This demo is great so far! I really like all the marble designs. I hope there's more "marble world building" in the full game, like they narration mention humans as things that exist elsewhere, and the fact that the Lillies are all from the same home country. Is a manufacture style sort of like an ethnic group? How are baby marbles made? Clarke gets seen by others as young and feminine and mentions it might have to do with the clearness of their glass. All very curious....

All the characters are great too. I like how Clarke's backstory is sprinkled into relevant scenes. Their relationship with Lilco is quite interesting!

I really like this!! The sassy wizard is great and exploring the house and the shop is really fun. I like the way the dialogue boxes are structured, although it took a little getting used to

Probably about ten years or so now, I tried to make a game in powerpoint. It wound up too big and kept crashing the program. You did a great job keeping it small enough that that's not an issue, and even had room for animations!

I really like your choice of pictures and the object head people you made! They're quite delightful!

Ms. Lucy and Arthur's perspectives on what makes a good life are pretty solid, and Lucy's in particular made me tear up a little, hehe.  Both neighbors are interesting characters and feel like pretty great people to spend the end of times hanging with

I think my current interpretation of the TV is that it represents Echo (and a lot of people)'s fears about what the end of the world will feel like. The fire and neighbor on neighbor slaughter are very "revelation" and I think I've heard of religions having floods in their final days too. Ragnarök seems to end with everything underwater...

So she holes up in the mysterious room, which continues to feed her more terrible predictions.

Meanwhile the gentle end, and beautiful lights, are something a bit more hopeful. Even though it's still the end, it's nice and you can be with your friends to see it. The fact that it's always the same, unlike the TV, seems to suggest that the narrative sees it as the "real" end of the world.  Maybe? I dunno

I do feel like the protagonist was primed by the neighbors to expect the end of the world to be nice, so maybe that has something to do with how they consistently see it was pretty and nice. Still, when Echo finally ("touches grass"haha) sees it herself outside the room, she seems to also confirm that it's similarly pleasant. Unless there's something in the air that's making them BOTH hallucinate pleasant things, and the TV was right all along!!!!

It's probably a mistake to try to find an "objective reality" in a weirdcore game anyway, ehehehe

I think the time loop function makes the message of the story more unclear. The protagonist all four endings says that they're going to keep repeating this infinitely. Maybe this represents how we're always not sure what day will be out last day, but the world keeps going regardless? Or maybe there's no metaphor to apply backwards to real life, and I should just enjoy this strange world where the end of the world happens forever and ever.

Thanks for this semi-spooky game to enjoy on Halloween!

true, that's also very possible. It would mean that Forcas is wrong in the test failed ending, but if he's only basing it on the protagonist's behavior then he would have no way of knowing

Wonderful game! I feel bad for all the background characters who didn't make it haha

Very very amused and wincing sympathetically at the fact that the game was built in the afternoon of the last day! It must have been a rush to finally submit it!

I quite like being a cyber skull. Thank you!

I'm hooked!! I love the characters and I'm a sucker for retellings of the phantom of the opera. Thank you for this demo

The art design and the design of the church is fantastic. I love the protagonist's big braids. The design of the puzzles was a little clunky, but I still enjoyed them!

(Spoiler talk below)

It's interesting to me that when you "fail the test", forcas seems to be addressing the wife's consciousness, and vice versa, when you "pass" the test, forcas seems to be speaking to the angel. If I'm understanding the story correctly, the wife tragically only gets to take control on the story path that leads to her mind being erased. She had a good heart after all, too good to survive... This is really cool!

Just realized you made an updated version too, wow! I'm looking forward to playing it. I also regret saying that it's not easy to parce facial expressions on the old art, because it actually is. Especially since there's very good body language.

Great work! I enjoyed this a lot. I appreciate the artwork being "set on stage", if that makes wording makes sense. Not as easy to parse facial expressions and connect to each character's personality, but it's a nice break of formula. It also made the backgrounds important beyond setting the mood, because characters interacted with them

Spooky game! It brings back a lot of instincts from when I was a kid playing dress up and makeover flash games. Getting each collectible is satisfying despite being horrifying too.

I love the ending! Not sure whether to interpret the protagonist's final actions as a result of guilt, a compulsion as a result of the effect from the item gained from the last monster, or that picking out the "flaws" of other monsters caused the protagonist to become aware of it's own "flaws". Or maybe this was the plan all along and every other monster was a means to an end to get here.

I like to imagine that somehow we had never seen a mirror before

thank you for your effort, 24 hours well spent 🧊

Best of luck! I'll be happy to see more from you

I really like to just sit and look at the ice cubes

Cute game! the X world and star sea world could both use some more color, or interesting textures. But I really like the character animations and the designs of the effects. I like the scene with the grandfather clock on the horizon, so pretty.   I am grateful for the opportunity to see your work.

I was so invested in the fate of that bird

It's cool!

The sand planet was an interesting contrast to the hot planet and the shattered one.  On the other planets, there's people to grieve, which makes the sadness make sense. But then on the sand planet, I'm sad too. It's not like anything's dying there, but it's still sad that something so beautiful doesn't exist anymore.

Hopefully that ramble isn't irritating haha. Great little game!

Beautiful art! I loved all the effects, especially her true leech form. It's fun to slither around.

Thanks for making such a nice bonus room! It was cool to learn about your concept art and the bumpy road of getting it to submission process. I hope your organs are fairing better now 0.0

REALLY wanted to see what was on the other side of the final wormhole.... but they'll find a new home and be okay

Really solid demo! I got chills at the choice of whether to drink the coffee or fake it. The art is really lovely too, it feels like living in a charcoal sketch

What are you supposed to do here? None of the buttons seem to do anything. Is the game finished?

This game rocks! My closest friend entrusted me with his copy of animal crossing when i moved away. I enjoyed it so much because of the memories of playing side by side, and eventually building my own town. I put it down for a few years and the cartridge rotted to the point that it couldnt be opened anymore. I hope my villagers are resting in peace somewhere with grampa capipara :(

Great demo! The puzzles are a little lacking so far, but I'm really interested in the story. Dreams are so fun to explore in games, because of that contrast of dreams and nightmares.

This is really good!! Exploring the different endings is a really good time. The sense of doom never lets up, but it does feel like we've accomplished something when the son is able to escape...

Enchanting! I wasn't familar with Hume Niset before this and loved this adaptation. Gorgeous artwork, particuarly the landscapes. Your depiction of Araidne is a great mix of cute and frightening :3

She's a keeper

off to an amazing start.I love that the glossary of terms is in the form of a search engine. Great world-building and commentary. Looking forward to the steam release!

Oh awesome!! Thanks so much ^.^

Poor Alice! Thanks for the awesome puzzles

Anybody know if the character artist mossinasi1 has another social media account? They seem to have left the twitter account linked in the credits

Extremely heartful and sad. I like how while Asrid's life is the main focus, and all the portraits center on her, the narrative paints an even more detailed portrait of the father. His constant anxiety about missing milestones and wanting every second to count is so earnest and relatable

It's like if flappy bird was a cross-stitch rug

The washi tape prints are so pretty and make the whole game soothign

I love the staggered shadows across the sprites in the big reveal scene. Very Very dramatic and cool. The story is fun too! A good amount of build-up the first two locations. Cleaning the rooms is relaxing despite everything

This is the first of your games that I think I've played! It's certainly short, but it didn't need to be any longer. The forest background is so pretty! The purple shadows fit the mood very well.

Based on how your afterword suggests that a happy interpretation is intended, I'm guessing that the black dog might be a spirit form of Mila, or came on Mila's behalf, to protect Hans and steer him out of the forest before nighttime. A nice day that he can carry with him, as long as he doesn't think about it too hard? It's sad seeing him just standing there talking to himself once the illusion is revealed... But I'm sure I'm still missing something!

Really nice ending :3

red balloon!

Super rad!! I love the song that plays in Helen's room, very droning, but then the trill adds excitement
