+1 for the double jump animation :) this character is really great!

Oh awesome! Thank you so much, the artwork and animations are amazing! I'll definitely be purchasing then :) Do you think your Country Village pack goes well with this character? Or do you have any other tileset recommendations? I'm planning on creating a sidescrolling runner game. Thanks again!

This character looks really awesome! Thinking about purchasing for a game project. Does the character have an animation for shooting while running? Or does the character have to be stopped, crouched, or jumping?

Great game! Keep up the awesome work! A single player practice mode would be really cool as well!

This is awesome!

Really nice work!

Thank you for all your hard work! This is great!

+1 for multiplayer :)

Thank you for all your great work!

Ah okay, yeah Godot 4 is looking really great!

This is looking really great! I plan on purchasing this course in a couple of weeks when beta 1 drops

This template is very nice! Do you plan on porting this to Godot 4? Beta 1 is supposed to be releasing in a couple weeks

I'm glad to hear that you plan to continue working on this! :) Thank you for the extra information as well! I may take a go at this if I can this week.

dang I feel you on that, I found this open source godot addon that is working towards an advanced movement system. Currently the project is lacking combos or combat mechanics, which is why I find your template really great! https://github.com/ywmaa/Advanced-Movement-System-Godot

Nice work! Really looking forward to updates to this or your souls like template

That is a really good idea! a visual indicator showing which direction the next enemy is coming from before they show on screen

nice!

Really great work!

Really great work! Just discovering your pixel art. Is this available for use in commercial projects?

This is really awesome! Keep up the great work!

Nice!

Looks really great!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

  • The charge attack input buffer is next on my list, to improve the feel of combat! definitely something that I think will improve the overall feel of gameplay.
  • I will look into what caused the game getting stuck in pause mode, as this is the first time hearing of it, thank you!
  • Unfortunately chests are not interactable yet, but this is on the to do list for next weeks update! I would like them to spawn as rewards for clearing rooms, with random loot!

Thank you so much for the great feedback! I've been working on the game these past few days and am releasing an update today. unfortunately I could not implement the input buffer yet, in order to charge your attacks early and make combat feel much nicer. This is planned for next weeks update for sure! as I see this as a big issue for my game feel. I have not encountered the bug of weapons not working yet, but I did do some optimizations regarding the weapon animations, and I wasn't properly resetting values sometimes, so this may have been fixed, but I will definitely keep my eye out for it. Thank you again! :)

Thank you! The current version is pretty hard! I have yet to implement regaining of health, and the ability to improve your stats. Version 0.3 next week should be easier! :)

Thank you, I appreciate it!

Thanks!

😂 I like it! Will definitely be considered in the final decision

Any name suggestions appreciated!

oh alright, thanks for the quick response! ill post a link of my project when it gets further along

This pack is great! I'm using it to start a Godot project for a Rougelite. Do you plan on adding any more animations? A dash animation for the player would be cool! and maybe a spinning animation for a power attack. Attack animations for the enemies would be awesome as well! maybe a jump animation for the slimes? Thank you for spending your time and talent on this great piece of art!

Really looking forward to this tutorial series! I have been saving money, so i can purchase it before the Kickstarter ends!

Just played the updated version. It ran relatively well, but My GTX 1660 super is maxed out at 100% usage the entire time.

I agree! With version 0.2 I uploaded a new Mac file as well. I haven't received any feedback regarding if it's working correctly, so if anyone could test this, I would greatly appreciate it

Thanks for you feedback! I see how the versioning and current state of the game could be misunderstood by the broader game audience. I just don't like the word Demo just because it implies that I don't want to give my game away for free and that until you pay, this is all you get. But if I can't think of a better word to call it so people know it's incomplete, then I'm not opposed to adding Demo to the title.

I agree, somthing I want to tweak and fix for sure

awesome! I really like the improved sprites!

Awesome update! Thank you!

Thank you for reporting this!  I will look into what could be causing the file error in my Godot export settings. I will definitely let you know when I upload a new Mac file to see if we can get it working! All my friends have windows :(

Thank you for pointing that out! I fixed the download for Linux now, and it should work. My game hasn't been played on Linux yet, so let me know if you can get this to work properly! Thanks!
