Thanks Cereal! I agree, still trying to decide if I should go all in on the simulation route, or casual gameplay with exploration and minor building mechanics...guess we'll see.

And yes, you are correct. Currently only travel and seeding.

Hey Slater, thanks for the kind words. Yeah the seeds use Global Counters. And I also like the idea of being able to claim a system, I got it technically kind of working however I knew it'd completely bug out if one tried to claim and another player on another server tried to claim before it updated that it was already taken. Came up with some workarounds for it, just needs more testing.

I will say, getting the UI to render properly and optimizing so movement was smooth took like 90% of the Jam time :P

Yeah I toyed with the idea of having it based on distance, but didn't like how it felt. Originally you could travel to far point for a big boost in speed then set a new travel point mid journey to get to closer positions faster. I didn't want spreading out to be so easy at the start.

And thanks for the info about how it looks on 21:9. I'll look into fixing that for ya :)

Thanks ephemerald :), and haha no fault to you. I spend most of the Jam time on fighting Crayta's inconsistencies with standard JS/CSS that I didn't have time to work on the mechanics, so it's more of just exploration at the moment. The plan was to have it where once players have seeded a planet enough it would unlock a different panel to begin colonization efforts (i.e. growing population, establishing infrastructure, etc.).
