Thanks for playing!

Ts 5-7 are always successful.

They count as a tech skills you know (once you discover em of course). So if you know TS1 and TS5, you're rolling 2 dice.

The intention of tech skills is that you pick 1, roll, and see if it failed or not. There is no reverting to a different skill. (But play as you wish)

I try to think about it realistically. If you attempt to dodge and strike, but miss the attack, it'd be a little odd if your arrows just caught on fire.

Hope this helps! If you have any more questions feel free to ask! I'm on the discord all the time and usually respond quicker there if that helps. Link to it at hinokodo.com

Start by translating the riddle. Every letter you need is in the book. You just have to look for them. Perhaps begin with the table of contents.

You're very welcome.

This would be great to have. Maybe a drop down of 5-10 popular socials and let us fill in the link. Unfortunately Twitter just isn't what it used to be.

oh wow good catch! The item catalog is correct. Fruit is buy $1 sell $0. and Meal bars are buy $2 sell $1.

any color works! There's no dice swapping or the sorts, just makes it easier to tell what is 'your info' and what is 'the game's info'. Feel free to use whichever colors you wish! Just as long as they're D6 I think it'll be fine.

I answered ya over on youtube, but so folks here see it too:

You got it, It's really hard at first. The day 3 weapon helps a lot, but can't often kill something.
So until you explore and find a weapon, or money and a village, you'll have to run away.
Thematically this makes sense, as your character has never been in a dangerous situation like this before. You don't know how to fight and being able to kill everything that crosses your path from the beginning is not super interesting to me.
I like the slow build up to being powerful. Let the journey make you stronger and until then, you gotta be a little strategic with what interacts with you!

You got this, good luck!

Right!

There is only 1 village in Miru 2. It appears during a cutscene.

Ah yes sorry, I think I was going back and forth on how much was there and missed the edit.

The intention was 20 bitliths!

Hiya! Check out pg.7!

When situations like this pop up, use the priority map.

You're 0. If east isn't an option cause you're at the edge of the map, you'll check space 2, then 3, etc until a space is open for what you're doing.

Hope this helps! If you have more questions, I can answer them a bit quicker on the discord. (Link on hinokodo.com)

Ohh good find. I'll add it to the list. I'm down to like 20 copies so a reprint is imminent and I'll fix typos then.

But you did laugh and that's very human of you. Hope the rest of your day goes better. Looking forward to your next creation.

oh. Sorry about the inconvenience! I'm available on nearly all social platforms, and via email. Happy to send a link to any digital files you need if scanning a QR code is an issue. (you're here on itch, so you seem to have found the right place!) We used to host the digital files on our own site, but there were way to many tech issues with that, many folks couldn't find the links, the downloads wouldn't work, and so on. We saw it best to let itch handle the hosting, and put a code in the physical books. What's great about a QR code is we can make sure everyone who purchases a physical copy gets access to the digital files no matter who or where the books are sold. We don't have to rely on every bookstore who carries this game to have to host the digital files if they even offer that service.  Most physical books out in the world don't include the digital files, so we think of that as a bonus, but I completely understand your frustration. 7 billion out of 8 billion people appear to have access to a smartphone, according to a few sources, so we felt it was safe to use a QR in the book. Again, sorry for any inconvenience!

It's a secret code that will come up as you continue your story. Take note and use it when it becomes relevant on one of the cut scene days.

Events don't repeat, so you'll only ever experience Grasslands R6 once. But yes to how the skipping mechanic works! (in fact that's the most likely scenario, skipping 7+ days). In MIRU, days, mechanically, are mostly your chance to gather up items and buff up for the big fight.

Hiya! Any way to purchase the physical book straight through you? or is IPR the best route?

Sorry for the late response, message me on twitter or discord for faster results. apologies!

Events/Days don't repeat. After you end the day 3 cutscene, it'll be Day 4 and so on.

Hmm, You don't roll for god events. Are you playing with Miru 1 second edition (2e?)?
Maybe you're reference Grasslands R6. If that's the case, You'll wrap up the first night as usual, eat & sleep. The next day you'll skip calendar days as if it were the beginning of Day 3. On cutscene days "god events", you'll go to page 32 and read the day you're on (in your case the first cutscene on day 3. and just do what it says from there. )

Pretty rare to get Grasslands R6 on your first day. You lucky duck!

interesting I'll check that out. I used a stylus to draw over an old design. So everything is a stroke. I'll see if there's a way to group em up without it doing anything odd to the shapes. I use Affinity designer (and never really picked up Adobe illustrator so this side of design is new to me!)

yes that's exactly it!

if you message me in Twitter or discord or Instagram I can tell you what's wrong.

ts8 has you throw your weapon, so you can't use it again next turn if you only have one weapon left! You can only throw a weapon once per battle. I would save that for the end of battle.

The last cryptic puzzle is very hard! But I bet EVEN  you can figure it out, especially since you got the maps figured out.

if it lands on a tile you've been to before, you'll use the priority map to find the next possible spot. Just go up the numbers. (So if you rolled a 12 and it's not a mountain like map 8 wants, you'll check tile 13, then 14 and onward until you find a blank tile or the terrain that the map points out. ) it's like the map says "this treasure is somewhere south in the mountains", use the compass to find it.

1. Radio tower counts as an icon on the map yep!

2. You can use the same tower to decrypt all maps. Since that tile is a place you've visited before you would do steps (A-C-H-F-G) the event for the radio tower building would be decrypting the maps. So once you've done those yes, your day would end. (You can do all 3 in the same day)

3. Tiles with a treasure icon on them work like I demonstrated above. A-C-H-F-G. The 'event' is just finding the treasure no exciting text for those im afraid. The decrypted maps should tell you the terrain of the area you unlocked. Basically grab treasure and end the day.

Oh you're updating your comment! I was like... wasn't there more to answer! Sorry for the late reply, I just got to my computer! Congrats on cracking the code!!!

To decrypt a map, you'll need to be on the radio tower tile. Once you've solved the puzzle, you'll roll 3xD6. Use the priority map on pg05. (So if you roll a 12, the treasure on the map is 2 spaces south of the tile you're on.

There are a few opportunities during different events to interact with a Helper F2. (You may have the option to kill it) With a PDF if you type ctrl+F you can search a document for a word. So if you really want a Helper F-2, see where it pops up in bold and just be on the lookout for that. Just glancing back over everything, i see at least 2 opportunities to interact with a dead Helper F2. Feel free to note on your map after you've killed one so you can go back and visit it if needed.

Excited to have ya on board! As an artist and writer (and human) it's important to me we keep the integrity of the icon to a high and reliable standard. Don't want folks getting confused if we can avoid it.

I'd say if there's any doubt in the art you're using (stock art is totally fine) is made from ai art generators, I'd ask you not use the symbol (even if the writing is human made).

I'm not familiar with Canva enough to give you a direct answer. I'd just ask if we can keep the use of the icon as an 'all was human made' on projects, that'd my preference to avoid confusion and ill feelings from the folks looking for great human made experiences.

The tile you move to for day 35 will have a radio tower in it yes. the other 2 you'll find as you play the game. They're random.

Map Decryption can be found on pg. 45. Depending on which map you are trying to decrypt, you'll translate the cryptic language next to the spaces you need to fill out. I can't spoil how to translate the text, but everything you need is in the book. The only hint i feel is appropriate to post publicly is that you should look at the chapter titles. You can use the grid page at the back of the book to take notes for the language.

There are 3 radio towers in MIRU 2. One you'll find after Day 35 and two you'll find in the events (Radio Tower will be in bold).

Rad to hear! Would love to see it when it's live!

1. A training roll is how you use tech skills. Roll up to 3 dice (this depends on how many tech skills you know), and if you roll a number that is equal to or less than the current level of that tech skill, then you hit the opponent and level up. Otherwise you miss.

2. In MIRU 2, you don't have to number the village.

all items carry over! So as long as you ended MIRU 1 with the engineered plant you're good to go!

1. Yep, the journals/survival book unlock the ability to use the appropriate Tech Skill! You got it!
2. You can do it either way. I wouldn't count minor injuries after 3. Whatever you find more fun/challenging. I think one bad dream is enough. haha! But if you want to, feel free to reset it back to 1 after you get the 3rd trigger.

Start of the day!

1a. No limit on equipment you can hold.

1b. Your def equals your wearables  plus 1. (Your base stats are 1 Atk and 1 Def)

2.cut scene triggers depending on the calendar. Follow the scene to see how it plays out. Some start right away, some want you to move to a tile first, some happen after the day ends. The cut scene will guide you with terrain and what to do.

3. You share the same location as the god when it appears. That is space O. Move the god based on the map on pg.7

ANY enemy you face that day will have half their HP.

Great question!

When attacking with Tech Skill it adds addition ATK power, so yes you'll include the ATK power of the weapon you're using! I ran out of space for an example on that, so i totally get the question there!

If you die, the day starts over. You'd delete the tile you discovered and begin the day anew. New terrain and event! (Although it's not a hard rule, feel free to attempt the same terrain/event if you'd like, as enemies you face that day have half their HP!) You HAVE to repeat cut scene days if you die. No way around those.

1. Yes village numbers will go up as you find them. You'll need to find village 4 to get access to quest 4. And village 3 to get access to all shop items. Numbering them will help you keep track much easier.

2. Max 3 stun means an enemy can only have 3 stuns applied to it. Combat effects last the rest of the fight, so if you were to hit the enemy with an electrified arrow, it would inflict 1 stun. On your next turn if you hit them again they'd have 2 stun. And again next turn for 3 stun. If you shoot them with an electrified arrow a 4th time, they don't get anymore STUN. It maxes at 3. Hard to summarize in the small space I had in the book, but hope this helps.

I tried to be very careful with my wording throughout the book, so if you don't see a rule that says you can do something, you probably can't.

hiya!

1. Starvation is caused by not having food available when you camp at night. Think of it like "going to sleep hungry". The only time you can eat in the game is when you camp. So if you had food, your starvation counter would reset to zero.

2. Yes! The taser is a general weapon and can be used in combat. Check out pg. 52 for info on items you find. The taser is solar powered and can only be used once a day. Great for getting out of a pickle. It will also stun the enemy, a combat effect you can find on pg.09.

Good luck! Happy to answer any other questions you think of!
