Hi, thanks for playing our little game.

For context, this game was made in 48 hours for the Global Game Jam. The theme was “Make Me Laugh”. I got the impression we made you at least chuckle (along with questioning your life choices :D). So I count that as a win.

(1 edit)

I got it, thanks. :D

I tried redownloading it, playing it again and the issues persist on 0.2.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop
RAM: 16GB
OP: Windows 11 Home, v. 22H2
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Are you sure, the versions are labeled correctly? The 0.1 has “settings” button. 0.2 has not. And 0.1 works completely fine.

Now this is a fun game. :D Got to the end. I don’t know if it’s intended, but Branik did not actually double the platforms. It only gave me the visual. Which is pretty funny, because it basically made me drunk and screwed me over. :D

Nice game. I was intrigued by what happened in that world. There was some nice visual storytelling with closed down buildings, cobwebs, etc. The music tied to reality is also a nice touch. And tutorial (controls) written on the level itself in the beginning was very much appreciated.

The puzzle elements were fun. I enjoyed switching realities in mid jump to get higher. However, I did not manage to get all the stars. That damn star on the second floor. T_T

I did not know which “edition” to play, so I played both. But the “0.2” edition seems to be bugged for me. I cannot move, when my velocity is 0. In other words, WASD does not respond unless I jump first. It’s a bit misleading that 0.1 seems to be the newer one. :D

This is a great game. I love, how it transforms the same puzzle into a different one just based on your alignment. The only thing missing for me, was a different aesthetic for the doomslayer mode. After trying out the pacifist route, I hoped that doomslayer will give me red hair and “BFG division” starts playing. :D

The checkpoints were confusing, but that has already been addressed. The doomslayer route was a lot easier than the pacifist route, which is to be expected. It reminds me of some stealth games, where you can go quietly or loud. One interesting thing is, I instinctively hid from sight at the beginning, as I thought enemies would run at me when they saw me. But I quickly discovered that is not the case.

Heh, thanks for letting me know that I was indeed not crazy. :D

I got 37 imposters. It was surprisingly engaging for me. The shriek fits nicely with the atmosphere. I would love to see more “disguises” that have a tell that fits in such a way. Looking for naked people made me chuckle though. Did you use MonoGame framework for this?

I like the theme and the art. Nice job! I’d say it’s more of a vision, then a prototype or a proof of concept. Jumping felt a little clumsy, as I was getting stuck on the geometry. I recommend checking this out, if you have not done so already. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWi0jgghGcI

Just a cute, simple, satisfying artistic experience. You nailed it.

Amazing what one can do with a simple, elegant mechanic and a creative idea. I loved the game. Sometimes I would appreciate highlighting which EXACT tiles will be placed, while hovering on the right side.

When you stare at it long enough, it gives you the scintillating grid illusion, which is kind of interesting.

And please tell what am I missing here, because I am at my wit's end. O_O
The devil is indeed in the details.

This game is very intriguing to me.
First off, the design of the level is incredibly cool.
I managed to find all of the items, but I have no Idea what they have in common.
When I found LEMON in the letter E building, I thought... lEmon and dEtail have both E as the second letter.
But that was a short lived theory.

Anyway, I enjoyed exploring the level even when not looking for the items. :)

I loved the ambience of this game.
It was quite tense to search the mansion, but I got the items.
The ghost sound, while funny, kind of breaks the atmosphere.
Pressing E is a little wonky at times.
Something about how the battery recharges felt weird.

But overall I really enjoyed the experience! :)
