Very fun idea! I like the neon style, and the music fits it perfectly. The puzzles were tricky too. Overall, I had a good time!

Love it! If you could check out and rate our game as well we'd really appreciate it <3 We made a prop hunt game from scratch, and we only need two more ratings to get to the 20. We're super close!

What an amazing game! We made a 3D game ourselves, a spooky prop hunt, and we're only 2 ratings away from getting the 20 needed. I'd love you to try it out and tell us what you thought! We're super close to the end of the jam, but every little help goes a long way <3

Fantastic game! The music was amazing, and so were the graphics. That rock texture was really good! I also liked the spookiness of it all, and the fact that your flashlight only points in one direction adds a lot to the suspense. I don't think I have any criticism to make, really. Awesome submission!

Thanks! And yours looks so good! I'll check it out as soon as I can

This was such an original idea! One of the best ones I've seen so far. I loved the little gameplay, and I thought the game was very well done. Congrats on the submission! Our 3D prop hunt game is very close to reaching 20 ratings, and I'd greatly appreciate it if you could check it out <3

Amazing submission! I really enjoyed the gameplay, and the idea was wonderfully executed. A friendly light that helps you out while getting lost in the dungeons? That's one awesome concept for a game. The music was also really good! And I loved the varied enemies. Great job!

As a fan of puzzle games myself, I loved this one a lot. The puzzles were fun and intriguing, the rooms were beautifully designed, and the vibe, even though maybe it lacked some sort of background music, made up for a mysterious and fantastic experience. The texturing and modeling were also great, and I like that you went through with an ambitious little idea like this one. Really good job to everyone who worked on it, and congrats on making such an amazing game in such a short time! Hope to see more of you in the future.

Hi! Thanks for the chance to share our games. We made a sneaky prop hunt game and we're only 5 ratings away from getting to the 20. It'd mean a lot if you could check it out! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1676987

Fun game! I loved that you went for a 3D look, and the achromaticity makes it shine (quite literally). The levels were tricky, the enemies were challenging, and I enjoyed getting lost in the maze.

Very fun idea! I liked the music choice and the varied enemies. Good game!

An amazing submission! The pixel art was phenomenal, and the sound effects really complemented it well. The idea was also really fun. I loved it! There's not much more to be said about it.

Really beautiful art and vibe! The scribbly lines and shadows really captured a unique atmosphere. The movement was a bit slow to me, but other than that it was a very solid game. I loved the multiple rooms and spaces, and all the interactivity was really well executed.

What a fantastic little game! I loved it oh so much.  The graphics were adorable, the audio was the best I've heard from any game thus far, and the exploration was the perfect duration so it was intriguing but not frustrating. I also feel like, even though it doesn't have that much game material, that also adds to the overall aesthetic, and it was a good call to not overcomplicate it. It's more an immersive experience than a game, and that's what I loved the most about it.  Overall, I think you did a lovely job, and I'm really happy to have played it <3

Good job! I like the aesthetic and the spooky sound effects, and the ghosts were really fun to see lurking around.

I was not expecting that! Amazing idea and execution! As others mentioned, the game is really chaotic, but I think that's what I love the most about it. It's certainly a unique twist to minesweeper as a whole. Great job!

Nice submission for your first jam ever! The game is short and sweet, but the sound effects and music make it that tiny bit more fun. Good job!

Thank you!!

Thank you so much! The main idea for the game was to make it less tense and slightly more comedic, but we couldn't implement all the ideas we had in time. That's probably why we didn't quite nail the ambiance as you mention. Still, I'm very happy with how it turned out, and I'm glad you liked it as well!

Thanks! We'll check out your game :)

Thanks!!

Thank you! <3

Ahaha thanks for the lovely comment!

Such a good game! The character graphics were fantastic, and I loved the story you managed to tell in the short time you had. The music was also very good, and it complemented the intense gameplay very well. Overall, an amazing submission!

Love how you interpreted the theme! The graphics are really nice and I like the fun of the whole idea. Good job!

Thank you so much!! <3

Thank you so much!! <3

Congrats! Reaching wave 10 is not an easy task. About the comments, here's what we thought...
The lighting is not only an aesthetic choice, but it also helps to remove clutter caused by the X marks.
We decided to not use right click so you can see what the range and pattern is on the weapon that you got. If you were to right click, you'd have to guess how it works, and that doesn't make sense.
Lastly, once you start a new wave you get a message on screen saying what weapon you got, and the icon on the top changes. Also, as I just said, you can right click and check what you have before you make any move.
Hope that cleared up any doubts! And thanks for giving the game a go!

Thank you so much, and great job on the score! If you check the options menu, you can find the dev's high scores so that might tell you what scores to aim for. Also, there is an infinite amount of waves. There is no ending, the only true ending is when you lose all 5 hearts and you die. (pretty morbid lmao) Anyways, thank you so much for playing our game!

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much dude!! :)

Hmmm, that could be an idea we could save for the future, who knows 👀

Thank you for the feedback!

Ahaha thank you so much! <3

Wow, thank you for the feedback! The reason the attack mode has to be toggled is due to the different weapon types, to indicate which tiles you can attack and which you can move. There could have been better ways to handle that, but it works I suppose haha.

We're really happy you enjoyed playing, thank you!!

Ahaha thank you so much!! We're all glad you enjoyed the game :))

Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed the weapon mechanics :)

Wow, thank you for the positive words!! We have spoken about releasing a mobile port of this game for Android one day, so I guess that release is entirely possible. We're glad you liked the game <3

Thank you for the feedback, but could you explain what you mean by moving your mouse over to click the spaces? Do you mean clicking the tiles to move the character? Aside from that, thank you for the kind words!

Thank you for playing, we're glad you think the game has potential! All four of us appreciate it a lot :)
