For the domains, they're all based on the character's personas/interests/archetypes/etc... Like you said, it wouldn't make sense to have Yulen running in a field of flowers XD However, it may have something to do with his tools (HINT: there are some clues in his duo dialogue with Adonis). Some of the pixies have interior-esque domains, while others are set on the outside, with one pixie having the best of both worlds (not gonna spoil who LOL)

As for Shyloh, I can't discriminate against the poor baby, he also has his own domain BUUUUUT... let's just say it's a tad different than the rest *eye stare emoji*

Also, I gotta ask, what kind of escape plans do you have in mind? Super curious~~

Ooooh, now I get what you mean! And I have to say, the tables are awesome btw! ^^ Yep, it's gonna be scenario 2—Sev’s definitely gone for good in the bad endings, no coming back from that HAH!

The story will pick up right where the demo ends, with Shyloh saving you, followed by some extra scenes, then point calculations, and finally, you’ll fall into one of the character routes~~ 

I'm staying quiet for now, but the redheaded leather jacket wearer does have a thing or two for when you resist him~ Just be careful not to push his buttons too much XD Also, I gotta admit, I’m not quite sure what you meant by the comment about the endings/story progression. Could you clarify?

On the same note, the endings for certain characters might change depending on how the editing goes! For example, one character could have 1 bad, 1 neutral, and 1 good ending, or maybe just 2 bad and 1 neutral— it's still a bit up in the air (cause some of them, based on their routes, don't deserve a good ending ngl). But hey, everyone’s guaranteed to have at least one bad ending LOL equality at its finest.

Oh-ma-gawwwd, yeeees I love the idea of making the player work a little harder to get to know the characters— it makes each choice feel way more meaningful! One fun twist I’m planning is to have certain characters respond in unexpected ways— so if you pick what seems like the "nice" or "correct" option (like helping them or being friendly), it might actually lead to their bad ending. You’ll need to understand each character’s mindset to get the best results~~

As for the Winx inspiration— yes! That’s exactly where the whole fairy/pixie idea came from ^^ I feel like that show was such a big part of our childhoods. I even got the name 'Helios' from 'Helia' in the show, since he was one of my favorites (though his personality is totally different here, haha XDD). I had to separate them to keep things fresh!

Hey there, Hehe~ To answer your question, you'll unlock a character's route based on the points you earn in the common route. I decided not to have the player select directly because I feel like it would take away from the impact of the earlier choices. Plus, it adds a bit of extra dramaaaaa! XD

Oh wow, that was such a quick response—also thank you for the fabulous rating, Val! <33 I’m so happy to meet another Helios fan! Honestly, he’s such a beloved character for me too, so we reallyyyy went all out with his motifs (and the pompous way of speaking LOL) ^^ His route is one of my absolute favorites, so I hope you get to it as much as I do XD

As for Shyloh, gotta admit I'm biased towards him the most, so it’s awesome to hear he’s growing on you too! (Especially since he got the highest CG count FJHSFFJGSJGFSJG)

Currently, there are two bad endings for Sev. There's also the end of the demo where Shyloh saves you (this one isn't a game ending, just the end of the demo).

I can't imagine Adonis coughing/wheezing (but that would be a hilarious twist XD) I'd like to imagine his voice having that rough edge, hinting at vocal cord damage, but it gives off a seasoned vibe instead of sounding sickly (hopefully that makes sense LOL.)

As for Rosario, he really has a gift for adjusting his voice to match the moment— not in a camouflage-like way as with Merka, but more about connecting with others and meeting their emotional needs because he wants to love and be loved. When he’s looking to inspire, that mid-high ascending melody is perfect for uplifting his listener. On the other hand, when he needs to be more critical, a descending tone from high-mid adds a nice touch of disappointment. And during flirtatious or NSFW moments, his sultry mid-deep voice brings a warm intimacy while still keeping that sweet melodic quality~~

I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned adding VO in comments before, but just to clarify, I don’t think I’ll be including them. I had a negative experience with a VO director on my first project, which led to me handling everything on my own and caused a lot of stress T~T So, unless a team member really persuades me, I’m likely going to skip VO!

As for their voices (cue long rant)~

Shyloh: I imagine him with a deep yet mild voice. He speaks gently to Sev, but when addressing the other pixies, his tone shifts to a gritty growl, revealing his more aggressive side. There’s a hint of despair in his voice, as if he’s on the verge of fading away. Years of begging and praying have taken their toll on him.

Yulen: He’s the lighthearted jokester, so I picture him with an airy, loud tone (maybe even a hint of a drawl-like accent.) His exaggerated expressions and animated hand movements would make his voice really pop.

Helios: He’d have a formal tone, clearly enunciating his words since he never uses contractions (like saying "I am" instead of "I’m"). His voice would be mid-range but would drop deeper when he gets serious, adding an element of intimidation.

Merka: As the annoying brat of the group, he’d have a loud, shrill voice, always bubbling with frustration. His erratic body language matches his tone, and while he’s a master of camouflage and can mimic others, he intentionally refrains from doing so around fellow pixies to ensure he stands out.

Kai: He’d be the quietest, with a deep, melancholic voice that feels soothing, almost like a lullaby. His speech would be slow and calming (ideal for ASMR LOL), though sometimes his voice might get muffled under his veil, requiring listeners to strain to catch his words.

Adonis: He’d likely have an airy accent, contrasting with his rugged appearance. Years of smoking have affected his vocal cords after all. He uses a stern tone to assert his authority, but for added drama, he might lean in close and whisper “good [girl/boy/kid]” in your ear to gauge your reaction.

Rosario: He’d have a melodic accent, stretching his words to make them sound sweeter and more inviting. His sentences would have an ascending or cascading intonation, designed to capture attention and linger in memory. He’d coo softly, ensuring his voice resonates with those he speaks to.

Soooo bascially, omegaverse (Alpha/Beta/Omega [ABO]) is a storytelling setting that's become super popular in mangas/manhwas lately. It features characters as omegas, betas, or alphas. There are also subcategories for the omega and alpha roles, like submissive and dominant, plus a "switch" option where characters can change their traits. My friend and I were chatting about an ABO visual novel that we both played, and that got me thinking about it, haha!

Now as to how they would do in the setting and which trait they'd have... that could be a major spoiler XD but I can safely say that Merka would definitely be a Beta! LOL

About Bad Ending 1 and Rosario, there’s actually a simple reason behind it. The eye glow is part of his 'yandere' expression (each pixie has their own unique one), hence the change before he did the deed. And as for your comment about the powers: each pixie only has a single power, so for Rosario, that’s shape-shifting (he can’t have everything, haha! XD).

For Sev's response, I felt the freezing fit the scene better since she lost the will to fight after half-blinding Adonis but still couldn’t get away. Also, in case anyone was self-inserting as the MC, the scene wouldn't get too uncomfortable (had they chosen to see the sexual scenes.)

Exactly! I’ve played so many games rooted in Christian and Greco-Roman themes that they started feeling a bit repetitive after a while. But I get why developers stick to familiar territory; introducing too many new themes all at once can be overwhelming. That’s why I chose a mix of influences for the game. I grew up surrounded by religious ideas, though I’m not as connected to them now. This inspired me to blend a variety of elements—everything and nothing all at once—so that it stays rooted in the world of the painting while hinting at different aspects of various religions.

SWANA literature often doesn’t get the attention it deserves, especially in English translations, where much of the poetic beauty can be lost. That makes it harder to weave into mainstream media, but I’m hoping the pixies will help bridge that gap! XD

To answer your next question, here’s a bit of background: there are the 'Eight Thoughts' (which were precursors to St. Gregory the Great's seven deadly sins). They include 1. Avarice, 2. Gluttony, 3. Lust, 4. Sloth, 5. Despair, 6. Anger, 7. Vainglory, and 8. Pride. The traditional seven deadly sins are: 1. Lust, 2. Gluttony, 3. Greed, 4. Sloth, 5. Wrath, 6. Envy, and 7. Pride. You’ll notice that ‘Despair’ is the extra one here, which I wanted to tie to Sev—this is also known as ‘Naomidi,’ as Kai calls it.

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1992), sloth is described as a “culpable lack of physical or spiritual effort,” which connects to Kais' future route (hence the confusion from the demo). Think of it this way: his melancholy is more of a symptom than the root cause.

As for the seven stages of love, we have: 1. Dilkashi (attraction), 2. Uns (attachment), 3. Ishq (love), 4. Akidat (trust/reverence), 5. Ibadat (worship), 6. Junoon (madness), and 7. Maut (death). Can you guess which one Sev represents? Hint: her name is the Turkish verb for one of these stages!

Annnnd for your final question,  I actually never fully linked the stages to the characters since they were developed after the game’s philosophy was set. But it’s something fun to think about for when the game is released! (This reminds me of when a friend once asked me how I’d imagine the characters in an omegaverse world, I have an entire list + analysis for that FSHGFJHSGJFSH).

As for your first question, that’s a tough one! Depending on how the edits turn out, it could end up being a hidden gem that people discover later, or it might stay subtle and fly under the radar. It’s really up in the air ;;

Now, about the wings and their meanings: in general, they’re a symbol of each character’s freedom and their ability to act on their desires. But there are exceptions! For example, Shyloh’s wings are designed to look “weighed down,” showing the limitations and challenges that hold him back. This theme will be explored more during his route. Sev, on the other hand, doesn’t have wings at all, which is an even stronger statement. It represents a complete lack of freedom and makes her a symbol of feeling trapped.
Each character’s wings tell their own story too~ For example, Yulen, the Hero of Wrath, has Goliathus Beetle wings to show his strength and resilience. There’s a unique winged creature behind each pixie’s wings, so it’s definitely something fun to look into if you’re interested!

Also, FJHSGJFGSJSGJ I GENUINLY CANNOT BELIEVE YOU GOT THE REF WITH HAFT PEYKAR. That's a scary level of attention to detail and research, I legit have goosebumps and I absolutely love it—even the team didn’t spot that one, so huge kudos to you Hehe!! It was an epic that inspired me during the drafting phase since, at that time, I was also researching the 7 stages of love from Sufi traditions, which inspired some of Nizami’s work (though, I eventually decided to go with the Eastern Monastic Tradition, the precursor to the Western concept of the seven deadly sins which includes the "Eight Thoughts," as outlined by Evagrius Ponticus and later discussed in the Philokalia.)

Fun fact (and do excuse me if I’ve mentioned this before lol): Sev’s name actually ties into one of the seven stages of love from Sufi tradition.

Yeeeees, I really dove into a lot of details with this script, which is why it took longer than the other assets. I truly hope it shines through in the full release! T~T I just wanted everything to have a special meaning, but I totally understand if some people were just looking for the yandere vibes and not as much of the fantasy and character lore XD

As for the Greek themes, yes! They’re woven right into the character’s personality! I didn’t really promote them much in the game because I thought it might get a bit complicated with all the other concepts (like 'Ehsas' and its subtypes), so you’ll mainly see them on the Itch page and in some subtle mentions within the game.

As for the NSFW components, I really hope you'll enjoy them! Writing different sentences for different anatomy types and top/bottom prefs has been quite the adventure, haha!

Absolutely! Merka’s insecurities are a big part of his route, especially since his love theme centers on philia, and he’s the hero associated with envy. For example, you can see the 'hero' thematics play out in his interactions with Rosario, where they show off their wings. Additionally, his height complex can make him get pretty fussy + when others treat him like a brat—which fits right in with philia’s need for friendship or brotherly love.

Yulen, on the other hand, is much more direct. His love theme of mania drives him to pursue what he wants with an intense focus, which can make him a little extreme, especially as the hero of wrath. Unlike Shyloh’s clinginess, Yulen’s approach is about total commitment—mind, body, and soul. And when it comes to things beyond his control, like height, he might use others (like Merka) as a teasing point to feel just a touch superior/competitive. (Could the pixie's height hint at something deeper? Just a clue for you!)

Are they the most violent of all? Hmmm... I can think of two possible characters who maaaay be more intense but... that would be super spoiler territory LOL

On the production side, life can definitely throw a few unexpected twists our way, but we’re in good shape! Most art/music assets are ready, and now we’re focused on script edits and programming.

And for Rosario, as the hero of lust, his shapeshifting ability allows his anatomy to switch between coiling and standing parallel (hemipenes are still there XD). In the bad ending, we went with the coiling option to keep things simple. For those choosing female or intersex anatomy, there will also be a prompt during said NSFW scenes to select options like anal or vaginal, so players can tailor the experience!

About Merka: the reason he might come across as shorter than his actual height has a lot to do with the dynamics around him. Yulen calls him "green runt," and since Merka and Rosario—one of the taller characters—are always together, that contrast really stands out (and maybe Yulen’s hiding his own height complex, given how much he loves boasting about being the strongest and fastest!). And then there’s Adonis, who keeps calling him a child—no wonder they're all testing his patience LOL
Helios may just be the only one by his side...

On the customization front, it's a bit of a mixed bag. We initially planned for more options—like makeup, hairstyles, and additional eye and hair colors—but some of our artists have moved on to new projects. So, while I can’t make promises, I’ll definitely share your ideas with the team!

Rosario has hemipenes! With two options, you can imagine how things might play out depending on the character’s sex choice from the initial customization. And who knows? Maybe there's been a hidden caduceus reference from the start, given that he’s the only character with an animal motif… ^^

From shortest to tallest, the order is:

  • Merka (Green) - 170 cm ~ 5.5 feet
  • Yulen (Red) - 178 cm ~ 5.8 feet
  • Adonis (Purple) - 181 cm ~ 5.9 feet
  • Rosario (Pink) / Helios (Yellow)- 183 cm ~ 6.0 feet
  • Kai (Blue) - 187 cm ~ 6.1 feet
  • Shyloh (Black/White) - 192 cm ~ 6.3 feet

The line (in the demo) about Sev being a similar height to Merka is a little hint for something coming up in his route!
Fun fact: I was this close to making Shyloh even taller (can you tell I’m biased? XD), but his hair would’ve been flying out of frame like crazy, so I had to let that dream go T~T 

The main focus of the game is actually on Persian elements more than Turkic ones. I mostly used Turkic inspiration for naming things (like Sev, Merka, Yulen), but the lore itself—like the Ehsas and their subtypes—is more Persian-focused. A lot of those elements are also common in Urdu too. The love types are rooted in Greek mythology, so there's a lot going on! ^^ It was definitely a challenge to balance all of them, haha XD But don’t worry—you won’t miss out on any game content if you’re not familiar with these languages. They’re more like fun easter eggs or little hints!

Heya there! So happy you're curious about their names ~ Time to drop some lore (and who doesn't love that for their characters? (≧◡≦) ♡)

The name "Merka" has a Turkic origin with some adjustments— It comes from the word "Merak," which means curiosity (something that pops up in his future route and was even hinted in the demo as to how he knew certain things about Sev) and desire (a little nod to his situationship with Rosario). It's also an anagram for 'Maker' (maybe related to his route... no spoilers though!)

As for "Yulen," he's actually an OC from a scrapped story idea (ah, the Wattpad era mafia stories XD). With a bit of tweaking, 'Yul' comes from 'Yulian,' which means youthful—hinting that he may or may not be the first one born in the painting (Adonis always loves to argue about that (¬‿¬). It also nods to the Turkic word "Yalan," which means lie, since Yulen insists he always tells the truth and nothing but the truth (or does he...?) I originally wanted to combine the two as 'Yul-lan,' but kept hearing 'Mulan' in my head for some reason, so I had to adjust it LOL

Bonus fun fact! I was actually considering naming him "Yalan," but I realized people might pronounce it as 'YAY-len' instead of 'YUH-lun,' so I scrapped that idea real quick XDD

As you mentioned, I aimed to create characters that embody moral complexity, diving into darker themes in the demo while leaving space for redemption in the full release. I'm thrilled that players like you have picked up on the good/bad dynamic, even with characters who seem virtuous at first! (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

Regarding your insights on grief, we’ll explore that more deeply in the full release, and you’re right on track! Sev's struggles with her trauma from her overbearing parents and the pressure to suppress "sinful" emotions like pride, envy, greed, etc...
She essentially has the power of a God within the painting, but her understanding is limited by her experiences, like when she used the propofol injection and scalpel instead of conjuring stronger weapons to wipe all the pixies. That’s why she must undergo a character evolution to unlock more of her power and understand the motives behind each species' actions.

As for the wings and animal features, each was carefully chosen and carries certain hidden symbolism. For instance, we selected the Goliathus Beetle for Yulen, the Hero of Wrath, to embody strength and resilience. Initially, we thought about using a dragonfly for Kai, the Hero of Sloth, symbolizing change/rebirth, but we ultimately opted for mantis wings due to a pivotal moment in his route (avoiding spoilers, of course). So yes, these details are intentional, and I’m so glad you noticed them—congratulations on being one of the few to do so! (✧ω✧)

Your interpretation of Shyloh is spot on! I feel like adding too much might spoil future developments, but his title as the nameless pixie reflects Sev's struggle to accept him. While she remembers the names and behaviors of other pixies, Shyloh’s protective nature and affection for her remain an enigma she can’t quite grasp. It’s a fascinating dynamic to explore, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds! ✧(。•̀ᴗ-)✧

Ahhh, I’m so glad you love how I grasp the pixie personas (✿◠‿◠) Depending on the editing process, the TW tags might get a little tweak, but the core of each route is solid since they were confirmed during the story outline and the art/music distribution. If you’re curious, I can share a tiny hint I wrote for another comment!

As for the prologue choice, yes! Every choice in the demo is meant to build points with the pixies. That’s why I didn’t include an option to leave with Shyloh—I really wanted players to build points with the pixies! Everything is being calculated~

I’m also planning to add a few illusionary choices in the full release since some players were really excited about that, even if they don’t directly affect the routes and only lead to dialogue variations. I initially left them out due to time constraints, but now that we have a bit more time, I’m excited to include them for everyone’s enjoyment ^^
