I enjoyed playing your game and appreciated the story dialogs, which added depth to the game’s narrative. The soundtrack was also a highlight and created a great atmosphere throughout the game. Controls were unpolished which make it a little bit harder to play, also spikes were movable (don’t know if that was intentional). During the boss fight, fireballs has no effect but despite that, I was surprised by the boss fight and appreciated the change in music to create a more intense atmosphere. Overall, I think that idea is pretty good.
The controls need some fine tuning, especially jumping. Short but very nice game, I like the background art and character art. The boss music is smashing, so it's a bit disappointing, that you cannot fight the boss, but I at least returned and killed the skeletons with newly recieved fireballs :D
I like the theme and the art. Nice job! I’d say it’s more of a vision, then a prototype or a proof of concept. Jumping felt a little clumsy, as I was getting stuck on the geometry. I recommend checking this out, if you have not done so already. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWi0jgghGcI
Cool game, nice music and visuals. It was a bit annoying when the music was panning left, I assume that’s because you used Godot’s AudioStreamPlayer2D instead of the normal one. GG nonetheless!
For anyone who is going to try this: You cannot fight the demon. But he gives you sweet fireballs so you can return and annihilate the enemies.
Godot engine? I thought it was only used to teach gamedev courses..
Joking of course. Nice to see a game made with something else than Unity.
For some mysterious reason the music kept playing only from the left side.
Also, I was not sure how to fight enemies or whether to fight them at all. I found it funny how you can abuse the game physics and just toss them around.
Then the bossfight came and I turned into a F****N WIZARD and started blasting, but he was like "NAH" and refused to collaborate further.
I wasn't sure how to finish the game, so I just quit it.
1. I approve of your Godot joke.
2. I was testing the sound with earplugs which were running out of battery. I believe the thing I used for sound was actually a node meant to be used for spatial sound and I didn't attatch it to the player so its stuck in the (0,0) coordinates a.k.a top left corner.
3. The idea was to jump around the enemies. Get to the demon. Get amazing fireball powers. Shoot the enemies. And if I had the time to implement it - fight the demon.
Cool art, animations and movement! It all looks lovely together, and when I reached the boss, I was frightened and got the adrenaline to FIGHT!
Unfortunately, I couldn't kill the devil; not sure if I missed something :/
(plus for the Godot engine! <3)
