its good game, its nicely polished and has an arcade feel do it.  but i just stayed in the corner because i lost track of which one the front of the cube is and it made my brain spin. but i had fun playing

This is hard control but good game.

Nice full set of a game. I was also annoyed a bit with not know when I was facing front. If it was intentional to make it harder, I don't think it was needed given the tank controls alredy do that. There's also a tiny offset on the laser, since it's fired from the front.

Maybe could use some bump car sprites to make it more thematic, would also solve the facing direction perception :)

I ended up using the corner strat because I just couldn't control the movement, especially not while trying to shoot too. Having a sprite that makes it clearer which way you're facing would help a lot with this. That aside, I really like the clean aesthetic and it sounds great.

A very simple, yet addictive game. However, the hitting sound seemed annoying.

Really nice polish on the art. Looks really good.

I ended staying in a corner as I found safer than moving and jumping with so many enemies.

Well done!

Thank you!

The corner strategy should stop being viable after some time — as the game progresses enemies get more hp and the laser should be mostly outclassed by bombs for mass kills. Maybe I messed up the balance in the last few moments though

This was really well polished, good work!

Two notes:

The tank controls never really let me feel in-control of what my car was doing. I lost track of which way my little square was facing pretty frequently.

Because of this, I found myself sitting in a corner and firing lasers more than once, while I got myself turned around properly, and because this strategy actually has some advantages over driving around, it made the game feel a little less like a driving game and more like a stationary turret game.

But seriously, good work- I had a lot of fun!

As for the movement I agree. It was the first thing I made for the game and it ended up being goofy. In the last moments before release I improved the movement a lot anyway. Believe me, it was even worse.

My original comment for was for the wrong game, whoops! Enjoyable game, I think linking player life to the ammo count and then healing on hit was a cool concept.
