Oh my gosh! I'm so excited for the prequel, and I can't wait to hear the voice acting! 💜I'm glad the next one is coming out so soon.

I know I already left a review in the rating section right after I finished recording this, but now that the video is up I just have to say: This VN was so much fun! (I even ended up telling my twin about it right after playing xD)

I'm greatly enjoying where the story is going, and I am so excited for the next installment of this series!

This was such a little fun VN!

Shavil's somewhat dry personality was charming as hell (even in the bad end) and the little bit of story we got was really cool. It would be cool if you ever expanded upon it, but I think O'ermorrow also works as a standalone story.

Also, Shavil's design is absolutely gorgeous (and so is the BG), and the voice acting was excellent!

(1 edit)

This was a lovely experience with such a pretty demi-god!

I enjoyed all of the endings (even if some could definitely be considered bad) and the story was told very well even with the limitations of the VN jam.

I'm definitely going to have to play Nameless - The Departed Cycle sometime to see more of this universe!
(I also will have to donate for the illustration pack for this VN sometime 👀)

I can't wait for the full release! This was such a fun (and creepy) demo.

SPOILERS (maybe)

The entire premise of this game is pretty unsettling. From researching plants that come back from the Backrooms in various changed and unchanged states, to the fact that our coworkers have gone missing, there's just a very eerie atmosphere to it.

Of course, the jump scares absolutely add to that. You did a fantastic job with them! And the way the facility looks with all of the shadows and the minimal objects around it just makes the place feel bleak and almost... prison-like. And the weird flow of time and forgetfulness makes everything about the facility more unsettling. Even when the player knows something has changed, there is kind of that sensation of "but... when?" Like, when the sign in our room disappears. It actually took me a moment to register it.

Of course, meeting Dr. Calla and Dr. Florian was a bit of a reprieve from that (but I'm intensely worried that something is going to/has happened to them 😟 )

And finally getting to see Zech was so good!
He feels all sorts of wrong, but I love that the player character has doubts about whether they remember him or not. He does a good job of pretending that he's meant to be there, and it honestly sent a shiver up my spine.

Also, as an aside, the character designs in this were so good. Calla and Florian were so cute, and Zecharias was pretty and menacing as always (and the urge to faceplant into his chest grows each time I see him UwU)

You've done a great job with Lovely Pressed Flowers!
I'm looking forward to the full game!

Kat!! KAT!! This was a gorgeous visual novel. Not only is it a tie in to one of my favorite VNs ever, but the aesthetic and the tone of it was incredible.

Honestly, it was interesting to find out what happened on the side of the congregation that the player character from 10:16 belonged to.
And the Savior was appropriately eerie. His reasonings were... quite scary, actually. But I very much liked him as a villain. You really capture religious trauma and horror well when you delve into it.

Plus I love your art! ;-; it's so ethereal and pretty.

A Fire, Transfixed definitely has me in the mood to play 10:16 again, which it intend to do soon!

This was such a fun VN! It was both delightfully creepy, and also... kinda hot?

The 'villain' had just... incredible vibes. He's unsettling, he's cruel while still being oddly affectionate... and the voice actor did an amazing job of bringing him to life.

(Also, the character sprite and the menu page are beautiful)

I really want to know more about this fella, as well as what happens to the player character.

I have no idea if you have any more plans for this story, but it was a whole lot of fun and you all did a fantastic job with To Eat A Canary!

Aaah, thank you 💖

Oh my gosh! I'm excited to see the Panther!
December feels so far away, but I know it'll be worth the wait ^^

Dinner With A Deity was an absolutely lovely story (and quite melancholy).
The art was beautiful, and the voice acting was positively charming!

SPOILERS

The the idea of the deity of festivities and merriment being lonely honestly made the entire story feel so much sadder. Even upon meeting Serpentus, it was obvious that something was bothering him in spite of the happy face he tries to put on outwardly.
He's a very compelling character, though. He seems like a decently important deity, who has been left somewhat... broken by having lost those he loves
(Although I am glad that The Panther isn't gone, per se. Just no longer living among mortals) and Serpy's wish to go live among the stars to be with The Panther was awfully sweet.

I really liked how he decided to bring in a normal worshiper to spend his last night with, too. Even though it's awkward, it's really cute how he does his best to enjoy the evening, and even divulges his plan at the end.
(Although it absolutely broke my heart to be able to reject his desires ;-; I was glad he went through with leaving anyhow. I did love that, depending on which choice we made, we could get two variants of Ending 2 as well!)

Although the ending where he left on good terms with the worshiper was the most satisfying to get.

As an aside, even if I didn't know some of what goes on in this game's universe (and I really don't know a lot, save for what information was given in The Vulture... because I need to play the rest of the games, too xD) the story conveys enough of the overarching plot that this works incredibly well as a standalone game.
Just enough is said about the state of their world that you get a decent idea of what's going on.

You did an excellent job with this visual novel. I'm looking forward to playing the rest of the VNs in the same universe, and I'm excited for the ones that you have planned for the future too!

(I almost forgot to post here! >>;)

Aah, this was cute!

SPOILERS

First and foremost, I love the characters. Mei and Gabu are very charming in two different ways. Gabu is charismatic and sweet, and Mei is timid and maybe a little grumpy. I love them both so much (and their designs are gorgeous!)

I'm really hoping we'll get to uncover more of Mei's story in the later chapters. I'm quite curious about their family, their previous job, and of... well, of who killed Marron. I can completely understand why Mei doesn't trust easily because of that.

I'm really looking forward to the next chapters. There's so many things I want to ask about the characters and their world, but I'm going to have to wait and see if the subsequent chapters answer those questions first.

You did an excellent job with chapter 1! Keep up the good work ^-^

I'm a little late on playing this, but it was so much fun!

I always love getting a chance to see the EmWa characters again (and Béla definitely has a very strong presence. I quite like him.)
It was really cool to learn a little bit more about Béla too. Even if it wasn't all that much, due to the word limit.

Also, I must say that it is always a delight when I get a chance to see your art in your games. You did a great job with Béla's sprite and the menu screen!
The GUI and the lighting effects were really cool too. They really added to the atmosphere. (And the music you chose was really intense. Which suited a very intense game!)

You really did a fantastic job with Dark Arrangement.
You have such cool ideas for your O2A2 visual novels, and I'm excited for what you come up with next year too! (And I think you know already, but I'm also super hyped for Rule of Salt! ^^)

(1 edit)

Love Hex was honestly adorable!

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD

I must say, the atmosphere was delightfully creepy. Especially as the game progressed, and even more-so when Valen realized we were trying to leave. (The chase actually look me 3 tries. I freaked out a bit there.)

Valen was just so cute, even if he was a little terrifying at first ^^; I loved that he really came to like the main character, though. Even if he... well, went about showing his affection like a yandere.
Valen also has a gorgeous design even aside from his fun personality!

The main character was great too! She was sincerely hilarious no matter what answers we gave. I'm glad she got a boyfriend finally. Kinda. Hopefully she ends up properly happy in the future, since her whole life seems like a mess. But Valen seems to truly want to do nice things for her.

(As an aside, I'd love to see these two again if you have any plans for them. I want to see if they bring ruin to the main character's town xD)

Omg, yes!! xD I agree with this

I played the extended demo nearly 2 years ago, and I gotta say... PURPLE was worth the wait!

The story was interesting to uncover as the game went on. Although it was emotionally painful to see Randall's memories.
I really felt bad for him, and it was sad to see Moths hurt people in the name of protecting Randall. But it also made me want to see where the story went.
(Some of those endings were positively devastating... and some were wonderful— like the Therapy End, which might just be my favorite one.)

Even beyond the story, I really enjoyed the gameplay (and the art! The updated CGs and animations were so good!)
The puzzles were interesting, the maps were very cool (I particularly enjoyed the dream sequences) and the entire atmosphere of the game was just very well done.
And, of course, the soundtrack just added to that! There were parts of the game that made me so tense, partially because of the music and sound effects.

I think, however, my favorite part of the game was the characters. Particularly Mya and Randall. They're both very likeable characters, and their friendship is just so sweet.
(I also loved Mason. He's freakin' adorable, and such a sweetheart)

It was a very heartfelt game, and even if I don't have DID, it's been really cool to see so many people relate to PURPLE.
Y'all did a great job with this game. I can see the love (and the time) that you've put into it. I'm very much looking forward to the sequel!
Sadly I didn't find all of the secrets, but that gives me a reason to go back and play for myself at some point before playing the sequel.

(Also, as an aside, I adored the song on the credits of the True End. It had such a melancholy feel to it. It suited the game so well.)

Well, I remember you mentioning that you were going to make a door dating sim ages ago. I'm glad it finally happened, even if it was for this particular challenge.

Honestly, I never thought about dating a door before, but all I can say is... don't knock it til you try it!

Seriously, though, I laughed way too much with this. Thank you for making a sexy door dating sim. It was a delight to play.

This sure was a visual novel! Very accurate for a customer service job.

[Spoilers]

Honestly, I might be a little relieved that no one was dateable. Except John. He's prime dating material.

But, seriously, I had a lot of fun with this 😂 It was weird and silly. I hope you'll consider making more VNs in the future, especially since your sense of humor is excellent!

For me?? ;///; I'm really flattered. Thank you. I look forward to getting a chance to see it!

I agree! It honestly made the story more compelling than having an innocent MC in a lot of ways. I was both rooting for Eris and Milo's relationship, while feeling very conflicted about everything that happens.
And you really did a great job with Violence Milo's design! I realize that I didn't go super into detail about how much I love your art for this game, but it's a very aesthetically pleasing game. I'm very fond of all of the designs (the Milos are my favorite in general, even beyond how much I like V!Milo's design) and the black and white/monochrome scheme with just a little bit of color is really cool

Ooh, I'm excited to see the game you're working on. If you do make it in Godot, I hope it goes smoothly! (I've heard Godot has a similar language to Python? So hopefully it ends up pretty easy)

Ahh! Okay, so, I won't put any actual spoilers for the easter eggs here, but as far as the name ones go: I had a lot of fun with what happens when we put in bad words, and it was also cool to see how it goes when we put in the in-game characters names.
But out of the name ones, my favorites were Vance, Alan, and Tenebris (and I enjoyed when we input your screennames)
I haven't found all of the nickname ones yet (I can't remember all of the nicknames yanderes call the MC), but Sunshine, DoeEyes, and Muse made me smile.
(Beyond that, I am struggling to find some of the ones in the code/files xD I'm really bad at that sort of stuff, sadly. And I haven't found the one on the home-screen yet)

I know I mentioned it before I made this video (on various social media), but this game had me howling.

I loved it. I'm sorry, it was so funny. (The voice acting absolutely sent me xD I still can't stop thinking about it. I tried to explain it to my sibling too because it's too funny not to.)

I know none of this is canon, but it's honestly so perfect and getting vague lore about Zech was excellent. And getting to touch some Zech tiddy was a nice touch (especially the honking. Oh god, the honking)

The endings were appropriately awful/good, too.
I mean, the best ending was obviously the best, but I'm very partial to the 4th bad ending because the whole premise made me cackle.

Good (bad?) job! I'm looking forward to playing more of Zech's canon stories, but this was absolutely delightful.
(I know that sorta defeats the purpose of making the "Worst Visual Novel", but credit where credit is due... this was a fun one!)

Life Cycles was such an interesting game! First and foremost, I am a huge fan of anthropomorphic insects (obviously) and I really enjoyed that the actual lives and habits of these insects were incorporated into a more human-like society.

[Spoilers]

Obviously, the best part of the game was Oggie and Harmonia and their friendship. Although, I loved how both routes explored the friendship in different ways.

The Kidnapped Route, while a bit more intense in the way that Oggie and Harmonia actually get to know each other (at first), seemed more laid-back over all. Save for the bad ending, the interactions between them were just really sweet and it was delightful to see how Harmonia matured emotionally as he tried to care for Oggie.
Although, the neutral endings had such a... hollow feeling to them. It hurt to see the two of them start to become friends, and then abruptly drop everything to go back to their old lives (whether out of lingering mistrust imnthe first neutral ending, or in the 2nd neutral ending where Harmonia thinks that he failed to protect Oggie at all and decides to send him back home.)
Needless to say, I was most fond of the True Ending because they got to stay together and explore their relationship from there.

The Secret Friends Route, on the other hand, had so much more of a "forbidden" feeling to it. Which, in turn, really brought out Oggie and Harmonia's chemistry (and to show how Oggie had to accept Harmonia for his nature.) It also brought the stakes a lot higher for when they get caught.
The bad ending was... traumatizing. While in the other route, there was a chance for Oggie to still end up living a better life in the bad end, in this route there was no such chance. It also made me wonder just what Harmonia got up to in that ending.
The neutral endings, however, were a lot sweeter and left me with much less of a hollow feeling than the ones in the other route. It was nice to see that Oggie and Harmonia actively stayed friends. Although it was probably a little hard on Oggie to leave everyone else behind, at least he could explore a life of adventure with someone he truly cared about.
And, of course, the True End was a lot of fun! I liked the implications of an aphid uprising, and it would be really cool to see the aftermath of that. For now, I suppose, I'll just have to imagine what happened.

Beyond the fascinating story, I was absolutely enthralled by the character designs. They are so cute! Oggie, Bean, and Harmonia just have wonderful designs and it was cool to see how they were anthropomorphized from their respective insect types. (I love the ants too. They vaguely made me think of Agent Smith from the Matrix or something.)

Overall, this was a great game!
I'm surprised it was your first game because it's so well put together. The story is cohesive, the character designs are fantastic, and the mapping was well done.
Keep up the good work! I'm truly excited to see what other ideas you have for games, and I'll have to try out your visual novels at some point.

I'm surprised that no one else spotted the flowers before me! You did a great job of incorporating them, though. They're a nice, subtle incorporation but still obvious enough that one can notice if they pay attention.

Tier is a frustrating character. I enjoyed him as a well-written antagonist, but he is very irrationally driven. I'm honestly looking forward to seeing what happens to him.

It's going to be so cool when everything ties together! I'm excited for it.

Thank you for checking out my playthrough, and for making such delightful visual novels 💖

Bloodlines was positively delightful!

[Possible SPOILERS. Other players read at your own risk]

Firstly, (whether for a gamejam or not) it was lovely to see a visual novel centering around understanding and accepting asexuality. But also, getting to know more about the world of Mythics and seeing some of the ties to the other games in the Folklore series was really cool.

I'm honestly excited to see where this story goes, and just how much of it ties into the other games (I could see the big tie-in ... besides with the Mythics themselves... when the box was brought in.)

Even as a standalone, however, this was a solid visual novel. The characters were very well written. Even King Tier, who frustrated me to no end. I actually am looking forward to his downfall, if that is at all planned.

The other characters were lovely, however. I adored all of them. Morrigan was wonderfully sassy (and beautiful, too!) and Sean is an absolute sweetheart. I'm glad that he holds strong in spite of how much the king nags about him needing a successor.
And, of course, Robert was adorable. As a grown up, he has quite an air of patience, and I am curious to see what happens in regards to him having the sea's favor. Also... he seems a bit familiar? His looks are similar to the Creature in Inside The Box. I can only guess that he has a decent part to play in this series.

Of course, the aesthetics of this game were utterly gorgeous, too. Even with some of the modern flair to the art, the way that you colored them and the outfits they wore along with the backgrounds, made it all look very much like an illustration in an old fairytale or something. And I love the entire premise of using old folklore creatures in the series that you are making. It's really cool!

The voice acting really tied it all together, too. (Though I did mute Morrigan for recording the video, I really liked her voice when I got a chance to listen to it) Both actors did an excellent job!

To sum it all up. I had a lot of fun with Bloodlines, and I was so sad with there being a cliffhanger! I'm really looking forward to more, both of this story and of the Folklore series in general.
Keep up the great work. I have a lot of fun with your visual novels!

Perfect Love is such a cool game!! I liked it a lot (I think I made that obvious over on tumblr too, but now that I've finished it I figured I ought to leave a comment here, too)

[SPOILERS, kinda]

I have to admit it was fun to play a yandere visual novel where we are, arguably, the antagonist (and we're not even the yandere!) Eris is an absolutely reprehensible character, and I had a whole lot of fun playing them. Their aspirations for a relationship are utterly twisted, and they certainly go through unsavory methods to get what they want.

The whole way through, I felt so bad for Milo.
Admittedly, even if the outcomes were pretty terrifying, it was nice to see him happy in the two main routes. For all that Eris turned him into, at the end of the day he was just happy when he could have them all to himself... even if he went to some pretty terrifying lengths to have them.

(As an aside, I really adored Violence!Milo for some reason 😂 I wasn't much of a fan of being beaten up by him in a few endings (not that Manipulation!Milo didn't also use some violent methods), but as someone who has dealt with manipulative partners in the past... I'd say the one who uses brute force was somehow less scary. Plus I was a big fan of his aesthetic!)

The Perfect Love route (ending(s)?) was very rough, though.
Milo had his entire world shattered in both variants, and that was just... painful. Poor guy. You really captured the agony of having his perception about his love crumble around him.
And yet, I have a feeling he'll still choose Eris over everyone and everything, anyhow.

Overall, it was fun to have a game where two monsters embrace being terrible and love each other. Even if Milo wouldn't have been a monster before he met Eris, he certainly became one after.

I'm not sure if you plan to make any more visual novels in the future, but the one you have made is fantastic!
I'm looking forward to seeing what you add to it in future updates!
(And, also, I plan to try and find some of the references you have in it, now that I've done a whole proper playthrough)

Keep up the good work!

This was such a fun (and creepy) visual novel!

Y'all always do such a great job with the horror games, and it was nice to see a yandere-themed game with no romance.

[Spoilers]

That being said... Mr. Hemlock is quite a creepy character. I loved that he was not human (although, whether it was all in Lucy's mind or not, I still couldn't quite ascertain despite Mr. Hemlock claiming it was real each time, and if it was actually real did the other teachers know?)

Even as a regular human, he did have a rather unsettling air about him. He seemed nice enough, but I was for sure with Lucy on the fact that there was just something kind of wrong about him.

As a monster, however, he was very eerie. His design was fabulous and I loved the branch-like appearance to the appendages on his head and his long fingers. Hell he even looks a bit like he could be made of wood(is that why his name is Mr. Hemlock, or is that just a coincidence?)
Plus the writing for his lines were definitely enough to give me goosebumps.

Lucy, too, is an excellent character. She is relatable in quite a few ways, and I honestly felt really bad for her. While she seems to be trapped with Mr. Hemlock in one way or another, I hold out hope that she ultimately escapes.
Although it really does beg the question - why her? Why did he choose her? (But that comes around again to... is it real or all in her head?)

You all really did a great job with this!
I'm looking forward to your subsequent games, as well! Keep up the good work.

(Link to entire playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlN8vAkzsnt0UH2rqB-VAgk5ZaHc9y85i ... sans the little extra thing, I still gotta go back and get a couple of good endings again)

While it took me far, far longer than I had intended to get all of the routes.. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I love  OBSCURA.

Even though we only get a small glimpse of it, the world seems very interesting. I enjoyed the little bits of lore that we get here and there from both Vesper and other characters around the market. And, Vesper's plight is actually quite fascinating.
I feel terrible for them, and even without the varied and wonderful Love Interests, I would still want to see how the story ends for Vesper. (Yes, I am one of the big fans for Vesper. They are very charming for a player character!)
Plus, the very different paths and endings we can get with each character were a hell of a lot of fun! The writing for every character was just absolutely amazing (not to mention the beautiful art that we've been treated to!)

SPOILER WARNING

The Love Interests are certainly the biggest draw, however. Each route has very fun and enthralling storylines, even for taking place in a relatively short time-frame.

Now, I started with Oleander.

I freaking adore Oleander. He ended up being probably my favorite of the Love Interests. He's charming, he's witty... he's a murderer, and he absolutely plays the part of the Gadfly well.

Excluding the endings where Vesper's downfall is their own fault (to an extent), even Oleander's bad end was actually quite gentle.

He's not a good person in many ways, but he really has a kind side to him. The scenes where he takes Vesper to the tea house — and where I first got to know Griff, who was hilarious by the way — and the dance scene at the party were just... beautiful. I think the dance scene took my breath away.

As an aside, I really liked that his story is very intertwined with Keir's. But I am a little worried as to where things are going to go between them.

Next up, Francesco! The boy, the cutie. Light of my life, apple of my eye. He's just about tied with Oleander for a favorite.

I just don't exactly... trust him. While Oleander's bad sides were pretty obvious, Francesco not so much.

Yes, he definitely has a problem where he wants to get into some not so great things and he kind of puts himself into bad situations... but there is definitely more than meets the eye when it comes to him (or is there? He really could just be naïve and sweet. I just have a feeling he's not entirely that)

I have to admit, I sobbed during the bad endings we could get before going into the club. I was outraged.

In  general, Francesco is kind of a mess but it's very charming. I just want to hold him and protect him from the marketplace... and from himself, a little bit. He's really trying to get into some heavy stuff, and as someone who had gone through a bit of a phase trying some -cough- similar things, I can say it may not be worth it in the long-run. But that just means that I hope we can protect him and help him when the time comes.

Keir was my next choice.

He is sassy. I loved it. I loved the banter.

He also had a very tough shell to get through. Of course, because he's a thief who is doing his best to keep his home and friends safe and cared for, it's pretty understandable. It also makes a lot of sense that he only starts to open up to Vesper if we manage to be more open to the life he leads.

I loved the touch of having to be more friendly with his thief pals to lead into his good ending.

There were definitely higher stakes in his route. I appreciated that we got a little taste of what his job entails, and it was actually quite terrifying when we had to deal with the guard. As someone with social anxiety and a mistrust for people in a place of power, it made me very uncomfortable and the bad end with most of the group was very disheartening.

I would say, however, his storyline is the most compelling in the sense of trying to help people on top of fixing Vesper's dilemma. I really hope there is a happy ending there, because I actually am scared for the future of Mouse Hole.

Cirrus' route is the most recent route for me and... wow.

He is beautiful, but he is scary and kind of The Absolute Worst ™

I had a vague sense of what we were getting into when starting his route, but he is actually quite a cold character in many ways.

Between selling off Vesper when he gets bored of them, or just straight up orchestrating their death... He's awful xD I got angry during those endings.
It's actually a little scary that a man like him is in a place of power like a priest. He really can (and, I assume, does) hurt people under the guise of helping them. A true sadist. I only hope that some of what he does really does end up helping those who seek him out.

I can't say I'm not a masochist in a sense, but he does go overboard (and I don't mean the flogging scene, just in general... even if I had mixed feelings on how he went about the punishment because the consent felt dubious even with Vesper obeying and being more open to him). And yet, it makes me wish to see where his and Vesper's romance will lead in the best ending.

I won't entirely hold my breath, but I hope to see him soften a little bit and maybe become a slightly better person. (But hey, even if he doesn't, he is very nice to look at and the scary personality is  fun to deal with.

Edit: I know this comment is a few days old, but I did want to add that I think the writing for Cirrus is fantastic, and I hope no one thought that I meant otherwise. It is rare that a character/story makes me become actually angry. I think he is truly a fascinating character.)

And this got a bit long...
Sorry, this review got a little away from me.

Thank you all for working so hard on this gorgeous visual novel. From the writers, artists, and the person behind the music, everyone did a fabulous job. I am very much looking forward to chapter 2 and all subsequent chapters!

Silver Thread Deux was just as much fun as the first one (if not more so!) It was wonderful to see more of Alicia and Beaford's interactions, and their dynamic while working together was fantastic.

I do have to admit, the best part about the entire game was the characters.
All of them had such unique personalities, and there were plenty of times where their interactions made me laugh or even feel suspicious of them.
Plus, all of the designs were very nice. I'm always blown away by the pixel art in your games!

The story itself was very enjoyable too. It was an interesting mystery, and the ways that the player had to figure out how to help Astrea (or fail to do so) were quite interesting.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed this game. I'm super excited for the next one to come out, too!

Now that I've gotten all of the endings and gone down all of the routes, I wanted to leave a comment!

[Some spoilers ahead]

.

.

This was a sincerely lovely game. First and foremost, helping the vampires escape someone who is emotionally manipulative and abusive just feels really damn good. (Although, those bad endings were brutal!)
The story overall was really creative, and getting to see how the different character's routes played out was a hell of a lot of fun.

It's somewhat difficult for me to say which route and ending I liked the best. I feel like, in a lot of ways, Lark's ended up the most satisfying when we got the good end (helping him escape his abuser was rather cathartic.)
However, I really enjoyed Aurel's good ending— it was just so comfy, and after all the isolation he had to deal with at the carnival it was nice to see him getting plenty of love.
And in Micah's route, it felt nice to show him that the outside world can be a good place with good people. Particularly giving him a life where those who accept him for who he is and he can be much more open about it if he so chooses (and, as a trans person as well, that feels really freakin' good.)
I think I just really enjoyed all of the routes, and I was able to empathize with and understand the LIs in different ways.

Other than the fantastic (and quite emotional) story, the art was gorgeous. The artists did an amazing job, and I really enjoyed how expressive the sprites were with both their expressions, and their small animations.
Plus, the end CGs were really nice. They really  captured the joy that each of the characters must have felt after leaving the carnival (and after leaving Isadora)

Thank you all for working so hard on Carnival of Shadows. I look forward to playing it again once the voice acting is added!

This was a sincerely wonderful visual novel!

Frederick was such a sweet character, I freakin' adored him! (I would give him the world. He deserves so much)
And the two good endings were lovely. I even got a bit emotional over them 😅

The story was really cool overall, actually. I loved the twist with the player character! It was fun kind of exploring the different outcomes and whether they start to regain their memories or not.
Also, the art style really suited the whole setting. The black and white illustrations were all beautiful.

I look forward to seeing more of your solo stuff in the future!

This is all amazing news!

First of all, congratulations on one year of EmWa, and on over 4k downloads! This game is awesome and I really hope even more people play it as time goes on 💜

I'm so excited to see how the re-done and added CGs turn out. I am looking forward to playing Emerald Wasp again when everything is finished (and I will also definitely be getting it on Steam when you get that set up ^-^)

Ohh, I'll be keeping an eye out for that announcement!
I'm excited for a chance to see more of Hellion and his adventures 💖

Thank you for the kind words, as well 🥰
And thank you all for your hard work! So far the VNs I've gotten to play by this team have been an utter delight, and I'm looking forward to playing even more of them!

(I absolutely meant to reply to this earlier 😅)

I am looking forward to getting to know more about Cru-chan and his familiars, as well as see more of the apprentice's journey!
All of these characters are delightful, so I'm delighted that we get to see more of all of them. This series is turning out to be a great deal of fun!

And thank you for passing on my compliments to the voice actors too 😊

I'll definitely keep an eye out for the future installments of the Folklore series.
Thank you for your hard work!

This was an adorable visual novel!

Hellion was an absolute delight (and kind of a dork), and his responses to everything were just so much fun. He was way nicer than one would expect a demon to be, and very charming.

I honestly laughed a lot during this VN. Both endings were delightful, and it was nice to see Hellion try to look after the player character either way.

The art was also really nice. Hellion's expressions were adorable, and the color scheme was very aesthetically pleasing. On top of that, the voice acting was fantastic and the music suited the setting very well!

The Inbetween really was a fun, short experience.
(Is it bad of me to kinda wish to see how Hellion and the player's adventures go on earth? 😂)

I'm super normal about this game (I'm not) and I enjoyed it so much!

[SPOILERS AHEAD]

First of all, it was a fantastic sequel to Do You Like Sweets?
I was thrilled to see more of this universe and of the Crooked Man's apprentice (as well as the man himself, because I have missed that sharp-toothed grin so much) and I love knowing that the apprentice gets their self into some fairly sticky situations such as this one.

This was honestly such an interesting premise, though. If one didn't play the other games in the Folklore series, this would serve as a very fun introduction to this universe. (Although I do highly recommend that other folks at least play Do You Like Sweets, since it introduces the Crooked Man at the very least.)

Besides enjoying a chance to see more of this particular universe, it was a lot of fun to get more backstory (mostly in the 4th end) and it was delightful to meet the creature!
The creature was so intimidating, and yet strangely alluring. I like him a lot as an antagonist and as a character in general.

Of course, my favorite part was finally escaping and seeing the Crooked Man again. I was surprised that he has such a normal name. It was nice to see a more human side to him, too. Even through his frustration, it was very obvious he cared.
I definitely hope we get to see more of him and his familiars.

Besides loving the story, the voice acting was phenomenal and the art was lovely as always!

Overall, Inside The Box was a fantastic experience. It was a little spooky, a little mysterious, and a whole lot of fun!

Aah ;-; thank you for watching my video!

I'm glad it made you and Ka Chan happy!

I'm so happy it brought a smile to your faces ^-^

I look forward to seeing his role in the other games he appears in, whether big or small! He's a very intriguing character
(I'm also excited to see Ashley in Roses in the Thorns when I eventually play it, since I see that she's a main character as well.)

Keep up the good work, and I hope that production on the other titles you are working on is going smoothly.

This was a fascinating little visual novel!

I find the idea of a war between vampires and fae interesting (and I'll definitely have to check out the other games in this universe to get the whole scope of it).
However, even without playing the other VNs, this one still gave a lot of good details and the atmosphere was excellent!

||Small Spoilers||

Both of the endings were very fitting. Whether we had Ashley trust Blaec and whether she felt negatively or positively about The Vulture was a fantastic way to set things in motion.
Him taking her life if she felt negatively towards The Vulture and said cruel things, or him saving her if she wished that he was there to help bring the war to an end was very in line for a deity. It was also a nice touch that in the ending where he took her life, she begged for help. But when he saved her, she had already given up.

It was honestly a beautiful and very melancholy story. I look forward to seeing the rest of the Royal Duality universe sometime, and I hope we get a chance to see more of Blaec in the future as well!

The concept for The Batchelor is so cute! I really enjoyed it (that bad end caught me off guard, though. I feel terrible - I kinda laughed at how over the top it was.)

The characters were a lot of fun, too. Helios is such a cute grump (not that I blame him for dealing with the MC, and for the MC not even realizing his feelings!)
And Vivian is an absolute sweetheart. He's so patient, and their style is impeccable. (Honestly, everyone's designs are freakin' gorgeous! *_*)
And, of course, the MC is a total disaster in a charming way.

I'm definitely going to have fun with the full VN when it comes out (plus, hell yeah to being able to go down a poly route!)

This was a fun demo! (The bad endings were excellent, and even made me laugh a little.)

I'm excited to see just where the story goes.
Also, y'all really went hard with the character designs. They are beautiful!

Keep up the good work! I look forward to playing this again when you finish it.

Aah, thank you! I hope my let's play has done your VN justice!
Talai definitely seems like a fun character to write for, and she and Henrik are just too much fun. You gave them great chemistry (in their own way 😂)

I'm definitely looking forward to their role in NonPlatonic forms, and I'm looking forward to getting to see their history more in-depth (I'm sincerely curious as to how they met!)

(2 edits)

This was a sincerely funny (and gory) experience!

I adore Hendrik and Talaiporia. They are absolutely the strangest couple, but they work well together.
Hendrik's upbeat attitude and love of punishment was... strangely refreshing. His determination to make the whole date good was really cute(? Maybe cute isn't the right word for it... Since he was kind of awful in his own way, but he sure was interesting!) He just tried so hard to please Talaiporia.
However, I think for me, it was Talaiporia who stole the show. She was snarky and mean and had the worst (best) attitude. She makes me think an awful lot of a grumpy cat, and I loved it! Not to mention, her design is superb!
(I may be biased, however. As a lover of monsters and eldritch beings, sometimes my opinion sways in favor the monstrous characters 😅)

I'll definitely have to check out your other visual novels sometime. I loved May I Take Your Order?, and I'm certain I'll enjoy some of your other visual novels as well.
(I've been especially eyeing Nonplatonic Forms... and your Lupin the Third fangames, since I like Lupin III a lot.)
