Fun game! Progressively updating the rules reminds me of Papers, Please and bomb defusal in puzzle style reminds me of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

The rules get so complicated though. I guess it's on purpose because otherwise the game would be too easy. It was probably difficult to code all this complicated logic without any errors.

papers please and ktane were definitely big inspirations for this game, loved botha them as a kid. And yeah you're definitely right about the logic, you have no idea how bad my code looks (i should add that i did have 1 error in the OG version)

Really fun idea, I like that you have time to check the rules before you start each round. It would benefit from finding a more easily digestible way to communicate the rules (splitting them into short bullet points instead of long paragraphs for example) and I ran into an issue where scrolling through the rules also affected the zoom, but aside from that it was a good time. All the bombs that exploded felt like my own fault for not fully reading or remembering the rules.

like the idea but its really hard to read the prompts quickly

Nice game, I liked the complexity of your rules! It made it engaging and interesting. Unfortunately I was hard to tell when rules would change all the time due to scrolling, but I do like that you made them flash green to signify the change, it definitely helps!

Very fun, and awesome concept.
I love it!

Basically a 1 player KTaNE.

The graphics choice sadly really made it hard to read the promps fast in the middle of the heat and due to the scrolling sometimes you might not notice a bomb rule changing.

I really liked this! Such a great idea and executed well :)

It would be nice to have the rules more clearly displayed and to let the player know which rules have changed (but this is great for a jam version).

Also, it would be good to know which rule I broke when I die. I was never sure if I had forgotten a rule, misunderstood it or if the game was bugged!

I really wanted to add both of the features you suggested(signifying which rules were changed, the rule broken on death) but i completely ran out of time - i even left a bug in the game: if you got the "if all [color] buttons are pressed" and died that's probably why( it gives false negatives :( ).  Fix coming soon!

Pretty fun game! The instructions do need to be clearer and easier to read.

Developer

yeah, i definitely had difficulties wording the prompts.. its so hard to make them both clear and concise

The game was pretty fun, but you could make the wording a bit clearer. I also want to say that you could remove the underscores from the variables in the UI, but that's just a nitpick. Otherwise, great game, well done!

Developer

im gonna be completely honest: the reason i put the underscores there was because whenever i put spaces in the text, the outlines would mess up, and i had about 30 minutes left at the time so i just went with the bandaid solution lol. Also yeah, the wording was definitely lacking. Thanks for the feedback!
