Makes sense! Wish I had more time, submitting it this way was not ideal, I’ll agree. 😆

*SPOILERS*

Love the descriptiveness of your writing! Great sense of... interiority (and.. exteriority??) to the player character(s) as you sort out where you are/what's happening/*who* you are. The railroading at the beginning ("duffel is too high for you", "tunnel is too small for you", followed by "surprisingly strong!") both built anticipation for what the central *problem* was going to turn out to be *and* added to what felt like an intentional throughline of like... coming into an awareness of one's body and the ways it can feel alien/limiting to one's mind. Resonated with me as someone with a chronic pain condition. And then embracing/conquering that in a game-y way was real satisfying by the end.

The variety of of Twine-tricks and font changes employed were super effective, too. 😀

Thanks for sharing. 💖

Nice! I like the bubbly pixel UI, and the warp concept has a nice feel with the delay after activating it and the elasticity of being shot out the other side.

I was hoping to find more ways of using the warp against how I was "supposed to" to feel more like I was cheating, but I assume there will be more opportunities for that as levels are added. I *was* able to use it to get past the lasers at the end of the final level by dropping through the floor instead of timing my drops past the lasers, and that was a big highlight for me. :D

Loved the art and 3d models, the thrust "trails" off the ship's engines were especially satisfying to look at. The "cheating" reminded me of Nintendo's design style over the past decade of giving you options to buff or become invincible if you game over a lot. Impressed also by the entirely graspable six-axis movement working well in a browser window! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Had fun putting it together.

Yeah, the controls definitely need tuning, maybe I’ll tweak the speed and add some smoothing to the cursor movement if it’s allowed to patch post-jam deadline...

I’m also considering releasing a downloadable version with controller support. 😊

Anyways, thanks for playing and for the feedback!

hehe, thanks, in keeping with the childhood playground theme, i was doing a riff on "pop goes the weasel" with that music! :D

this had a real pleasant and cohesive vibe, love the "game-feel" with the squishy expand then smash each time you click on a magical gem, still working on what a good *strategy* is beyond random clicking but i've never been good at puzzle-grid games :D

Especially enjoy the *soft* pixel art here, clean and full of personality! I yearned for a way to brake when i overshot things but perhaps being able to do so would've taken away from the game's intent of having me better wrap my mind around the single-thruster physics.

Didn't get a chance to try in co-op which looks great!

feels real good

so glad you got something out of it, thank you 💖

Thanks! truly means a lot whenever I hear someone enjoyed it. 🙏👌

Thanks for the kind words! And sure thing, just wrote it up, here's a link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5zsxfurhqta54tp/cairn_transcript.txt?dl=0

can’t argue with you there :P

thank you!!

This was a nifty little game within the contraints, reminded me a bit of the "boxboy" games on 3ds. Thanks for making & sharing! <3

🙇

thanks so much! ☺️

Hehe, thanks for the coverage, ghost person!

I’ve been so touched and inspired by your own work, Cecile, thank you. 🙇🏻

"There's still a warm glow when I think of them"

This was full of a nice, earnest, melancholy wistfulness. Made the less assertive choice at the end and thought the result matched the mood of the rest of the story well. Nice, poetic ending. Enjoyed. :)

Can't blame you there. ;)

Now, even!

Hehe, thanks for trying, full (though still half-baked...) thing up soon!

That was phenomenal, really got my Wario Ware nostalgia going while being its own thing with a great win state ;)

Wow thanks for playing and to the end, too! This comment made my day, glad you enjoyed. 👍

Love the synthesis of music, warm/misshapen art style, and animation. It really did put me in a sort of zen, dreamy mood on this lazy Saturday morning. Only thing that briefly took me out of it was walking a good bit past the forest into a no-mans land and slowly realizing there was nothing to "do" there, then slowly walking all the way back. Of course getting away from being so focused on "doing" things is perhaps some of the point of this game!

Brilliant timing and art with the smile at the end. Thanks for making and sharing this. :)

Thanks so much for playing and for the honest feedback! I have lots of ideas on how to improve and elaborate on this little thing. <3
