“Send” is a word I borrowed from ElfQuest, of all places, and it’s how the elves communicate telepathically. In the source, at least, sendings must be “true,” but for some long-suffering elves that means their sendings can cause terror. I’d say that’s a lot of mythology and darkness for Goblin Errands, but generally the intent is only communication. I would let you “lie” with it also.

I meant “shift” as perhaps “nudge.” I wanted some kind of telekinesis but without overcoming the restrictions of zero frame.

Gadgets would be sharp for advanced feats! I may keep tinkering with it.

I really cut it down to the wire there, so it’s not the most polished submission. Regardless, happy birthday Martin!

Even though I joined and never submitted, I really enjoyed having this intention. If nothing else, it got me to read The Willows. Looking forward to reading the submissions.

To be honest, I made this because I had similar reservations myself. There are some notes about what's been cut from the rules in the appendix, but the full game has more than I could list there: more settings, scenarios, fish, animals, and player options. It also has more guidance on running different types of game (one-shot, interlude, collaborative world-building, campaign play) and for a broader audience (while I allowed myself the luxury of assuming an audience with a similar background in RPGs to my own).

Thanks! It's been really great to have your enthusiasm from the start, and if you're not careful I'll have to turn your praise into blurbs.

Found it. (Three death boxes.)

Wonder & Wickedness, a popular set of freeform casting rules, available as a booklet on DTRPG, I think.

How many death boxes do you start with?

Thanks! When we did the pocket mod jam, your pocket mod games were brought up specifically as good examples (along with Oddpool by Nathan Ryder and The Titan Bound by FK, which were both for ItO). There were only two other entries in the jam (it was a short deadline), and to my knowledge, one was never shared outside the ItO Discord. The other one is here!

I think I have made them work in GIMP (2.10.10, linux).

1. Copy the .abr files to ~/.config/GIMP/2.10/brushes (you can leave them in subdirectories).

2. Copy the folders of patterns from the CSP brushes to ~/.config/GIMP/2.10/patterns (you can leave them in subdirectories and also leave them as pngs).

3. Using the clone tool, select "Pattern" as the source and select one of the glitch patterns. You can use any brush, but the new brushes will be square.

The only downside to this method is that the pattern does not scale with the brush, which I assume it would in PS or CSP. It also always starts in the same place in the pattern, so you'll want to move in different directions or swap the patterns with some frequency.

Anyway, thanks for making these! I found them in the giant bundle and I'm excited to use them.

Thanks! The json file is mostly for the benefit of David Schiuridan, so he can add them to his generator more easily.

I am explicitly OK with this, and implicitly under the license of my entry.
