Thanks for playing the game! It is true there wasn't much time to balance things after everything was added and it makes sense that healing should be rare and less powerful. Or maybe everything should do more damage.

Also, that does seem strange to have a unit with that high of hp. Was that from some bug with healing or was that straight from the shop?

Woah 2694 is super high, my best was just over 2k and I thought I pushed it to the limit.

Thanks! And yeah you can reach insane speeds by extending and retracting the grapple at the right times.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for your comment! I am glad you appreciated the way new stuff gets introduced. I've been realizing now though that the bad part of doing that is that now most people that play this game don't ever see that stuff :/

I don't mind at all! I'd like to see what you come up with

Thanks for playing!

You can actually control the character when he's falling, maybe it just doesn't look like it because he falls pretty fast.

Spoilers for the last level now: the trick is to just do a really quick press of the button to release a block and then use it to stop the other block from hitting the red button.

The art is really cool, it makes things feel chaotic in a good way!

In other shameless news, if you are interested in a puzzle game you can check out what we worked on.

Wow good job on paying attention to even the little stuff. I added the player looking down over edges mechanic on a whim thinking that no one else would ever notice. Thanks for noticing!

This game was fun! Its cool that you took a more platforming focused direction with the one jump idea, we focused a lot more on puzzles with one jump with our game.

Cool art and the movement feels really nice. The game totally freaks out for me whenever I think there is supposed to be screenshake? I powered through that though!

Here you can check out our take on the only one jump idea

This game is really fun! I beat it and I like the variety of mechanics.

We also took on the idea of only having one jump! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462090

This game is super cool! I thought my team focused on polish for a long time on our game, but you took it to a whole new level.

This game feels really nice to play and you did a good job of using the one jump mechanic for a platformer. My team took the one jump idea and instead used it for a puzzle game.

Pretty fun! I like the physicsy feel to the game and the levels were interesting.

The physics part of your game make our game also about having one jump feel a little more rigid

I really like the more unique approach to the one jump mechanic, we also made a game all about having one jump and I would have thought that all of these games would pretty much look alike. Good job!

You can check out our one jump game here!

Nice job, I like the level designs!

We also made a puzzle game all about having only one jump, check it out!

I really like the atmosphere of the game, and the sound effects are perfect.

This was fun! I like the art and how the missiles do so much damage if they hit the enemies.

I'm really proud of what my team made! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462090

I really enjoyed this! Great job with the shadows, particle effects, and screen shake.

You took a fun, simple, idea and executed it well!

Even though I got an F I had fun

Surprisingly addictive game! It would be five times better with high scores and a bit faster movement.

I like the graphics a lot, but I could never seem to actually kill anything, just knock them over before their friends would knock me over. A health system would have made the game more forgiving and easy to get into.

Interesting game, but the one button controls were very tough to use and it was pretty unclear how to do things.

Incredibly unique game! Never would have thought of something like this. It's pretty tough though

This was interesting! The way you control the ship is very unique. Pretty difficult though.

It's a nice relaxing puzzle game

Fun little game! I can imagine this being a phone game with a lot of levels

This is fun!
I suggest you add a way to speed up text.

I really like the idea of this game, and the only thing holding me back from enjoying playing the game is the difficulty of the driving part, sometimes it seems like there's no good way to weave in between enough cars.
