ooo maybe.  I was thinking to just clear and reset the timer on grabbing the bin but that may be better

I've been experimenting with changing it so the complaining neighbour goes away as soon as you grab hold of the bin rather than having to move it away from the house.  Think this will be more manageable especially in later levels.  What do you think about this?

How are you finding the game generally?   Some things in the final version will be quite different following the beta feedback

Thanks for comment and score submission.  You're in the running for a free full copy of the game.  Note as per my comment above, the totalling bug is fixed.  Also the scoring system has been totally reworked since the beta hahah

FYI the score here is 1760.  as per the addition of the summary.  There was a bug (fixed now) that didn't reset the score between games and kept adding to it, hence the 4760.  1760 is still a good score mind :-)  Thanks for the comments and submission

I will fix this. For now you can just delete the game and side load the new zip

This should be fixed now.  pdx.zip updated.  Let me know if it reoccurs, or if you find any other issues

FYI this is to do with the speed run mode which is still in development and i haven’t fully disabled it in the beta.  Hoping it’s something people find fun

Great thanks.  I'll get these fixed and reupload (probably will be tomorrow now as I'm travelling).  Let me know if you find anything else or any general feedback.  The joys of beta versions :-)

Nice !

Awesome little game.  Satisfying puzzles at just the right challenge to make you think but not get frustrating.  Amazing for a first game.   Look forward to seeing more from you.

Thanks for the comments:

  • Skull effect wasn't fully intentional but worked out alright
  • Yeah only used accelerometer as have never before so wanted a different part of the SDK and experiment (as I tend to in jams).  Plus the thought was you were holding and turning the playdate like it was the shield.  Would definitely need refinement, rethink or removal if I was to ever make a full version.

yeah, originally the game was quite slow and easy so I upped the ante.  Be sure to turn the shield round (A or left) immediately after collecting an Obol to buy yourself some time to redirect the beam away from Charon

cool. Thanks for the reply.  I couldn’t even get passed the first pipe.  Maybe I just suck hahahah.  Game looks nice, keep it up.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems extremely difficult to control, to the point where it's barely playable

(1 edit)

Will give it a try. FYI you have 2 pdxversion and build version entries in your pdxinfo file so will not sideload without removing one

This is great fun. The humour and progression kept me playing.  Can't wait to see more from you.  Small question, when I continued it placed me in the same room but without any of the "powers" that I had previously gained.  Is this by design?

Congratulations. Well deserved

Hi, you need to update your pdxinfo file with the bundleID etc. for it to be sideloaded.  Speak up if you need help doing this

Great news.  Congratlations and well earned.  Will you post here if the catalog version gets updated?

Great thanks.  Yeah yours was definitely up there as one of the best submissions too.  Top use of the input controls and theme.

Yeah I might add a dot or something different there plus I think the collision box could be more forgiving.  Thanks for the kind comment and feedback.  I'm pretty sure I'll evolve this into a full game early next year.

thanks. Congrats on your submission too, really great.

Thanks.  Your game was really well thought out and I think there's loads of ways you could can keep evolving the base game, mechanics and theme even further.  Would suit a platformer, survival game, puzzler etc.

Thank you.  Your game was a cool submission too.

Cool thanks for your feedback and ideas.  Yeah I  spotted the typo just after I uploaded (doh!) and agree that instructions could be worded better.  I didn't add numbers, as didn't want the screen too cluttered and wanted a bit more challenge whilst helping players learn to read analog time.  Glad you enjoyed the game

Thanks for the great comment.  Yeah if I had more time I have more ideas for the enemy rather than pure RNG.  Glad you enjoyed it

FYI your bundle id in your pdxinfo is still the default com.organization.package so will not appear on the playdates after sideloading

I just got the same bug.  Love the game.
