Thanks so so much for the very detailed feedback! It’s great to read through these and see what we could have done better. While we did have a lot of these ideas initially in our planning phases, we had a team of 5+ writers each with very different ideas and intentions, working in vastly differing amounts, leading to a very disjointed and non cohesive story. Unfortunately this showcases are struggles with working in a team, as in the end the script ended up being whatever was easiest to do, and not what we would have liked to do. I would have loved to do more with exploring the idea of morality and actually creating consequences for your actions and allowing you to do more things within the games world. While I don’t particularly feel a desire to revisit this game in particular to improve it, I will certainly keep this feedback in mind when working on projects in the future.

Thanks so much for the feedback, and we hope you enjoyed the game!

That’s great! Hopefully this should help anyone trying to use the script in the future.

Thank you so much! We worked really hard on this, so we’re happy to hear you enjoyed it. 😃

Hi. Yes I am aware of this glitch, however I thought it had disappeared in the final build. Unfortunately, as far as I am aware I cannot solve it myself either the skills I have, as it is caused by the Ren’py Glitch Script (this one: https://github.com/Gouvernathor/renpy-ChromaGlitch) If you ignore the error the game generally goes on fine, however I if you could contact me to try and help me fix the bug, I would be forever grateful.

Thanks for the feedback and for playing the game! We're glad you were able to enjoy it. Since we're always looking to improve for our future projects, would you be able to tell us what fixes would enable us to do better and anything else we could to do improve in future?

Great video by the way!

Overall great game! Love the UI, got some good writing as well and an interesting story to tell. The music was also great! Only negative feedback I have to give is the random changes in art style can sometimes be quite jarring, and the lack of voice acting throughout most of the game makes it feel quite out of place when it is present. Still, great game that I greatly enjoyed playing!

thanks, limbo was definitely our main art inspiration so we’re really glad you got that from the game. We’re definitely planning on continuing some sort of version of this game in the future!

yep, this is probably the lowest effort jam game I’ve ever done, but I wanted to just get something out. For the 45 mins I spent on it I’m pretty happy that I managed to export something at all.

Yep, that's all good. This definitely isn't something I'm proud of, I just saw an email about the jam and saw the word multiplayer literally 8 hours before the jam so I thought I might as well try and whip up some sort of prototype in an hour to learn Gdevelop's built in multiplayer.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear it!

bro you are so skibidi gyatt top g for this on god no cap

So much fun, the art style and music are fun too! Great interpretation of the theme as well, good luck!

Super polished and super fun! I enjoyed it a lot and it's a fun little arcade game!

Really fun idea, and I absolutely love the interface, it looks just like a real pixel art software!

Fun little idea, love the art style!

Haha, whoops! I guess those fees are hidden.. Extra surprise for later!

Great game with an absolutely incredible atmosphere! The art, and that music, it all adds to an amazing feeling of isolation. I had a great time playing, good luck!

Is that you Joker?

Thank you SO much for playing the game! Your video is absolutely hilarious, I'm glad you enjoyed the game. We're so thankful you were willing to try it out, and even make a video on it! Thanks so much man.

That intro is absolutely hilarious, great job!

Thanks for the actual feedback! The plot definitely isn't the strongest, and I agree that there's a lot that could be improved. In regards to the art, that's mostly just because of a lack of time, we didn't properly get started until the last week of the jam and one our artists was sick and unable to work for portions of the jam which definitely contributed to the lack of expressions and backgrounds. We'll definitely take your feedback into consideration for our future games!

"bad writing" is completely useless in helping us improve. You're obviously only trying to be negative and tell us our works suck. That's not real criticism. If you're going to say something constructive, say it, otherwise stop insulting our work.

If you're using the word "yapping", it's hard to take your feedback seriously. "Yapping" is not a valid criticism of writing. If you could explain it in a truly constructive way and show us where you believe we could improve, that would be truly useful.

Could you elaborate? I'd love to know how we could improve!

I’m glad you.. like him.

I don't have a story or anything ready for this jam yet, but I am working on it. Working with someone to make some music for the game would be great! Your music is really great!

What is the license for this? Can it be used commercially?

once in the ship, talk to the npcs on top of the planets. The planets have no collisions because the game is 3d but made in a 2d engine (GDevelop)

what part did you reach? To progress into the game, you need to listen to all 3 npcs dialogue on all 3 planets, the full way through. If you are talking about the game freezing when talking to the robot (astra), this is just a bug that I was not allowed to fix due to the rules of another jam. However after this there is just a little epilogue scene which is currently inaccessible.

thanks! I tried really hard to get the skyboxes to look nice.

thanks!

What do you mean "live in 2 dimensions"?

Really cool game! Only problem I found is that after I died and went back to the main menu, I started a new game and three different music tracks played overlapping at the same time. Besides that though, nice take on tower defense, was very fun!

Nice! That's a really cool solution. Already rated, your game is really great. Good luck! You'll definitely be close to the top.

Thanks!

Really cool! Loved the reflections.

cool story, pretty fun game, graphics are nice, really liked the intro, but the game gets boring pretty quickly.

Absolutely incredible! How did you do those 3D cutscenes? Great job, loved the game, loved the graphics, loved the writing.

This is absolutely amazing! It's incredible that you made this in just 9 days! I really love the writing, and your use of 3D is incredible! I really want to know how you did the 3D cutscene in the intro.. The only thing I'd really improve is maybe adding a feature where you can move around the camera.

why would you do this...
