how does he work?

Really love this mod and the concepts put into it, but I do feel like all the other interesting movement tech is mostly aesthetic flare with the current state of the walljump ability. You can scale just about any wall and regain your double jump off of any surface, which does seem like a fair way to prevent levelgen softlocks but doesn't inspire much creative use of the other mechanics. I think something like a celeste wallclimb and dash mechanic would probably suit the drift-jump and bolt climbing mechanics better. That, and I find the drift-jump incredibly strict to pull off. Seems like there's at most 2-3 frames to switch directions and jump, which tends to leave me mashing the keys when I need to pull it off.
"fixed" would probably entail breaking the sprite up and making a pseudo-3d model or layering completely new side textures. The biggest problem is the angled perspective on the sprite along with its size suggests the same approach as the throne, but being able to walk around it does break the immersion.
I'm finding that the mod loads in pieces... somehow. If installed by instructions given, rebalances to the characters' abilities apply (except for fish's extra gold), but the new starting weapons don't and the free item chest does not appear. If I *incorrectly* install it to the NTT mods folder, the free chest appears and these abilities load as well, but the new starter weapons attempt to load and become errors instead with the exception of the rusty revolver.
Seeing that the mod seems to load some parts properly in either place, I loaded the mod *twice*, once paired with DW and once from the NTT mods folder. This seems to give me a complete package, including the extra gold from fish. Nothing about the install instructions suggests this is how it is meant to behave, and I'd imagine I'm probably doing something wrong somewhere. I suppose if anyone is having this same problem, this is the solution for now.
I also haven't tested this behavior with the mutations expansion, so for now I'll play it safe and expect that any potential issues could be fixed by loading it twice.
Who said that they should be very secured? Not like your doing any harm to anyone but yourself and your own experience. Also, flares are BETTER when they damage shields. They're difficult to time such that they are useful otherwise, but when an enemy has 36 layers of shielding such a weapon is mandatory to progress.
Thanks for the quick response, and sorry for not having noticed it in decent time.
My owned techs (all are currently active) are as follows:
5 basic firepower units
1 advanced firepower unit
5 propulsors
2 turbochargers
1 weapon accelerator
1 ultramplifier
1 nuclearizer.
I am currently in the final zone, only a few spaces from the boss enemy of the zone.
