the first time ever. ^.^' Thank you for such a prompt response and bugfix! Do I just need to download the 1.3.0.3 quickfix, or should I go ahead and grab 1.3.0.4 in its entirety? Never mind - noticed the upload dates on both. I'll just go ahead and grab 1.3.0.4. Again, thank you!
ETA: worked like a charm - I'm starting with the sweeping scene.
When attempting to get Haily to corruption 3, one of the clue tasks reads, "At Noon, investigate with Alex and go outside." The problem is.... I can't seem to trigger it.
I've expanded the entirety of the "Forest with Alex" and "Forest with Alex 2" trees on Saturday at Noon, including finding Alex's moonstone and seeing both versions of naked Alex up a tree... but there's nothing involving Haily, and there aren't any other selectable events involving Alex at that time. Am I missing something?
Ignore this entire post, folks. Found the issue - there's an overlap in the shower room, where the "Grab a Shower" event with Sami is hiding the "Alex meets Haily" event on the map screen. Selecting "Let's go" during the "Alex meets Haily" event does the trick.
