Fly, Granny, Fly!
I loved the art style and overall feel of the controls! The animations also really kicks this game up a level! I have played a few "dog-drags-human" games in this jam, and this is by far the most fun! Very nice job!

I'm the 100th rating you received :P
I love this game. From the art itself to the sound design and the gameplay. Instead of the timer decreasing, I like the fact it's actually increasing - this way, I got the chance to explore the world and appreciate the art you brought into the game. Speaking of the art, man, I love the art style. It's cute and the drawings are really clean. Very well polished in my opinion, good job!
Beautiful game! Game concept is great, one I admittedly even wanted to do myself. Gameplay is good, but goal not that clear. I thought it was weird that the timer was going up and not down. I don't know if there's a limited amount of targets, but its also weird that they count up rather than down. Game is hard too, which I think is part of the charm and intended. But its weird to have negative scores. It's a lot of feedback, but I think the game was great. even the rope physic was impressive. Good work!
Very endearing artwork and concept. The goal wasn't immediately clear and the hedge-collision detection failed to prevent me from crossing through (not sure if this was intentional, but i got stuck because my owner couldn't pass through the hedge). Also if the timer was counting down, i think it would be more clear that i was limited to 5 minutes. Very original concept though, I enjoyed myself!
I love the art for this game (so detailed and expressive!), and the well developed environment! It really felt like a lively park filled with people and pigeons! I felt really bad for the grandma. Running into people / stuff was inevitable, but luckily the game does not really punish you too hard for it, enabling a reckless play-style (which is in-character for a dog and fun). Great job with this! I'm impressed how polished this is.
This music? This art style? Paired together with fun gameplay? EXCELLENT work!
Amazingly cute game, I feel so bad for pulling on the grandma lol. I love the cut-out graphics. There's a lot of games with tug-and-leash mechanics, but this game is one of the better ones because of the setting behind it. It's a dog tugging its owner everywhere, so it just makes sense, and you don't have to give the player a tutorial or anything on how to play. For the soundtrack, I would have preferred some instrumentation with the drum loop, but that's just a personal preference thing.
I actually disagree with the comments saying that it's not hard enough. Not every game needs to be challenging, and this one works perfectly fine as a chill and relaxing game. I do, however, agree that the goal isn't clear. When I first played, I thought it was gonna be an endless type of game until I saw the gate. What I'd do is, when the game starts, have the camera over the gate first with an arrow pointing at it, then pan to the player. I'd also give the birds and the trash can a different color outline to indicate that they can be interacted with, or a border like with the fire hydrant. Everything has a white outline and also happens to be an obstacle, so having a yellow or red outline over the collectible objects would make them stand out more.
Great game overall. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it.
Oh you're totally right about the camera affect at the beginning of the game, it would solve so many problems ! We wanted to keep the game tutorial free as much as possible, but showing the target and make the camera travel through the level would be a great way to present the objective and help the player know where they should be going.
For the colored outline, I wanted that but the artists said otherwise, they wanted colors to be used only for the leash, which I understand. We'll work on that if we extend the game in the future, thank you for your comment !
Love the art style! (I might be biased because I did a similar thing in my game ;) The gameplay is really smooth and cute. It kind of reminds me of the game Speed Thrasher that I used to play a lot when I was young so this game just gave me warm fuzzy feelings. Really good interpretation of the theme and overall polished game. Good job! :)
Pretty visuals! Good job on the whole presentation, I'd like to know how you made that someday.
Also the two objects connected by leash mechanic is well executed and well polished, aside from the rope can get stuck a bit & I can breakthrough some wall and go beyond the level boundary, I am sure you can iron that out after this.
Really great work! Cant wait to see what you add to the game after this jam! :)
Thank you! For the graphical part (as I'm one of the art guy) : it's basically sprites that can cast shadows, with two frames of aniamtion. Rest is post process camera effects mainly, and lighting.
We don't know yet if this will be improved after the jam, but surely we'll be pleased to take part in next jams in the future :D
I think this one is my favorite of the jam so far, so cute and great fun. Well executed on all fronts!!
so cute. made it fun to torment the owner lol loved the art, the idea... just everything right down to the feel of the controls. cant wait for a level two ;)
Great work! The art is awesome. I wish I could draw like that. And its a really fun concept and a great take on the theme.
A couple other commenters said they didn't like that the rope gets stuck. But i liked it, it felt like realism. A couple times I wrapped myself around a pole like an actual dog would.
My opinion is that I would have enjoyed being able to knock more people over, but the way it is it's a good balance of destruction with difficulty.
I could imagine a future game-mode where you need to score as many points as possible until grandma catches up with you or catches her balance. You'd have to learn to really bounce her around to keep up the combo haha
Very cute game, and absolutley gorgeous art! Sometimes the rope gets stuck a bit, but otherwise its really good.
This is a hilarious concept and take on the theme, a fair bit of fun, but, man it is the presentation that shines, especially the graphics, I'd love to see more stuff with these kinds of graphics, it's just such a fun and compelling style! The physics are definitely a bit janky and it's easy to get stuck on things, but, it almost doesn't even matter, it's just a joy. Great work!
Also the "GuilloTeam" what an incredible pun, respect.
