Hey, thank you so much for the kind words :). Yeah, i really wanted to do something with vertical and/or fast movement. Initially, the blue potion was supposed to add AoE to make it a traditional rocket-jump, but i changed my mind and made it more of a recoil-jump instead.

Sorry about those collision issues. A friend of mine also told me he clipped through a wall somewhere around that spot, but i can't figure out why 😅

Thank you for playing

i've learned a lot again and i've made a game i never would have made, were it not for the themes. Game Jams are magical :D

I did not expect body-horror as an entry of this jam. I'm now thoroughly unsettled. Well done, man

Dude, this is your first game? Its so pretty! I'm jealous.

as a sega kid, i'm liking that bass

Wow, really beautifully designed. All those visual effects are great!

While a little overwhelming at first, once you've learned to constantly swipe everything right until one of the required potions drop, the game becomes kind of endless 😅

Still, very fun, knocking the potions araound and playing with the physics. Very responsive

Nicely done. Nice minimalist and coherent art-style which is easy on the eyes. "But avoid the pianos!" and the "bonk"-sound made me chuckle :)

Dude, this is great! So many ways of combining dash, jump and attacks to trigger different attacks or enable extra jumps! Really well done secrets! Especially love the one with the two hearts just before entering the castle. That kind of design is my favourite. Give the player all the tools and then, with a secret like that, show them that they CAN e.g. do double jumps. Figuring stuff out this way is so much fun.

The boss-fight is also well done. Very well tuned difficulty. Lots of fun, trying to use every movement-tool available to dodge the fireballs and to try to get close enough to land an attack.

I do regret going left at the start, though °_°

i remember either hearing on the stream or reading somewhere, that we had to release the game as a web-build (to avoid malware). But i can't see that rule on the overview-page. Is that a requirement, or can we upload it as a zip?

Finally

Gish 2

That freaking Yamcha Pose xD

Stellar work
