I like how you used the darkness effect + infinite enemy range to drive up the tension. It’s interesting that it really feels like a “complex” bullet hell despite all bullets spawning at near random positions.
Batteries are sadly extremely random. On my first playthrough I got to like, level 5 and found no batteries since wave 1. From my observations they seem to despawn after some time and, combined with darkness, are really hard to find. And even once you find them ,the extended vision doesn’t seem that much helpful. Would be cooler to get something else, maybe a super attack to destroy enemies effectively, since they have so much health.
Thank you!
The corner strategy should stop being viable after some time — as the game progresses enemies get more hp and the laser should be mostly outclasses by bombs for mass kills. Maybe I messed up the balance in the last few moments though.
As for the movement I agree. It was the first thing I made for the game and it ended up being goofy. In the last moments before release I improved the movement a lot anyway. Believe me, it was even worse.
I was able to reproduce it now. When you deselect the interactive frame it seems to lose keyboard focus, therefore disabling the ability to choose other elements than the one you had selected. I will not be able to fix it now, especially as it is related to the library I made the build with rather than my own programming. Please download the app or do not deselect the frame if you wanna have the full experience.
Cheers.
UPDATE: This seems to be bug in Unity / Apple’s code-signing, so we’re pulling the Mac build for now. If you’ve bought a broken copy, please let us know (info@inklestudios.com) with some proof of purchase and we’ll supply a Steam key (the Mac version on Steam is fine, for some magical reason). Apologies again.
