Thanks for making this thread! Just downloaded your game, gonna check it out soon!

Hey! Just downloaded your game, gonna go check it out soon.

If you like puzzle games, maybe you'll enjoy mine as well!

Cute and well-polished game, great job!

I kinda wish that the player would have to actually think and strategize on where to use the keys. Right now (except for lvl 2, I believe), you either use the key right away the moment you got it, or complete a short platforming section and use the key when you have nowhere else to go. This, I think, makes the level design quite linear despite having multiple dimensions. Effectively, nothing in the moment-to-moment gameplay of most of the levels would change if you removed the keys and just stitched the dimensions together into one left-to-right platforming level.

However, the game is still very fun and has a lot of potential if you go a little deeper with the main mechanics. Keep it up!

Thanks for making this thread! Here's my little game, hope you enjoy it:

Oh, I see, thank you for finding that out and explaining the issue! I'll definitely need to fix that after the jam ends.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Though, I agree that it's not the most creative interpretation of the theme, but I still wanted to make something just for fun and to practice.

Thank you for feedback! I wanted to implement an undo button to make the game less punishing, but due to the way the game's logic works, it would take too much time and fine-tuning. However, I am going to add it in a post-jam patch.

Fun little game with a unique concept, enjoyable execution, cool mechanics and progression! (Bonus points for adding ragdolls, they are always fun to mess around with)

Using your own game engine is very impressive! And the game came out quite fun and well-polished, nice job!

Thank you for your feedback! There's now a "Hints" section on the game's page, where some unintuitive mechanics are explained.

Thanks for your feedback! I've added a few hits to the game's page.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I did get first place for fun factor though ;)

Nice proof of concept, really liked the vibrant art style and planet spinning effect!

Candles seem like an afterthought though and don't really make any sense in the setting.

Aside from that, this is a solid foundation to build upon, if you want to develop it further.

What a surprisingly cute and cozy game!

Didn't get it at first, but tried again and left with a smile on my face! The creature designs are cute, creative and feel organic to this strange world, I only wish there were more of them.

Keep it up! I can see this concept turned into a short but unique indie game, it just needs a little bit more content.

Nice! Short, simple, but well-polished, which is very important.

It would be cool if there was something to drive home the idea that you're playing as a firefly. Maybe make the movement feel more floaty or continuous, like you're actually flying through the air. Or make bumping into walls damage you, since there's no real losing conditions except accidentally lighting two candles in a row, which is easily avoidable.

But overall, well done for something made in just seven hours!

Thanks for the feedback!
I actually did want to add a compass, but didn't quite have the time to implement it before the deadline.
Glad you liked the game.
