After months of working, today we are very excited to announce the release of The Platform, a futuristic low poly survival game, where everything happens on a platform, somewhere high above the skies.

Your purpose in this strange and unknown world is to survive as much as possible, collect resources and use them to turn your small platform into a huge and imposing base. Put your imagination and creativity at work, and build something unique, using different structures and buildings, and don't forget, not even the sky is the limit for what you can do in The Platform!

Features:

● Gather resources! Use the grappler to catch resources falling from the sky!

● Craft! Make tools, buildings and more to help you survive!

● Build! Extend your small platform into a huge, imposing base!

● Survive! Feed, hydrate and keep an eye opened all the time or something bad might happen!

In case you like what you just read, we would really appreciate if you would also try our game: https://michaeld3v.itch.io/the-platform

Thanks for the feedback! The grappler is not aiming towards mouse cursor (I just forgot to disable it), it is aiming towards the center of the screen (towards the dot)

Here you can post any ideas you have to improve the grappling mechanic.

Share with us what do you think about this mechanic. Do you like it? How engaged and satisfied did you feel while playing?

This is a prototype made with the purpose of testing a base mechanic in my upcoming survival game "The Platform" that will be released soon.

Please provide feedback, tell us how you enjoyed this mechanic and feel free to share with us any suggestions you have.

It was free. And anyway even when it is on a price it also has a 100% discount. So basically the game is free all the time. I do this scheme to boost the itch algorithm

What bonus and for what?

Sorry but I can't understand what it says there. If you mean you didn't keep the game after sale don't worry. You can go and download it free again since now it is free.

Well unfortunatelly I stopped developing this game but now I am working on another low poly survival game that should have some similarities. The project is public on github:https://github.com/Mihai-Razvan/The-Lost-World-Unity if anyone is interested, but the problem is the code is very bad and kinda makes no sense (since it was my first programming project so had no idea what I was doing) and I don t know if someone will be able what is going on in that code

when you download the game there is a notepad where it says the commands

Hi. Unfortunatelly I got banned on discord. I stopped working on the project because I had to focus on an exam I will have in a few weeks. I don t know if I will come back to the project in the future but everything is possible

Version 1.02

  • Added new Limited Time resource "Spooky Pumpkin": can be found on the forest islands
  • Added new building "Cooking Pot"
  • Added new consumable "Pumpkin Pie": can be cooked in the "Cooking Pot"
  • "Bee bait" is no longer crafted in the crafting menu. Now it can be cooked in the "Cooking Pot"
  • Changed the colors indicating if a building can be placed or not to be more transparent
  • Fixed several item description mistakes

Version 1.01

  • Added Sound Settings
  • "Waste Battery" no longer requires iron ores to be crafted
  • Increased the "Waste Battery" charge to 45 seconds from 30 seconds
  • Increased the "High Conductive Battery" charge to 120 seconds from 90 seconds
  • Reduced the "Sap Extractor" production time to 60 seconds from 90 seconds
  • Fixed a bug that caused an item to be lost if it was taken from an inventory slot and put in the same inventory slot

Maybe

Hi! The game is saved in the Registery, but anyway the save is deleted when you die.

Nope, there is no cheat

They follow you and don't attack you when you collect apples etc.In the future they will also protect you. Anyway I don t recommend taming for now because there is a bug where tamed bees disappear after closing and loading the game

Thanks for the report! We are already aware of this bug and will be fixed in the next version of the game!

For now in order to avoid this bug try to not drop an item over its item slot

Hi! Some of the snow islands have an ice peak on top of them (there is a random chance to be spawned and I am pretty sure you will recognise it when you will see one). Inside the ice peak there is a cave that contains valuable materials (copper ore, crystal, silicon, rich iron ore). The entrance in the cave is basically a hole in  this peak, so just go around it until you find it and then use a jetpack becuse it is  above the ground level)

To get the cactus chunk you need to place a "Sap extractor"(can be crafted in the crafting menu) on a cactus. The sap extractor will be red until it is very close to a cactus, and when it becomes green you will be able to place it

Then it produces a cactus chunk every 1:30 minutes and you need to collect them

Hope this will help you:)

Thanks for the report! We are already aware of this bug and will be fixed in the next version of the game!

We are pround to announce the launch of the prototype version for The Lost World, a minimalist low-poly survival game taking place on an unknow planet, with no water or land, but only some strange floating islands.

You need to explore these islands to gather the resources required to survive, but be very careful, because dangers are all around you!

Hi and thanks for the feedback!

This protitype version was made to see how people react to the general idea of the game, so I wasn't focused on polishing every aspect.

I decided not to use shadows, ambient oclusion etc because the game is not very well optimised and since there isn't an option to change the graphics setting yet it might cause lag on lower computers.

In the right of the inventory there are 2 buttons to change between inventory and crafting:)

When your health is under 20 you hear a heartbeat but I will probably add a sound effect in the future evert time you lose health.

I know the jump is kinda buggy now but it will get fixed. It says in the ReadMe.text file how to control the jetpack:)

The bees will get improved in the future, and yeah they stop following you after a while

I agree jumping is kinda bad now but it will be improved in a future update. The walking is indeed slow but I think running is ok. Anyway I will see what other people say and eventually change the speed

Thanks for the feedback! How would you suggest improving the controls? You said the movement is slow. You are talking about the movement in general or a specific kind of movement (normal movement, running, flying with the jetpack) ?
