Heyyyy! Working on my submission, a tabletop game inspired by ネコワイ(dunno how to link to the cover itself!). The artist is a friend of mine and I have his permission. If I understand the rules above properly, it's just enough if I give him credit in the game, correct? Like, you don't need any other "proof" I guess? Thanks!

Hey everyone, happy to be here! I missed last year's bookmark jam but I wasn't going to make the same mistake again. I really love this concept! I have participated in many game jams this year: Having a prompt and a deadline help me spark my creativity, browsing through all the rough ideas that I pencil down when they come to my head. I like to make minimalist or solo games, mainly; you can check them on my page.

Here's my submission:  https://echoriver.itch.io/titivillus-is-hungry I wanted to make something that wasn't just "a game in a bookmark space", but which intertwines somehow with the act of reading.

It doesn't follow any of the proposed topics, but I may think of another game since we still have time. Merry Christmas btw!

This is amazing!!! As a person who only knows Twine and (a tiny bit of) Decker, thank you so much for this.

Thank you so much!

Is the jam open to TTRPGs? Like, a small game where you manage a tavern, or a supplement or whatnot.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for creating this tool, it's been really helpful for me on my first steps with Decker.

Thank you so much!!

I am vibing with the music! XD Very cute :)

Muchas gracias!!

This is fantastic, beautiful and bittersweet. Just what I needed these days. Thank you for making it!

This is fantastic! Short & sweet, clever, and definitely inspirational for other game designers (or aspiring like me, haha).

Hahaha, thank you, glad you like it :D

Thank you so so much for this!! You're the best.

I finally had time to check it (busy working week) and everything looks perfectly explained. I will try replicating it on my deck and see how it goes.

Ay, muchísimas gracias, me hacen mucha ilusión tus palabras.

Wow, thank you so much for this! I was in fact struggling with importing pics into my deck.

I used the tool but "stamp" doesn't seem to work for me, or maybe I'm understanding it wrong? Should the image appear in the deck like it was pasted?

(1 edit)

Thank you both! Regarding the links yep, the issue was that the text fields weren't locked :) Now they work.

I will try the script to make the field appear in intervals. And I saw just today this tool created by another jammer: https://lokeloski.itch.io/deckstamp I think this can be the answer to my prayers lol.

UPDATE: I did manage to export the images using the tool above, and then paste them with the script you shared, Millie Squilly. Thanks for the tip! I couldn't make sleep[] work though :( Not sure why, it seems like the deck reads the script but nothing happens. I double-checked the fields had the right name and stuff, and they were locked. They were plain text though, should it be rich or code?

This is my very first Decker project and I'm aware there are sooo many things that I could improve :D. If you have any feedback on technical stuff, I opened this thread asking for help: https://itch.io/t/3952269/my-very-first-decker-project-help-appreciated-

Hey there!

I discovered Decker some time ago and I fell in love immediately. I have made this small game to learn the basics of the tool: https://echoriver.itch.io/hit-the-drum I plan to submit it to the Summer Camp jam, although as said, it's very-very basic. My main problem is that I know nothing about coding, unfortunately. I tried reading the Lil documentation but truth be told, it's kinda like reading in Speranto for me. I guess my first question is... What are the chances of learning how to make something a bit more advanced with no prior knowledge of any programming language? Do you have any recommendations for someone as noob as me?

As for my project, there are a couple of things I tried and couldn't do:

- I wanted some images (the ones in cards 9 and 11) to use the 16-bit color palette, but I couldn't make it work in the listener. I tried to do it using following the steps here, but I got an error message saying: "Expected name, but found a symbol". Any idea on what could be wrong? (please forgive me if this is a stupid question, again... 100% noob speaking!).

- I added a link to a field on the last card; the text was formatted as "rich text" but the link is not working... I have no idea why :(

- I'd have liked to make the text fields in cards 4, 5 and 9 appear on screen consecutively, at intervals. I know this is possible because I've seen games doing this, but not sure if I have to use a specific contraption for this, or a script?

And besides this, I'll def appreciate any feedback on my project, and comments on how to make it prettier! :D Thanks in advance.

Thi is so cool, and I have already a solarpunk project in the works!

Is there any way we can submit to a newsletter or similar to get alerts when a new jam starts?

Are TTRPG games allowed?

Thank you!!

Hi! yes, I'm considering an English translation. Hope I can work on it soon! :)

Hi!

I usually write very little info on my games' descriptions. They are all free, so all the relevant information is at one click's distance :). However, I have added a couple of lines at the beginning of this to clarify a bit what it is about.

Cheers!

Thank you so much, Beth!! Your feedback means a lot to me, since I follow your work and adore it :) It's so inspirational.

Thank you so much <3 It has a personal meaning, I guess it's kinda obvious :)
