Nice game, with some more levels, more towers, and some balancing it looks like a complete product.  Like others have said a preview of where the path will go when modifying the terrain would be nice as its hard to predict.  I feel like the clear to place cost should scale with what type of object you are removing.  The rocket tower seems a bit overpowered, place a few down where the enemies spawn and you win.

Here are my impressions after beating the enemy.

  • Unit control is confusing, for example you click on the building you want them to work at instead of the location of the action you want them to do like other RTS.
    • clicking on alchemy building instead of resource patch
    • click on the first building to speed up construction of other building instead of the building being constructed
  • The building menu needs descriptions of what they do.  I just built everything to see what they do but they are not obvious.
  • When clicking on buildings they sometimes show the wrong menu.  both the alcheminer and the soul well show the menu for spawning cats.
  • The camera constraints on the left side make it so units can hide behind the left menu

Thanks for the feedback.  I added a popup message that will at least say what kind of exception crashed the game. Also ill add better logging in a future update.

Thanks for the feedback again.  I played through the whole game and fixed every bug I encountered so its strange that it's crashing before the 5 minute auto save mark.  I added a quick update to display the type of exception when the game crashes.  I'll also look into adding a log file to show exactly where and how the crash occurred.

Thanks for the feedback, I was definitely going for a Anno/Factorio crossover with this game.  as for your points.

  • the complexity of the production lines will scale with your progress through the game.  More production lines, simple and complex, will be added.  I was a bit limited for this demo day because of features that haven't been added yet.
  • Having more people will lead to higher tier houses which unlocks more stuff.  It will take a bit more time to add.
  • I'm planning on adding biomes with the map generation in the future and certain crops will have to be planted in the biomes they grow best in.
  • That's a typo, I'll fix it
  • Definitely
  • A better UI with more information is on the todo list
  • A convince feature ill add
  • The range is limited based on the length of the road, you must not have built a large enough city to find it.
  • Ill fix this bug
