Ah man, I didn't realize how bad the anchor were until I saw this. That'll be something to change!

This was a lot of fun. I love the 8-bit aesthetic. I do think that making the enemies take less hits would have added to it.

I also think that the distance you go when hit should be tweaked. It made the boss fight much more annoying to feel like I'd lost progress every time I wasn't able to dodge (which happened a lot, I died around 7 times on him).

I hope you keep working on it. It has potential!

I like the laser aiming idea. That could definitely fix that issue. I'll mess around with it first chance I get!

Thanks for the feedback! The cursor was a tough decision. If it was there, it became far too easy to aim, since all but one enemy is stationary. I'll try to think of a fix for the post jam version!

Ah, I see what you mean. The health bar did go away after that blast, so I assumed it was dead. Also, it wasn't the pillars I hid behind. The entry to the room has a section that can't be seen by the boss, so I would peek out, unload, and then hide again. I'll check out the updated version very soon!

Yeah, the negative keys were something I missed entirely. However, every chest can take both treasure and keys. We're going to work on a post-jam version with more features, more levels, and a more fleshed out story. Thanks for the feedback!

This game was a lot of fun...until the end.

Once I got to the reactor core, and finally got all the enemies killed, it turned to a repetitious bit of "shoot enemy, hide behind corner, wait for health to recharge, repeat." I feel that having some health pickups would have made that fight a lot more fun, as it would give the player something to move to. It was overall a solid game, it just lagged there in the end.

Also, I dunno if it's supposed to happen, but after I defeated the Alien, it kept attacking while I was trying to move to the next room. I don't know if that was supposed to happen, but I died on my way and had to redo that boss fight.

Good concept! I did notice, however, that in the second room, if you mistime your jump, and graze the side of a platform on  your way up, it registers it as a hit. This had me confused until I realized what was going on.

All in all, solid submission!
