Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! I did release another game last year that is playable in browser called The Cookie Project if you're looking for more web playable games from me!
I do try to make them playable in browser if I can but it's not always possible if the game size is too big, it just won't load everything properly unfortunately. Also I'm not sure the speccs of your computer but generally most visual novels (at least the ones we make!) aren't too intensive for PCs to run! We don't use video or a lot of animations.
Thank you!!! I appreciate that :D I have aspirations to bring them back in another game but it won't be a visual novel necessarily.
And re: Grimm's number, it's actually random for every game so I don't have an answer! You can roll back with the scroll on your mouse to choose different options if you want to cheat and try again, the number itself will stay the same once Grimm decides on it.
Hello! What are you experiencing this issue on (PC / mobile? And which browser?)
I find sometimes with the HTML web player, if you open the page and leave it for a long time without actually running the web game, when you go to run the web game you get an error (not sure if it's the same one in this circumstance). If you refresh and try loading/running the game right away it will fix that.
Thank you so much for your kind words!! It's really heartening to hear you enjoyed all the options :D it makes the extra work it took to write those scenes worth it!
as for the DLC, we are slowly chipping away at it (still on the writing stage) with updates here and there! hoping for a 2025 release (but when exactly, we don't know yet)
Aw I'm glad you enjoyed it and four's shenanigans!! Although, I need to clarify that the game both on web + in the downloads section are both the same file (as in , there isn't a more complete + bigger version of the game unfortunately!). The payment is set up as an optional donation but both the web/download versions are free. web version is available for folks who can only play on mobile or don't have a compatible PC.
While I would've loved to add more features like a character customizer (that was in my original plans! but I couldn't figure it out in time), this was a project done in just 5 weeks by myself so I was limited in time/resources. I kept it small on purpose just to have a light, quick & fun story experience :) Re: Eridanus, you can see some art of him in my last devlog about the game where I shared some previous art I did.
A delightful treat! All 3 routes were enjoyable. I liked how they each gave different perspectives on solving the main mystery. I was surprised at just how cohesive and how much writing there was for a jam game, it must have been a monumental task for 2 months. The music was sooo lovely (the violin rendition of the flute song in dragan's route was one of my favourites!), and I was amazed at how many backgrounds there were. The background art and the UI design in general was almost nostalgic to me, like it felt very familiar and home-y.
I have to say my fave LI was Aeden because of his reaction to Astora's wittiness (so many lines had my kicking my feet asjdhjkads) and the banter between them but I really enjoyed the different flavours of each of the 3 LIs and how their attraction to Astora was portrayed.
The character customization was a really nice added touch, it was so nice to be able to have a dark skinned PoC MC and it still flattered the sprite without looking off or like an afterthought. I was impressed by how many outfit changes the MC had too! That was a lot of work for a jam! All in all, I really enjoyed this game! A dark fantasy fairy world with gaelic (?) folklore made for a unique and fun setting to delve into.
we ask ourselves that every day LOL
Thank you for the Briar love!!! He's definitely getting his route (as well as content for the others) but it's taken us a bit longer than we hoped. Still, it's in the works and we'll be updating our devlogs here and on our tumblr with our progress :) Thank you for your support!
Hello! We decided not to set a concrete release date for now until we have some more progress done (which we'll be working on regularly this year and posting on our socials), because last time we gave release windows we hoped to meet but couldn't and it was really disheartening. We posted a little devlog update explaining more about this if you're interested! But we're still deeply committed to finishing the extra content, the sooner the better so we can move on to other games :D Thank you for your support!
Thank you so much for your kind words!! I can't put into words how much we appreciate it ♥ Hearing anyone say they've always wanted to play a game like ours really reaffirms why we make them!
We're deeply motivated to give Briar his route and add more content to our little game!! ty for your support!
