OMG YESSS, another fellow Helios enjoyer!! I’m so glad you love him, sylsalto <33 He’s honestly my second favorite, after Shyloh, of course ;) and trust me— I’ve got SO much to share with you about his route, AHHHH, you’re in for such a treat!

You’re already on the right track with your sympathy for him because trust me, you’ll understand him in ways you didn’t expect, even when he’s doing some of his worst stuff. Like, he’s morally gray, messed up, and honestly, that’s exactly why he’s so compelling. You can’t help but want to peel back those layers and understand the why behind his actions.

Just a quick heads-up— save files from demos don’t usually carry over to the full release, so you’ll probably need to start fresh with new save slots once the full version drops.

As for the NSFW scenes, it’s a mix of both the initiations and the actions you take part in. Like, whether things get more touchy-feely or move to the next level, even the dialogue shifts to match the vibe.

Wow, filling up all the save slots? Honestly, that’s an achievement in itself— props to you for that Jasmine ^^

If you ever want to delete saves one at a time, just hover your mouse over the slot you want to delete and hit the Delete key on your keyboard. Need to clear out a bunch at once? You can do a mass delete by going to: Local Disk (C:) > Users > [YourUsername] > AppData > Roaming > RenPy

Look for the folder with Chromatic Agape’s name, and you’ll find all the save files there. From that point, you can select and delete them in bulk.

About the dom/sub toggle— this only affects the NSFW scene! It’ll determine whether you’re the one initiating the sexual activities. When the time comes, you’ll get a little prompt like (in Rosario’s route):

“Do you want me to spoil you?” — this puts you in the sub role.

“Do you want to spoil me?” — this puts you in the dom role.

And that’s it~ Let me know if you have any more questions!

Tbh, the variations can get pretty lengthy. For instance, we’ve got three sexes in the game—female, male, and intersex—so right off the bat, that’s already three variations. Then we add dominant and submissive roles, which brings us to six variations. There are even more factors (with dialogue choices, and give/take dynamics, etc…) to consider and it all starts to add up pretty quickly. I’m kind of on the fence about it and even thinking about cutting some stuff to keep it from getting too long—but I’ll see what the editor thinks before making any final calls!

Haha, yes, the flamethrower idea came from a YouTube comment on one of the CA playthroughs, and I just had to add it in for the PEOPLE (though you won’t actually be able to use it, sorry lol). But can you guess which pixie would absolutely love a flamethrower?

I’m so excited to see your fanart whenever you’re ready, but seriously, don’t stress about it! Take your time—I’ll be waiting patiently, no rush at all!

And those posts you made on Bluesky/Itch are going to be like a fun little time capsule for when you play the full release and come back and go, “OMG, this was right, this was wrong!” I can’t wait to see your reactions!

Yandere Jam is an event on Itch (like Nano and Otome Jam), and it usually happens from the end of January to March, so I’m hoping to release the patch during that time. (Completely Random- But, I improved the quality of the pixie image -you know, the one where everyone’s on screen during the first meeting- and it looks SO crisp now! It took a whole day of programming, but it was so worth it for all those extra pixels.)

And yay, I hope you enjoy the character cards when I release them! I’m thinking of doing Rosario next, but we’ll see~~

Ooo, in Ending 1, there are two tracks! The first one you hear at the start is called "The Edge of Reluctance" by Moximog, and the one near the end, right before the final lines, is "Unraveling Doom" by Bismii.

As for the hand, that’s actually Rosario’s hand, not Sev’s! And yes, the light and butterflies are packed with both symbolism/aesthetics. If you take a closer look, you’ll notice how it differs from the other hallucination CG— that might be a little clue for you!

Right now, the game is in its demo stage, so there are only two endings available (Ending 1 and Ending 2). Because of that, I think writing a separate tutorial for them might not be super helpful just yet. But don’t worry— once the full release is out, there will be plenty more endings to discover ^^

As for Kai, we spent a lot of time perfecting him (last character to be designed), so I really doted on him a lot at the start (and honestly, I still do). But writing for him makes me so emotional LOL I have such a soft spot for characters who struggle to express themselves. But then again... I also have a soft spot for characters who overly express themselves like Shyloh FJHGFJSGJSGFJSGF

I’m gonna need a ton of luck juggling both programming and editing—our numbers are low in both those areas, so I might end up doing a recruitment call to bring in some fresh faces soon. Anyway, yeah, I added two more Sev endings— hopefully that’s all for her. Don’t want to go overboard with the killing spree LOL

As for my personal faves (aside from Shyloh), it’d have to be the actual golden pixie too. I absolutely freaking looooove Helios ♥‿♥ he’s such a clever little manipulator, and writing his character is honestly a blast, since I need to use more brain juice (In general, I think I squeezed out everything in my brain working on the CA script). Plus, I get to whip out the dictionary and learn new words, haha. Kai used to be one of my faves, but after working on his route, my heart can’t quite handle it anymore T~T Now it’s more of a bittersweet affection.

Oh man, fuck me, what did I get myself into with 20-ish endings?! XD (I might've added another Sev death ending... oops, my bad.)

As for your question, Rosario's snake-like traits mostly come from his artistic design/character sheet— I just really wanted a character with a slit tongue (makes the kissing scene extra spicy). Then I figured, why not take it up a notch, especially since he can shapeshift~ It also ties in with the medicine thematics, and, well... snake oil solutions that he offers when he's really just up to his own tricks. Oh, and not gonna lie, I also really wanted to throw in a hemipenis LOL

Kai’s skin tone plays a really significant role in his storyline. I’m super curious to hear what you think it might be! (It’ll help me see if the twist catches you off guard!) As for the insects… I can’t give too much away, but they’re both symbolic and a source of horror~ (and it's gonna be torture to program because of the on/off toggle for it T~T)

You're totes right Jasmine! Remember how last time you mentioned the lotus flower? Well, that's a key symbol in both Hinduism and Buddhism. The rest of his outfits also take a similar direction.

You can also see it in the open chest design since in both religions, the chest area is closely associated with the heart, which is symbolic of spiritual growth, compassion, and wisdom, also known as an embodiment of divine love and compassion (we also really wanted to showcase the tattoos LOL)

Our art director was the person who did his character design so a lot of thought went it it, hehe~~

As for the fertility thing, it’s still open-ended, but if I make it canon, I can totally see Rosario just telling Merka to give him a vasectomy or something XDD

You got it! The idea was for both of them to have contrasting approaches to Sev, kind of like a “hot and cold” dynamic. Rosario would be the darker persona (like sexually assaulting her), while Floreta would be the lighter persona, trying to comfort her with aftercare, which would just confuse Sev even more. But honestly, I was really unsure if I could pull it off, since I only had one VN-writing experience under my belt. I kept wondering if I could properly portray such a delicate mental issue, so I kind of chickened out, haha. But I’m hoping Rosario’s current character can capture both their personalities in a similar way ^^

Interesting fact, I actually considered writing down DID (Dissociative identity disorder) for Rosario in my earlier drafts! I’d planned for his dual personality to be called ‘Floreta’— one side would be super flirty, and the other would be really prudish, which would leave him conflicted about his emotions. But, I ended up scrapping the idea in the end LOL

You learned how to use the spoiler tag?! OMG, I still haven’t figured it out myself— you’ve got to teach me! Also, congrats, Jasmine~ I love the new name, by the way. <33

Okay, so I’ll try to avoid spoilers as much as possible, but here’s the gist: Kai did something in the past (back when he was the leader) that turned him into an outcast. Because of this, nobody really cares what he does as long as he stays out of their way. Oh, and unrelated side note: I tweaked his dialogue with Helios a bit to make Helios seem less suspicious to new readers. I felt like I was overemphasizing how much Helios looks down on Kai, so I toned it down a little.

Anyway, Kai is helping Sev because he wants something from her. (Spoiler alert—  I can’t go into details yet!) For the first event, where the fake Shyloh (shapeshifted Rosario) attacks Sev, it’s actually part of their plan. They’re trying to make Sev believe it’s really Shyloh to give her a false impression of him.

As for the second event, that’s more Kai-driven. The veil he gives Sev helps reduce her pain (or maybe it’s just a placebo effect, like covering up a wound... who knows?) The other pixies don’t really care about this because, from their perspective, she’s going to die anyway, and they’ll get her pure life essence regardless.

Now, about Shyloh and Helios’s choking scene: Helios hadn’t given Shyloh the signal yet (he even explains this to Sev when she asks about it). The whole ploy was to paint Shyloh as the bad guy, and if the others intervened, it wouldn’t have had the same impact. Similarly, with Rosario, they didn’t care about her actions as long as the end goal—Sev’s death—was achieved.

Ultimately, Helios doesn’t think much of Kai because of something Kai did in the past. This event still affects him and his interactions with the others. Even Kai’s effort with the veil doesn’t change much in the end because Sev still dies. That’s kind of the theme with Kai’s arc; his good intentions don’t always change the outcome.

In terms of intentions, they’re split: in the first incident with the veil, he’s aligned with the pixies because he wants something from Sev (and no, it’s not Ehsas like the others want). In the second incident with the pixie's ending, his actions seem well-meaning, but whether or not he succeeds in getting what he wants is left ambiguous; it’s something tied to his route.

Hope that cleared things up a bit more! By the way, do you think the whole veil situation is a little confusing? If so, I could look into clarifying the demo text to make it easier to follow.

OMG haha, sadly I’ve gotta make our MC stink for now— being the embodiment of despair comes with some... aromatic downsides XD As for the kebab grill... now I'm feeling hungry LOL time to cook with the script (dad jokes 101)

As for Merka, he’s all for the grass-eating survival idea too, he’s just a bit too jelly he didn't think about it first, classic tsundere energy XD
Also, fun fact: there is some burning involved in one of the routes... I won’t spoil whether it’s a thing or a someone— but let’s just say, things get fiery ^^

You're the creator of the realm— you don’t have anyone to pray to! XD But I love the "eat grass" idea, so I’ll definitely add it to the script (fingers crossed the editor keeps it in, LOL). Honestly, Shyloh would probably just wreck the entire world of the painting rather than let you go. That guy’s a total psycho (I wonder who made him that way...)

Merka "Haha, you think eating grass is gonna solve your problems?"
Sev "Yes."
Merka "Oh yeah? What’s next, hugging trees to fix your love life?"
Sev "Actually, the tree said to cut out toxic people. So… byeeee."

Hiya Hehe, glad to read your comments once again! Do excuse the late reply, I usually try to respond to your questions as quick as I can but it's been quite the... emotionally straining week for VN development.

For the domains, they're all based on the character's personas/interests/archetypes/etc... Like you said, it wouldn't make sense to have Yulen running in a field of flowers XD However, it may have something to do with his tools (HINT: there are some clues in his duo dialogue with Adonis). Some of the pixies have interior-esque domains, while others are set on the outside, with one pixie having the best of both worlds (not gonna spoil who LOL)

As for Shyloh, I can't discriminate against the poor baby, he also has his own domain BUUUUUT... let's just say it's a tad different than the rest *eye stare emoji*

Also, I gotta ask, what kind of escape plans do you have in mind? Super curious~~
