I actually use Sfzorando for all my strings because the base garageband ones weren't great, you're right.  It's a full set of orchestral instruments but I still don't have a good saxophone which I desperately want.  Thanks for the feedback!

One of the biggest things I'm still working on/learning with composing is the line between making something more interesting and making something TOO complex, so I'd agree I could've made stuff a little more variable.  Re: the stuff not feeling creepy, I get that too.  I've gotta work on getting outside my comfort zone with the chords and stuff I've LEARNED and just experiment a little more.

This has a really great vibe.  I'm not usually a chiptunes person, but the way you manage to create such an evocative tone within that limited framework is really impressive.
