Lovely graphics! I included it in my GameDevNetwork: Gooseberry Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Ah man, I didn't realize how bad the anchor were until I saw this. That'll be something to change!

+1 to show mouse cursor.

Another thing with controls is that left/right movement is swapped so when I press left it moves to the right side of the ship (when looking in the center which is the most common aim at this game) and the same with another side: when I press right, ship moves left.

A lot of labels on buttons don't fit in size and thus are not displayed.

The art is charming, (as always Moski :D) but as mentioned, needs to show some form of aiming, and the circular movement was a little hard to do as dodging bullets do not seem like a possibility sometimes. Couldn't make it very far as a result, but what I played was great fun!

Fun Game ! +1 for the need of an aim assist.

I really liked the variation in movement patterns and assets. I feel like you could have made the bullethell aspects more intense as a trade off to the better precision of a cursor, as I've seen you discuss in other comments. I also understand that sometimes balance is really the hardest part when it comes to a jam and you had a challenging yet rewarding little game in the end!

As a big bullet hell fan I'm digging how hectic it can get, though, one criticism is that there really needs to be an overlay for the cursor, when hidden it makes aiming much more frustrating. Great work, hope to see it carried on!

Thanks for the feedback! The cursor was a tough decision. If it was there, it became far too easy to aim, since all but one enemy is stationary. I'll try to think of a fix for the post jam version!

I wonder if it would be easier if there was a laser aiming line instead, so that you know which way the ship is pointing, or if the ship was longer, so you can tell which way it is pointing more easily. The ship is too round, making it more difficult to tell where it is facing.

Right now, a cursor makes sense because the ship is trying to point to where the mouse cursor would be, but removing that link would remove the need for a cursor. One way to make it more challenging without having a cursor, is to remove the mouse controls for aiming. Instead, use space bar for the fire button, and up/down to manually rotate the ship's aim clockwise/counterclockwise. Keep left and right for the orbit (as it is). Then have a little semi-transparent line extend from the front of the ship so you can see what direction it is aiming.

I like the laser aiming idea. That could definitely fix that issue. I'll mess around with it first chance I get!

Nice one ! :D
