- My personal favorite of the jam - same goes for many others, I am sure. A surprisingly competent bullet heaven (though in this case there are not many bullets to speak of) in the vein of Vampire Survivors or Holocure. The selection of items - though somewhat limited - felt pretty varied in both effect and usefulness, same with the fairies. Giving each fairy a different ability, weapon and drop rate for different items (at least it felt like that was part of it) really gave the game some replay value, especially with the inclusion of fairy-unique comments for items and a hidden true ending. If I had to give some suggestions and ideas: Having the fairies' dialogue change as their pregnancy progresses would be nice - it would not be necessary for all items, just some. Similar to that I would also like to see fairy-specific items that may affect their unique skills or their weapons. Also, that crush was just a massive tease - with her figure and all. Maybe a second run set after the true ending could have some side effects on her...?
- 2nd Place Score: (108/150)

This was such a fun little game. Fingers crossed this will have future updates.
with the new update, the game is great! I enjoyed it a ton! you all did great work and congrats on getting second on the jam! you deserve it!
crossing my fingers for the update lol
Congrats on getting 2nd in the jam! You guys definitely earned it. Thanks for the excellent game.
Yea, I can't really play this one cuz all the text doesn't really show in the boxes, it's all off and the even the main menu is like, cut in half and I could barely even hit the options button, hoping full screen would fix it and it didn't unfortunately ;-;
The next update will have a fix for just that. It should be posted after the judging period
This should be fixed in the current update!
Very fun game. As a fan of survivors game, this one does great job managing difficulty to always feel engaging. Also loved all the little references. The dialogue and story was very cute and was amplified by the wonderful art helping push those narrative moments. The preg belly animations from the bosses and fairies were really nice but I wish there was some more ways pregnancy tied into the core gameplay. One minor thing that came up occasionally was losing my mouse in a sea of enemies. I think it would help to have a custom mouse cursor to both help with visibility and add another spot to build on the already great visual stylings. I will say sometimes RNG can be brutal with the upgrades not giving you the DPS you want. But other than that, this is a very polished game even ignoring the context of it being a jam entry. Very surprised by the quality. Great work!
Depending on what you mean by "resolution is bad" it may have been fixed in the current update!
The size of the game screen does not fit.
Like it's too big? You should be able to edit the size of the window now
This was a fun game, the dialogue was nice, crosscrescent's art is great as always, and the differences between the three fairies was neat. The one problem I had was with the soul fairy, where the short attack range made killing enemies without getting hit hard, and so I had a big group of enemies at the end (with some of the 2nd werewolf enemies still alive). This made everything slow down and lag, even after culling the down the group.
This game is fun! I think the main problem I've been having is that the hitboxes can be a little weird. I'll think I've got a safe distance from the queen while still being able to hit her, only to get a game over! Other than that though, this is pretty rad!
the hitboxes have been adjusted for the current update!
Very cute! I love the story and the characters, especially blue and the main character. I do want a Blue plush now. For game play, it's simple but satisfying. I do wish there was more "weapons" you could get on level up. I did notice that the maid doesn't seem to update their damage when you upgrade. I was also a little sad that when you replay at the end your character model wasn't updated to match the ending. XD
very solid and enjoyable action roguelike beat them all, with pretty nice dialogues, it feels very complete and finished despite being so short.
Solid game, even disregarding the Jam. I play a lot of these VS / Action Roguelite / Horde Battler games and this one's surprisingly solid despite it all.
I wrote up a long (but inaccurate) review that got swallowed up by Itch (it's around here somewhere?), but the gist of it is that it's a pretty basic, very easy VS-like with a lot of balance issues and no replay value (minus the three runs), but other than that it's basically a 10/10.
Absolute #1 complaint is that your run's difficulty is 100% decided by how many DPS-related rolls you get, that's it, nothing else. Not really any way to get past that attack damage/speed need, since there's really no other good way to increase damage.
No-lie fell asleep at my desk on my run with the blue fairy because I got zero (0) damage-related rolls until the final boss and had to kite everything in circles doing chip damage. About halfway through the run, I nodded off and woke up to find I was missing 75% of my health, surrounded completely in enemies.
Genuinely made me laugh, the writing for what story there is, is on point.
The Gameplay is fun too, wasn't expecting to have different main weapons for each fairy but I guess it does make sense in hindsight since it keeps it feeling fresh between each run.
My one singular issue is probably with the "Soul Fairy", some sort of indicator for what mode you are in would be nice, I found myself dying more than once because I'd accidentally swapped modes and not realised. Still very fun though and I'll probably play it a bit more even though I have played the game to it's completion.
The soul fairy now has that indicator! Your sword will turn red when Angy as opposed to Grey for Vibin'
Thanks for letting me know
Very good even if I'm not a yuri fan. The play loop is fun, I like how each different fairy has their own combat style so replaying the game three times for the ending wasn't boring. I also liked how the title screen updates, something that clued me in to making sure to complete each route. The art is cute and the fairies got very big, and do I detect a slight inspiration from the Legend of Zelda to the fairy design? All in all a project that I give high marks to.
If you decide to revisit the game in the future, I think it'd be fairly (heh) cool if the upgrades you pick were reflected on the MC during play, kind of like Risk of Rain 2, and maybe getting the ending unlocks a sort of endless mode where the mc is sporting her newest addition and her new GF replaces the maid upgrade.
Beautiful, and you got me in the ending.
