A few minutes ago I updated the game a bit regarding the feedback on the stars, because it clearly was a lack of me trying to view the game from someone who didnt spent hours on making it.
I hope my next games will feature better gameplay.
(The Web build is the new one, with the download for the first version still being available)
Yea it hurt me too, the big problem was that because the camera is confined to the background size it would make the camera stop abruptly, and the faster the camera, the more sudden it would stop which kinda went against me wanting to make it more relaxing in visual tone.
If it wasnt for a gamejam i def wouldve searched for a better solution ^^
Thank you so much for the feedback.
Yea I think the best way to fix it would be spawning the stars more frequently, currently a star spawns every 20 seconds (which is pretty much whenever your light hits around 10
Making it more frequent would enable the player to find more of em with a shorter down time of nothing happening.
I guess me having done art for over 10 years and just starting out as a Game Dev really shows in how theres more focus on Visuals over Gameplay haha.
how fun!
The choice of music make it a big vibe to just run around and demolish ghosts!
Smallest Note:
- at one point I threw the lightbulb and lost track of it because it blends quite in, so a small semi transparent white bulb would stand out a bit more from the background. to make it easier to find especially when zooming along the screen at high speed :D
